Can the wife of my Cousin be our Manitoba supporter for MPNP application? The husband who is my cousin, is unable to support us, as he's yet to get his PR card for some reasons.

Well, i have not entered airport in your shallow assumption. Nigerians are high fliers in most developed nations. I am not even in Nigeria, and have a second passport, so i passed through waters or deserts then to leave Nigeria. Most of you use outlier report to form stupid opinion. Even many Asylum seekers turn around their story in years, although i don't encourage seeking assylum. I repeat for most Nigerian graduates who leave legally and cut their coat according their size 20000usd is a paltry saving in a year. Keep following statistics that is predominantly not applicable to an average Nigerian graduate in US, UK, Canada, Germany e.t.c . The bulk of Nigerian immigrants are not assylum seekers.

Be happy with yourself if truly you are progressing in Nigeria. I pray you succeed anywhere you find yourself . Stop stressing and posting asylum seekers who passed through water or deserts, many of them will even be alright in a matter of years.

This is so true. Many follow statistics and use few cases where things go wrong to judge every Japa move.

Someone at this time and age truly believe Nigerian student don't have a way round the 20hrs restrictions during studies for instance.

I repeat, it will be hard to find anyone who migrated legally, follow the system, stay clean, and work hard, that will regret ever leaving Nigeria.

I just laugh when they mock those who resigned average jobs to Japa

Lol, there is someone squatting in my house rn, schooling in scotland.. if he can travel from scotland to Cardiff to find factory work, and you sit down there, claiming you can get jobs without skills in Scotland? My dear, wakeup.

OK there are no factory work in Scotland? Lolz
Plus as student, I have even if he's highly skilled, the 20hrs limit will reduce his chances.

Nah, the last statement is a fallacy, reality is different from expectations.

You can’t travel to Scotland with no-skills… naa hunger go kill the person.
You fit try am make you come back give testiomony.

People survive in Scotland with ZERO skills. You will eat, have a shelter and live a life relative to your capacity. What you wouldn't do is remain without skills.

I think the key thing is migrating legally.

If you migrate legally, this wouldn't happen. Stop posting pictures of asylum seekers to make a point.

What is $20k?? to typical hardworking Nigerians? 70% of Americans or EU may not save that because they don't have to. Only few ones are ambitious to save more, to make their family more comfortable in the future. The system is already designed to take care of everybody. Kids will go to free Unis and pay later. They will get mortgage once they start working, and so they won't be homeless, etc. So why should Oyinbo adults save $20k?? They'd rather blast it on holidays and travels! They even deliberately work less so no tax and government can support them.

Challenges are everywhere. But the odds differ joor

Some of the things you said makes sense. The only thing to add is that not everyone who complains about the noise and attitude of those who Japa are in Nigeria. Some are abroad themselves or have the means to japa. But find it annoying by the noise that some people who travels out made. Especially of putting down the country. Chinese, phillipines and Indians do migrate to other countries, but they don't project their frustrations on their country of origin like some Nigerians do.

Your last sentence is fallacious.

Indians, Pakistanis, Philipinos, Bangladesh, etc all complain too! They talk about bad leaders and economy. Anyone who lived in UAE and friends with them can confirm this.

Why won't Nigerians abroad complain? Almost everyone who you call to greet is telling hurrible stories and living in fear. Should they be in love with a system that sent them out in the cold to be second class citizens??
Travel / Re: Japa Propaganda And The Mindset Of The Nigerian Youths by babaoloola(m): 12:17am On Dec 30, 2022
What's the fear of these "big boys" who come here to discourage Nigerians from Japa sef?? I guess they are scared of losing skilled youths who they can use to maintain their lifestyles, businesses and empires!

What's happening in Nigeria now happened in India years ago. Communities and families will join hands to send their kids abroad. Today, Indians are everywhere: IT, Engr, Medicine, etc. They send unimagible funds back home according to their foreign secretary.

Even those who are doing well financially aren't safe in Naija. Many have had to pay 20m+ as ransome to rescue their loved ones. Its police that will even facilitate how to pay it secretly. You can't even change car anyhow, as clean nice cars are often targets for robbers on express.

Someone bragging about his drivers who make N400k monthly, and with all the hussle and risks o. 400k that long Vehicle drivers make abroad weekly after tax.

Not all Nigerians abroad are doing cleaning jobs! And it's not even a crime if its what you have to do before you find your feet. Oyinbos do cleaning jobs too. They will even go back to school to upskill, and be better cleaners. Theres dignity of labour.

Nigeria belongs to all Nigerians. Those abroad have the right to call out and criticise their leaders. Let's stop pretending that we are more patriotic than those abroad. You can be in Nigeria and be pest or completely uselex to the system.

I am not aware of any airline that would take a child below 10years unaccompanied but you do some research online.
As Nigeria has joined the restricted list for child Adoption since March 2021 due to human trafficking and document falsification, anything that concerns a child is double scrutinised and nearly impossible, especially if they are alone.

I hope this helps.

Yes it helps.

If he is tagged as an unaccompanied minor by the airline, no immigration will touch him. He will be handled only by the officials of the airline, he will not wait in a queue, he will be fed, he will be at the top of every queue and escorted through border control by an airline staff. He will wear a noticeable identification tag on his neck. If there is a stop over he will be ket at the business lounge or first class lounge.
If they need to get on a shuttle bus before getting on d plane, the staff will put him at the top of the queue and escort him through all this.
He will also be handed over to the captain.
The part I dnt know is if he can sit by himself on the plane, you know your child better.
Finally when he lands in uk, an airline staff will get him off the plane and get him through immigration and will only hand him over to you or any other named individual that was filled on his form at his departure from Nigeria.
Very seem less.
You just need to ring the airline and confirm with them by written evidence that they offer this service before purchasing the ticket.

Different airlines accept different ages, some 12 and above. U need to find out their age cut off

This is interesting! Thanks for taking your time to explain. I'm calling some airlines asap!

Please will the Visa application have to state this - that he's coming unaccompanied?? Im just about to apply for the visa. Thanks you so much

??

There are 4 nations in the UK. Cost of living varies.
Some Saudi boys are in school and driving Jaguars. Some students are working desperately and illegally and sometimes futilely to fund the balance of their school fees.
So being a "student" has no one-size-fits all cost.

Apologises for my late response.

N.B: These universities are based on people’s experience, not mine. I do not intend to study again in the U.K. and have not personally pursued anymore applications.

Here are some schools I know of..
Hertfordshire University
Salford University
Sheffield Hallam Uni
Northampton Uni
Oxford Brookes Uni
Ulster Uni
Bournemouth Uni
Birmingham City Uni
Roehampton Uni
London Metropolitan Uni

Again these are just based on what I know from people’s experience when I was in U.K. WhatsApp groups. It may have changed now, so I stand to be corrected.

Nevertheless, I hope this helps.
All the best smiley

I think Nigerians should not leave the responsibility &challenges poised by this pandamic to the govt alone, we are in this together. We all have roles& parts to play. As govt is rolling our stimulus package while trying to revive the economy,Nigerians should play their roles too

It is your likes and the Government that have roles to play, not all of us.

We are where we are because some guys have refused to put up a system that will check corruption, and you saying citizens should keep "playing roles" Can you confidently report a case to the Police in Nigeria? Do you know how long pentioners wait to receive their gratuities? etc

Not inspiring...period!

Nigerian youths don't need motivation Sir. Go to countries where basic opportunities are given to Nigerians worldwide... They simply FLY and do great things!! And im not even talking USA, Canada or UK. Check Kenya, Ghana, SA, etc.

Create enabling environment, that's all. We all don't have to be geniuses to make a living...
