[quote author=ModestGal post=90957810]Not at all, religion does not promote poverty, our people do. We have Christian Nations thriving as well as Muslim Nations, and likewise Atheist.
I believe the problem is the people who took the religions in a foolish way to obstruct their critical /creative thinking. I don't see any difference between the impact of traditional religions and Christianity/Islam, because the people are thesame, they all preferred the Mythologies of the religions to prosper in their lives more than others in it. Just like I have said, religion is never the cause but the people, we have Religious Nations that are thriving, so I believe its not a barrier[/quote
I clearly indicated African religion is a cause of poverty that is the way Africans practice these religions promotes poverty] |

fairfora: ....as if other african counties still respect us as they used to...mtcheew!. Go to the social media platforms and see the way youths from other countries berate us. You'd leave that place crying if your emotion is weak. Nigeria isn't a country to be reckoned with anymore, with all the vices that are already a commonplace today. They read news about Nigeria daily more than Nigerians do. They see the way our government are treating us. The way human throats and heads are being slashed. The way our govt handle insecurity and corruption. They've seen us all. What do you expect? Our government closed borders thinking the porosity is the cause of proliferation of munitions in Nigeria whereas, they still import them on a regular basis. Boko haram have strong membership in the police, military, customs, immigration, etc. Otherwise Wadume wouldn't be spared and the police officers killed, only for the military to take him to their barracks and break his cuffs and then ask him to go. Police have released boko haram several times and have either deceived us they fled their custody or released by their members who stormed their barracks. Once they get information that their shipment containing munitions is coming or has arrived, there would be sudden deployment of personnel from the sea port through to the war zone to ensure smooth clearance and transport of their containers. Their members would replace the normal ones overnight. As soon as things are perfected, they'd return the personnel back to their various posts.
These people aren't ghosts. They're leaders in politics and very powerful. Only revolution would sweep them off our land . Unfortunately, mr president isn't seeing all these. He's too weak to be there. His state too isn't safe anymore. He has succeeded in surrounding himself with traitors, those he claims he trusts and loves so much and that's what happens when you give nepotism and tribalism a chance as a leader and that's why he's always in shock and he would always be, unless he changes those people working with him You they get headache for wetin no concern you, forget about the killings in the north that doesnt define nigeria |

You should also know that South African slums are also teeming with Zimbabweans, Mozamnicans, Malawians, Pakistanis etc i dont dispute that,my personal view is that south africa is way better and richer than Nigeria. But its the truth those in makoko are togolese and beninoise though that have been there for a long time, most of them now have been born there,so they are effectively nigerians but withh togolese and beninoise roots |
