He was with same Tinubu for 8year in AD/AC as an errand boy. He wanted to be governor in 2007, but because he wasn't as qualified Fashola he left as an angry man to join one unknown party before he begged to join PDP. So if he's calling Tinubu successors puppets, he should be called an ex-puppet.

Obasanjo actually joined them out vindictiveness against Jonathan that he felt he installed and afterwards trashed him in the bin.

You can soothe yourself. Atiku has been on Visa/US ban since he left office on corruption charges. This was substantiated by Obasanjo at every opportunity since 2007 till late 2018, he even documented it in his memoir. US should have remained status quo.
