The movie was unnecessary.

It takes me like 2 days to watch any mission impossible movies. I started this current one yesterday. I have seen The Burial and Ijogbon in-between it and I'm still yet to finish.

Probably a 5/10 for me.
But I downloaded another Nigerian movie along with it and all I can say is KAP is far ahead.

Irrespective of the motive for the arrest. Sometimes, it's best to de-escalate situations like these. Follow them to the station, max they will waste your time and collect some change, after which you are free to go....
So u think Nigeria police we just collect some change from someone when they get to their station abi? Same police that believe someone have no single right once they get to their station, same police that will turn someone into a criminal once they get to their station and rip them off dried, is what u are saying they will just collect small change?

Shay police get drivers, what stops them from arresting the car and drive it to the station themself? Because they can't said they don't know what common Nigerians can do after all the oppression that they, the government and other force group have melted on common Nigerians over the years.

I no fit even allow make police carry me or any vehicle I dey go station. The arresting officers go just disappear for inside station with the car keys and documents. Them go con dey transfer you from one police man to another. If we no fit settle am for road, na there we go sleep and I go make sure say I obstruct traffic.

Deepthoughts:
If the police had arrested the driver n tried to take only his vehicle to the station,the driver would have caused so much drama instead of obedience and the public would have supported him just as they are doing here,I mean most times I wonder if we assume that things work well in other countries by magic, it's this very negative n lawless attitude we have imbibid so much here that gives Nigerians a bad name even in lesser African countries.

Things work in other countries because they have developed a culture of how to behave. Trusting their police officers and other government agencies to do the right thing.
I don't know too much information about the functions of the Nigerian police but I like to think traffic offense isn't one of them. I like to assume protection of lives and property is a major function of the police but it is the other way round for the Nigerian police. They make sure innocent lives are lost on a daily basis.
My final submission to you. Who is the offender? The driver or the vehicle?

I wonder how we reason in this country, something we would never try elsewhere,a police officer arrested you for traffic offense and is taking the vehicle to the station, instead of the driver to obey as a decent citizens and amicably sort things out at the station,the driver chooses to attempt driven the vehicle and the police officer to somewhere else!,now if you were the police officer what will come to your mind?,how is the police officer sure he was going to be safe afterwards? between the dragging of the steering n the commission of the traffic offense which occurred first n who should really be blamed please?, vehicle numbers are taken when n where the vehicle is fleeing but in this case the vehicle was already apprehended,to me the driver should be held completely responsible for everything,if we keep supporting individuals to break the laws n chooses to castigate the police in every situation,I bet you all we will all bear the brunt,yes the police may not be perfect just as neither of us is,but we need to be very objective in our views over issues if we really want our country to improve n get better.

In a state of absolute lawlessness, it is criminal to be law abiding. So you want to arrest someone for a traffic offense and you also trust the offender to drive you in his/her vehicle to your station willingly?

you think an average policeman knows the purpose of the number plate. Na only extortion full their head. May the Almighty protect our going out and coming in.
Whether na police man or lastma official and driver, they should all serve jail term for involuntary manslaughter.

I keep having this debate in my head about women been necessary or unnecessary evils a man has to cope with. Like how in Fargo season 1 and 2, reasonable and rational women would have made the outcomes a lot better.
And then I just finish season 7 episode 8 of Billions and I see yet another irrational woman making a request to her husband. The audacity....... I like how it turned out in the end sha.

I decided to start Fargo based on some recommendation and I am dumbfounded. What a series. I think I would skip season 4 with all the comments here

Police in this country... They will sha look for something to catch you. That's why most of them use expensive stuff as the source of extra revenue is questionable.

I was on delivery with my Tricycle rider 4 days ago, we were stopped and they asked for documents, it was provided complete. Then they asked where is rider's permit (which they know there is nothing like that over here) all because we can't give them #100 like others. Even a FRSC Marshall confirmed there is nothing like driver's license for tricycle but the officers want to extort us. Another police that understands how it is on street even confirmed to his colleagues that nothing like such for tricycle.

They took us to MTD section of the station where those ones brought out a driver's license that expired in 2010 as sample.

To cut story short, these people asked us to pay 10,000 or we go to court. But as I couldn't afford the time wasting, I had to give them 2,000. Meanwhile after giving the 2k the officer with our documents already left office, the next day, the officer we paid to said we should come back by 4pm that day... Up till now we have not gotten our papers back.

You for ask them to stop 10 other tricycle operators with license before proceeding to any office.
You will still need to pay to collect your documents that why people no longer move with original documents

We need to revolt in this Southern Nigeria. How come we never hear of police harassment or police brutality in the north. Always in the south. We would soon need to cage the police. What is good for the goose.....
