How can I get the providus bank card? I opened the account today. I heard of locked fund of 100k for 3 months. How true is that?

Someone help me with the details.
You get the card when you credit the account with 100k after the account is opened. I got my card on the second day of opening the account. I transferred another 200k into it,then went to AliExpress and spent 275k.
Your money Is not tied up for months. I suggest you choose the normal card instead of the embossed platinum card which would take longer for them to make available.

Sorry but you lack compassion. Leprosy is not even as virulent as you make it to be, certainly not like ebola or else the whole area would be a disaster zone by now. All of us went to school.

Lagos state needs to have its acts right. The state should not be very proative about raising down buildings in the name of developments and urban renewal and relegate health conditions of the residents.

At Allen Junction, just at the bus stop imagine. There is a being with FULL BORNE LEPROSY there seated in the full glare of everyone in the area. Leprosy is an air borne disease. Imagine having such a human being in the open every day, imagine the millions of microbes that this man is broadcasting.

It's super illiteracy on your part to not know there are legal loopholes that exist that make tenants stay 6 months if the landlord doesn't do the right thing...

In the case of the OP, if his rent is almost expired and the landlord hadn't issued him a quit notice 6 months prior, he can spend 6 months. If they fail to reach an agreement on the new rent, he's obligated to issue them a quit notice 6 months prior, meaning that the duration can be used by the tenant...
The six months period is paid for by the tenant. There is no free period.
I rent out quite a few premises in Abeokuta and I do have to correct quite a few people on the matter even educated ones.

That's not an increase, it's a quite notice in disguise. An increase in rent wouldn't be more than 50% addition, which would still be negotiated but this one is chasing all of you out stylishly.

My advice is for you guys to use your free 6 months as permitted by law and move out of the house.
Lol, which free six months is permitted by law. Only illiterates believe that nonsense

Since when did a ban in US become a criteria for office in Nigeria?
U are never going to achieve any change with people like Farotimi, u don't achieve change with noise, you achieve change with hard work by transforming your society not by attacking other people.
U people are so Iost u don't even have the basic idea on how to enact change, Farotimi is using u for cheap popularity which will increase his economic gain.
What has he ever done to add value to the society?
Can u outline them for me?
You are obviously a troll

Making lousy claims about Chief justice does not translate to u "tackling" him, lots of people made lousy claims about the last CJN and said all sorts of garbage.
Activism in Nigeria is used for cheap popularity, driving media traffic etc etc.
The present chief justice of Nigeria was banned from setting foot in the US. What does that tell you. Fact of the matter is some people have balls and would tackle the system no matter the repercussions while the rest of us wail on nairaland. I salute people like Farotimi, without them change will not come.

JagabanBorgu:
If you are intelligent like u claimed, u would have understood long ago.
Understand what, you are making blanket generalisations which is usually a sign of intellectual laziness. You cannot just lump all activists into the same group. That's cynicism, knowing the price of everything but knowing the value of none.
When a man takes it upon himself to tackle supreme Court judges and Uber lawyers then obviously the man has got balls hanging. What have you and your ilk done to address all the controversial supreme Court decisions of the past years apart from wailing on nairaland. The present chief justice of Nigeria was banned from entering US because of the imo state Uzodimma judgement.
Lumping everything together is laziness, the world is more nuanced than that and requires more work to sort the wheat from the chaff. Not all pastors are fake, not all Muslims are bad people and not all activists are in it for the cash. I'm not claiming to be intelligent but stupidity pervades Nigeria and it is manifest in the Nigerian condition.

From my experience, unintelligent people have the tendency to project themselves on others.
The fact that u are f00Ied by some opportunists and others are not does mean u are intelligent, it rather shows the opposite because u can't identify an opportunist.
And what are you on about.

Majority of Nigerians are totally insane. They are ready to fight and crucify the person(s) sacrificing everything to save them just like the Jews upon whose Jesus Christ Our Lord started His salvation. Have any of these headless chickens ever taken out their time to listen to Dele Farotimi, Sowore and the likes and point out to me where these people have wronged them other than pointing out the criminalities of the ruling classhuh?
I don't think it has anything to do with insanity but everything to do with stupidity and extremely low I.Q.
Don't be fooled, Nigerians are not very intelligent.

We won’t rest until Nigerians experience a better living standard — President Tinubu
President Bola Tinubu says he won’t rest until Nigerians feel the positive impact of his reforms in their pockets and enjoy a better standard of living.
The president said this while reacting to the newly released third quarter Gross Domestic Product (GDP) report by the National Bureau of Statistics.
Nigeria’s GDP grew by 3.46 per cent, compared to the 3.19 per cent growth recorded in the second quarter, according to the NBS.

A statement by Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare stated that the growth in GDP showed that President Tinubu’s quest for a more robust boost in the economy and, by extension, a better standard of living for all Nigerians is on course.
Tinubu said his administration has not and will never forget his promise of a $1 trillion economy by 2030.
“Once the economy is rebased by early 2025 to capture its dynamism and record significant changes that have occurred in different sectors, the country will be on its way to shared prosperity.
I am excited by the latest report from the National Bureau of Statistics that our economy grew in the third quarter more than last quarter and even beyond projected estimates. While I welcome this development, the latest figure also shows the much work that needs to be done.
We won’t rest until Nigerians feel the positive impacts in their pockets and experience a better living

PoliticsRe: Ibori To Sponsor Underprivileged Students In Delta by Babalegba(m): 12:42pm On Nov 20, 2024
Celestialsword:
Former Delta State Governor, Chief James Ibori has announced the establishment of the Otemu Educational Foundation, aimed at transforming the educational landscape for underprivileged students in Delta state.

In a statement he signed and posted on his official social media pages, Ibori said the foundation will locate and sponsor brilliant students in Delta who cannot afford to pay their school fees.

“It is with great pride and a profound sense of purpose that I introduce the Otemu Educational Foundation (OEF). This initiative was born from a deep-seated belief in the transformative power of education and a commitment to uplift the indigent, yet incredibly talented youth of Delta State, Nigeria.”

Ibori, in his statement, highlighted the role education plays in breaking the cycle of poverty.

“Our foundation is committed to providing scholarships and resources to talented students who would otherwise lack the financial means to pursue their academic dreams,” he said.“By investing in these bright young minds, we are not only fostering individual growth but also empowering future leaders who will drive positive change in their communities and beyond.”

A dedicated web portal will be launched soon for the pre-selection process of the beneficiaries.

“Our goal is to create an environment where every student, regardless of socio-economic background, has access to quality education and the resources needed to succeed. With the support of our communities, partners and donors, we are confident that the Otemu Educational Foundation will make a significant impact, creating a brighter and more equitable future for all,” he added.
