An 18-year-old 100 level student of the Department of History and International Studies, University of Calabar, Veronica Bako Myomuter, has committed suicide. She was alleged to have been scammed the sum of N100,000 meant for her school fees which she couldn’t pay before the outbreak of Covid-19

The deceased who hailed from Katsina Ala in Benue State, was said to have ingested a poisonous substance, said to be rodents killer, Sniper, on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at her home in Katsina Ala.

HOW TO INVOKE THE HEALING ANOINTING UPON YOUR LIFE

Acts 10:38

[38]How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

We know Jesus was famous for healing the sick (Matthew 4:24[1]) and that He also sent out His disciples to heal the sick (Mark 6:13[2]). But it didn't stop there; Jesus' plan was that all Christians would continue doing and speaking as He did (John 14:12[3]). In the book of Acts we read that this is exactly what they did (Acts 5:16[4]) and this means that you too can go out and imitate Jesus preaching the gospel and healing the sick (1 Corinthians 11:1[5]).

And Jesus said, "Nothing shall be impossible for you", for when a believer is empowered by the Holy Spirit (Luke 24:49[6]) and is seeking to walk as Jesus walked it becomes easy because God takes so much of your load (Matthew 11:30[7]) And He (Jesus) sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick (Luke 9:2).

Consider Jesus' mission. He came to save the lost by showing people they needed to believe in Him. Healing was one of the methods he used to show people that He had come from God, so that they should listen to Him, believe and do what He said to do.

Nicodemus: "We all know that God has sent you to teach us. Your miraculous signs are evidence that God is with you." John 3:2

Others: And many of the people believed on him, and said, 'When Christ cometh, will he do more miracles than these which this man hath done?' John 7:31

Jesus Himself said, But if I do his work, believe in the evidence of the miraculous works I have done, even if you don't believe me. Then you will know and understand that the Father is in me, and I am in the Father John 10:38

Our mission is the same as Jesus said, as we do the works that we have been sent to do: Heal the sick and preach the gospel Matthew 10:7-8 -- [8] then people will believe that we have the information that they need to begin a relationship with God.

The following are the ways you can work in the strength of divine healing:

1. Begin to study the scriptures of how to do as Jesus did. And, as you begin to walk in the miraculous, you will see people instantly healed by the power of God when you pray for them, and then your life will change in the most amazing and exciting way. Here are details to increase your likelihood of success. So, overtime, look up all the associated scriptures, but you do not have to know every related scripture to begin following Christ's example.

2. Prepare yourself.

This is very important and can't be missed. The Bible says The preparations of the heart (your inner being) belong to man, but the answer of the tongue (the Gospel) is from the Lord (Proverbs 16:1).

3. Make sure you have received God's power.

Receive empowerment by receiving the promise of the Father which is the baptism of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:4-5[9]). When you are baptised in the Holy Spirit you will receive power from God (Acts 1:8[10]). This will open up to you the power to be a witness and to do all the miraculous works of the Spirit, including speaking in tongues (Acts 2:4[11]) -- and so open the ability to lay hands on the sick and see them recover by the power of God (Mark 16:17-20[12]).

WALKING IN THE SPIRIT IS ANOTHER DIMENSION OF RELATIONSHIP WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT, IF ANY MAN MUST GO FAR WITH GOD THE PLACE OF SPIRITUAL WALK (FELLOWSHIP) IS INEVITABLE.
WAYS TO WALK IN THE SPIRIT

However, many people find it hard to walk in the spirit because of lack of understanding of the ways of the holy spirit. It is a mean of living the life of Christ on earth, it is a mean of constant spiritual exercise and consciousness

Walking in the Spirit is a decision that’s personal, yet, beyond man’s conclusion and comprehension. Life in the Spirit is a journey that has no assigned limit, as long the soul lives. However, if life in the Spirit is a journey, then who are those to tread it?

Without an attempt to hold the air in our hands, those who are to tread this journey are the believers. The question now is How?

Let us discuss the person of the Spirit, the life in the Spirit, and how to walk in the Spirit. Painfully, the works of the Spirit are limited by our misconceptions and worldly focus.

The Person of the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is a divine person (the last person of the Trinity). He is worthy to receive adoration, love, and faith. If we do not think of the Holy Spirit as a person, then we would continually be limited by his power and divinity, our thoughts would be like Simon’s, who jealously wanted to buy the Holy Spirit, thinking He's an impersonal thing that could be bought.

Act 8:18-20. And when Simon saw that through laying on of the Apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, 19 Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.20. But Peter said unto him, thy money perish with thee because thou hast thought that gift of God may be purchased with money. (KJV)

I wish we understand what Simon saw before concluding on purchasing the Spirit, because nobody would purchase ordinary laying on of hands without essence and gain, actually nobody will. He saw them speaking in tongues and casting away evil spirits, (according to Acts 2:4, 10:44-48) i.e. he saw them manifesting the power within the Name/Personality. From the passage above, it can be unambiguously concluded that the Holy Spirit Is Divine; a gift that can’t be purchased like our lifeless needs and desires. It is a gift that can be acquired through proper repentance, meaning God alone could remedy this situation, and He always will upon proper repentance, which says He (God) is right and I am wrong. It’d be great to affirm this before leaving that for another time, that “God has nothing for sale; everything He has is a “Gift” even His Son [Jn 3:16, Luke 11:13, Eph. 1:13]

John 3:16. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Luke 11:13. If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? [KJV]

If we continually think that that the person of the Holy Spirit is an impersonal power or influence, we’ll constantly think of a way to get hold of the power and use the Holy Spirit, but if we recognize Him as a divine Person who is tender, lovely, peaceful, wise and unlimited in any realm, our

Let me first and foremost thank you for your prayers, solidarity, calls, messages and goodwill during the period of my isolation and treatment for COVID-19. I thank God that I am now certified free of the virus after 10 days of isolation and treatment during which I took two separate tests which eventually came back negative. I deeply appreciate your concerns and prayers during this trying time.

2. The fact I could contract the virus in spite of the conscious effort to protect myself and people around me underscores my consistent warnings that we should never take things for granted. It also proves that indeed the virus is real and here, and that, it is a respecter of no persons. That is why I have always maintained that we cannot be vigilant enough until we have collectively come to the end of this pandemic. I therefore implore you, dear compatriots, to take extra measures to ensure that you keep yourself safe.

Lagos churches, mosques reopen Friday, bars, clubs stay closed –Sanwo-Olu

The Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, says worship centres in the state will be allowed to reopen from Friday, August 7.

He said Muslim worshippers are allowed to begin their services from Friday while Christian worshippers could begin their Sunday services on August 9, noting that the permission applies to Churches that have their main worship days on Saturdays.

He, however, warned that the religious centres would only be allowed to operate at 50 per cent of their capacity, noting that the safety protocols released by the government must be strictly adhered to.


Worship centres in the state have been shut since March as part of measures to contain the spread of COVID-19.....
In June after the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 approved the reopening of worship centres, the state government on June 4 asked mosques to reopen from June 19, and churches from June 21.

But, at a press briefing on June 16, the governor canceled the plan due to increasing COVID-19 cases.

He was also a man of courage, but he was a leper. The Arameans (Syrians) had gone out in bands [as raiders] and had taken captive a little girl from the land of Israel; and she waited on Naaman’s wife [as a servant]. EXPOSITION

When Naaman, an honourable but leprous mighty man of valour and the Syrian army general, visited Prophet Elijah for healing from the deadliest disease of his time, leprosy, He was told to go and wash himself in river Jordan and be healed. It took the intervention of his servants to convince him to obey the prophet's instruction because it didn't add up to him. His obedience made him clean.

For all forms of illness and diseases, including hepatitis (even as we pray for those suffering from it on this year's World Hepatitis Day that God should heal them totally), we need to wash in the saving and healing blood of the Lamb - Christ Jesus, and not in any river, anymore. The blood makes all things....

Open Heaven 27 July 2020 Monday MESSAGE:
“Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide with thee all night until the morning.” – Leviticus 19:13
My God does not use people and dump them. If you work for Him faithfully, you are sure to get a very handsome reward for your efforts. In the above passage, He said that we should never allow any labourer’s wage stay in our hands overnight. If He said this, how then would He not reward you when you labour for Him?
Now, what is the work God wants us to do? In Luke 10:2 He said “The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: ” The harvest He was talking about is the souls that need to be won to Christ. He needs labourers to go out and win souls. He needs soul-winners. When you win a soul, you make Him happy, but more than that, you secure more benefits for yourself too. In the parable of talents in Matthew 25:21, the Master did not take the extra talents from the servant that multiplied theirs: He left it with them as their reward. Even the one talent that the unprofitable servant did not multiply was....

The above question had been my bone of contention since all this while.
What can i do please? : Why are most of our ladies afraid of marrying ministers of God?

For every beautiful and blossom minister, there is always a virtuous woman behind, for every minister that will overcome the ministerial battle, the place of a good woman is inevitable but why are most of our ladies afraid of marrying ministers of God?
When will i locate the right partner that will help my ministry now?
Now that i am suffering rejection from virtually many sisters that comes to my part have i made a mistake by answering the call of God?

Is there any crime to be called God's servant? Somebody help!

Indeed i know it isn't easy for a man to leave his life desire for the calling of God, but i'm so persuaded that there is no man that can answer to the true calling of God without divine provision. Most times, i do afraid to be called as God's servant due to several attacks, rejections and confrontation that usually accompany the place of ministry, nevertheless i do encourage myself that since it God that called me i will surely overcome.

However, I have come to discover that virtually not all our ladies really desire to marry a minister of God as life partner in marriage but I have not really gotten the right answer regarding their reasons for such intention.

II. TRINITY: BIBLICAL CONFIRMATION OF THE UNITY (Genesis 1-3,11; John 1:1; 3:16; Hebrews 9:14; 1 Peter 1:2)

There is nowhere else you can go to understand or explain Trinity than in the Bible. What the Bible reveals on the Persons of the Godhead, their function and position (office) is adequate for our present knowledge. We shall understand Him better, by and by, especially, when we get to see Him, face to face in heaven. Don't be too knowledgeable than, or try to out-study the Bible, and don't seek other meaning from sources other than the Bible.

A. THE BIBLICAL EXPLANATION (Gen. 1-3, 11; Jn. 1:1; Pet. 1:2).

Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied (1 Pet. 1:2).

i. In the Scripture, 3 Persons were observed as ONE GOD: God the Father (John 6:27), the Son, Jesus Christ (Jn. 1:1, 18; Ti. 2:13, and the Holy Spirit (Acts 5:3-4; Eph. 4:30).

ii. At Creation, the Trinity was seen at work. The Holy Spirit moved upon the surface of the deep, the Father spoke, and Jesus is the Word spoken and who brought everything to reality (Gen. 1:2-3; Prov. 8:22-31; Jn. 1:1-3; Col. 1:16).

BETRAYAL OF TRUST. By Gbile Akanni

It is a betrayal of trust for me to allow Thy gifts to sever me from Thee, my LORD, Who gives me all.

It is a betrayal of trust for me to make a name for myself out of the revelations You gave me in mercy and specifically for Thy Body. A thing I never laboured for; how can I claim credit for it, if not with a serious spirit of error, betraying the trust I hold of Thee?

It is a betrayal of trust for me to carve out a line of loyalists behind me, out of men You graciously led to me, for their portion of meat which You kept in my care.

It is a betrayal of trust for me to covet and camp on the popularity that ensues from the manifestation of Thy anointing upon my life, which anointing was freely given for the benefit and edification of Thy church.

It is a betrayal of trust for me to abandon the place of prayer where You opened doors for me to serve Your people, in pursuit of open doors, majoring on moving here and there, fussing up and down as a professional preacher who always has something to say whether or not God is speaking.....

The act of ponography may be difficult to cub in the absence of no rebuke,corrections and necessary action, it is a contention of the mind, it has the power to subject its victim into the bondage of masturbation and sexual addiction since it is an action that come as a result of exposure to sexual display and actions consciously or unconsciously. Pornography can be defined as the explicit literary or visual depiction of sexual subject matter; any display of material of an erotic nature.

However, I have come to this understanding that it is not as though our fathers and mothers have not taught us about sexual affairs at all, it is just that the truth of the matter were not told. Most of the knowledge passed across by parents to many children were only the negative results that are likely to materialize when the law is digressed or when they fail to abide by the law of sexual abstinence.
Many tenagers belief that just a mere touch to the opposite sex alone could result to pregnancy, some parents have even placed a barn upon their children not to work with partners of opposite sex again all in the name of sexual purity, some even carry the notions that having a neutral relationship with any female personality is very dangerous to their destiny whereas, most children later got to understand the reality and prove their parents wrong.

Whenever parents fail in their assignment, every children have the 80% tendency of getting exposed to sexual affairs through companions and friendship whether it's true or false. Every parent must see the need for proper training of their children on sexual education. Most or little knowledge acquired by youngstar came as a results of peer pressure. Parental guide is inevitable in the life of a child, children that turn out to be sexually addicted or molested mostly emerge from a family without the traces of little or no sexual education.

Below are the parental guides against ponorgraphy in the lives of their children;

1. Parents should teach their children to caution and control their senses.E.g, sense of sight, tongue, ear, skin, during the period of tests and temptations.

2. Parent should guide their children on what to do during the adolescent stage; adolescent stage required a serious attention from both parent either by counseling them or telling their own experience.

3. Parent should be free with their children ; play with them, teach them, advise them and pray with them. This acts will imbibe freedom ( children will be free to their parents) it's will make them to have confidence in their parent and not able to hide anything from them.

4. Parent must be aware of what their children are doing with their cell phone, computer etc.
Teach them how to manage their phone and their feelings. Parent should educate them to use technology for their own benefits and not for watching pornography, node pictures, sex movies etc....

Just after I received my fee structure from My University for my PhD, totalling N850,000 in 2012, I met my Dad, at Cooperative bank in Kaduna.

I explained to him that I had the admission letter and he smiled. I told him however, "Baba, there is a problem. They need N850,000." He held my hands, then slowly but reassuringly, said, "Just Begin, my son."

To ensure his point went home, he got into his account and gave me N14,000 in an account that had N20,000. I was touched. I added N16000 and paid N30,000 into the account, and my journey to PhD began.

Today, having reached the dream, I remember the words of my father.
Just Begin....In everything you do, always remember, JUST BEGIN.

Just begin, no matter how difficult it seems to be and it appeared to be difficult, but as time lapsed, I realised dad was right.

Ruth 1:6-22 When Naomi heard in Moab that the Lord had come to the aid of his people by providing food for them, she and her daughters-in-law prepared to return home from there.
With her two daughters-in-law she left the place where she had been living and set out on the road that would take them back to the land of Judah.
Then Naomi said to her two daughters-in-law, “Go back, each of you, to your mother’s home. May the Lord show you kindness, as you have shown kindness to your dead husbands and to me.
May the Lord grant that each of you will find rest in the home of another husband.”
And said to her, “We will go back with you to your people.”
But Naomi said, “Return home, my daughters. Why would you come with me? Am I going to have any more sons, who could become your husbands?
Return home, my daughters; I am too old to have another husband. Even if I thought there was still hope for me—even if I had a husband tonight and then gave birth to sons—
would you wait until they grew up? Would you remain unmarried for them? No, my daughters. It is more bitter for me than for you, because the Lord’s hand has turned against me!”
At this they wept aloud again. Then Orpah kissed her mother-in-law goodbye, but Ruth clung to her.
“Look,” said Naomi, “your sister-in-law is going back to her people and her gods. Go back with her.”
But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God.
Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord deal with me, be it ever so severely, if even death separates you and me.”
When Naomi realized that Ruth was determined to go with her, she stopped urging her.
So the two women went on until they came to Bethlehem. When they arrived in Bethlehem, the whole town was stirred because of them, and the women exclaimed, “Can this be Naomi?”
“Don’t call me Naomi,” she told them. “Call me Mara, because the Almighty has made my life very bitter.
I went away full, but the Lord has brought me back empty. Why call me Naomi? The Lord has afflicted me; the Almighty has brought misfortune upon me.”
So Naomi returned from Moab accompanied by Ruth the Moabite, her daughter-in-law, arriving in Bethlehem as the barley harvest was beginning.

The matter of relationship is one of the most delicate and desperate journey in destiny because it is between to two imperfect entities, with different race, taste, choice, perceptions, thoughts, actions and reactions. Not all relationships must lead to marriage. Some relationships are for a reason, others are for a season, only few are for a life time. If it doesn’t work out, don’t kill yourself because it was for something. Discover the purpose and move on.

EXPOSITION

Life has four constants, which are time, birth, death and decision. However, we influence each of these variables. Decision is something somebody has chosen or makes up his or her mind about after considering alternatives. Also, it is the process of coming to a conclusion, or determination about something (Encarta dictionary of English language). Luke 15:11-32 discusses the life of a man who has two sons, whose names are not mentioned, but the younger is regarded as the prodigal son.Prodigal is a French word that has been adopted in English language. It means being wasteful, or extravagant. The prodigal son, who was the younger of the two sons, decided to have his own share of the yet-to-die father's wealth. Having bequeathed it to him, he went ahead to squander it. The decision he made determined and dictated what he eventually got.

You are the architect of your decision, but you aren't the master of the consequence. You have control over your choices but have no power over the consequences. You make the choice, and the choice automatically dictates the outcome. The young man, who was very rich, ended up in penury, to the extent of trying to share meal with pigs.

The love was simply so much, she visited me for a weekend and I took her to a program in a church where I was invited. The two Guest Speakers for the 1st and 2nd days were wonderful, we laughed and shouted fire and even sowed seeds of greatness. And I took my girlfriend back to my house.

But the guest speaker that came on the last day was the one that caused the whole program to turn sour for me. He did not wear any big shoe or expensive suit, his hair cut was even scattered unlike other guests, he did not have any escort or security but i noticed that the moment he climbed the pulpit, the atmosphere changed. He started singing this song: "Something more than gold. Something more than silver. The word of God in the heart of a believer, is more than gold" And within 5 minutes, I began to see something like a mist, like a thick cloud inside that auditorium. It was as if, millions of voices were singing that song at the same time. It was not long before I began to hear cries of men and women, boys and girls...: and yet, he had not opened the Bible. The church hall was tense you would wonder if this was the same church we had been coming to for the past 2 days. "Lord, help me", "Forgive me Jesus. " " Don't leave me this way" "Jesus, I need You back. " " Holy spirit, break me and use me.

"These and more were the deep cries I was hearing from people around where I was sitting...
The choristers who were backing up the songs were slain... Some of them did not know when they began to shout, through the microphone:" Lord, show me your mercy. "Some were shouting:" I need your revival, Lord... Will you leave me this way"? I was afraid to open my eyes... The Glory inside that house was too much... When i managed to open my eyes, I didn't see anybody standing... I was the only one on my feet... The pastor that hosted the program was on the floor, in front of the church, with his wife. The Assistant Pastors were with him in front of the church, crying. The Preacher was lying flat, crying on the altar... Nobody could know who was the Preacher and who was the speaker...As a Preacher's kid, born inside the church, I have seen revivals... I have seen the move of God's power... But, never in my life had I seen such manifest Presence of God...And for more than 1:45 minutes, people were rolling on the floor, crying their hearts out... Yet, the guest minister did not open the Bible... I was still standing, looking around for my girlfriend... But I could not find her...

When I went outside... I saw her, lying on the floor, flat, crying... As I tried to pull her up, thinking that something might have hurt her... I saw her blouse soaked with tears... Her voice was

Then Joshua blessed Caleb son of Jephunneh and gave him Hebron as his inheritance.
So Hebron has belonged to Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite ever since, because he followed the Lord, the God of Israel, wholeheartedly.
Hebron used to be called Kiriath Arba after Arba, who was the greatest man among the Anakites.) Then the land had rest from war.
