Abi NL no get DJ ni, please play me Flavour song "Igbo 'Amaka" "Everywhere I go they call me onyè Igbo, Igbo Amaka" Lol, I can see haters strolling in one after the other. Abeg, this no be gloating o, I just remembered how some sophisticated politician threatened to throw igbos into lagoon for contesting in their supposedly developed part of Nigeria. Thank God we don't have such "sophisticated" people in UK. |
AtheistD:@Umunna would be the first black UK prime minister in the history of UK. |
RIP Sly, great man gone too soon. We'll miss you. |
DaBullIT:He is a Nigerian, that is all we can see here. |
In my opinion I think Fashola did well but deserves to rest after 8 years in office, but if he says he is ok to go, the. He deserves a chance. Talking about Fayemi, I don't know much about his achievements in Ekiti state. Why did he lose to Fayose? Maybe that might give an insight. |
The bottom line here is that we are all one, brothers and sisters, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, Efik, Tiv, etc we are all one. That is most important. One people, one nation, one love. Stop the hate and killings. Let's. Love our nation forward. Live and prosper anywhere you are, explore, discover and show love always. Period. |
riddler4real:I don't think the writer said "Oduduwa" was from the SE. |
lifestyle1:Please ask the mods. NL don turn trash I swear. The kind of headline I read sometimes make me wanna question Seun. |
Please someone should swim from River state to Abuja na. |
stranger003:Hehehehehe, the APC you see today is 70% PDP. |
rexbuton:Come 2019, power will still remain in the north but maybe under PDP, no one knows yet. Let's wait and see, God keeping us alive. |
Ayus34:Everyone played all manner of cards for this election. The fact is that even if GEJ had performed, they will still vote him out. |
Please read this and tell me the presidential election was about competence. Source: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/05/we-in-the-north-will-take-over-from-jonathan-farouk-aliyu/ We in the north will take over from Jonathan – Farouk Aliyu on may 15, 2013 at 8:00 am in news Facebook Share Twitter Share By Soni Daniel, Regional Editor, North The face-off between the North and Niger Delta campaigners for Jonathan’s re_election in 2015, deepened yesterday with a former member of the House of Representatives, Farouk Adamu Aliyu, boasting that the north would remove the President through their enormous voting strength and not through the barrels of the gun. There has been a wide gulf between ex-militants and northern groups over the re_election of President Jonathan in 2015 although he has not yet declared interest in the said election, claiming to be engrossed in the development of the country for now. While the former fighters have threatened to make the country ungovernable if Jonathan is not returned in 2015, the north has stated that they will not support him for jettisoning the zoning arrangement, which would have retained power in the region after he might have served out the remaining term of the late President Umaru Yar’Adua. Addressing a news conference in Abuja, Aliyu, a former minority leader in the House of Representatives, expressed regret that Jonathan had allowed his kinsmen to insult and intimidate the rest of Nigerians because of his re_election bid. Describing himself as one of those who fought for Jonathan’s Presidency with the Save Nigeria Group, the Jigawa State politician wondered where the likes Asari Dokubo and his cohorts were when opposition mounted against the President’s inauguration as acting president. In the conference text entitled, “Ungrateful President and his people”, Aliyu chronicled the different selfish actions and utterances by Jonathan since taking over the mantle of Nigeria’s leadership to show that he was more interested in the welfare of the Ijaw than other Nigerians. Angered by the actions of the President, the northern politician pointed out that unlike in 2011 when the people of the area rejected their own and voted massively for Jonathan, they would reject him at the poll in 2015 to teach him a lesson that a Nigerian leader should not be sectional or tribalistic in the administration of the nation. “We in the north will take over from Jonathan through the ballot box and not through the barrels of the gun as some elements threatened recently. By the grace of God, we shall take over from him,” Aliyu boasted. “We call on President Jonathan to dissociate himself from those who are beating the drums of war and to call them to order so as not to truncate the democratic governance in Nigeria, which all Nigerians fought for. “We know that it is only the President of a country that can boast that nobody can arrest him and nothing happens. But now, some people are threatening the law enforcement agencies and the National Assembly to dare arrest them and see what they will do without the President saying anything. “As at today, we are all Nigerians and the President has the responsibility to treat us as Nigerians. But we are worried that he has kept mute over those planning genocide, hatred and destruction of lives and property because of their selfish interest. Reminded that Chief Edwin Clark had corrected the impression created by Dokubo’s statement that there would be war if Jonathan loses in 2015, Aliyu flayed up, describing the Ijaw leader as one of the problems of Nigeria. According to him, Clark has not done as much as he has been doing to bring about peace and unity in Nigeria. Turning to the threat by militants that they would stop their oil resources from flowing to all parts of Nigeria in the event that Jonathan loses out in 2015, Aliyu stated that the oil resources of Nigeria belonged to all Nigerians and not an exclusive preserve of the Jiaw or any ethnic group. He said, “We in the north believe that the oil in Bayelsa or Delta belong to us in Jigawa or any other state in the north. We shall therefore do anything humanly possible to defend that our oil in Bayelsa or anywhere else in this country. |
Ayus34:The northerners played the "infidel"/religious card first. It was all a tool to get power back. |
I watched Gov. kwakwanso deliver a key note address during the 2015 matriculation ceremony of the NorthWest University in Kano before the presidential elections, mid way in his speech which he started in English, he switched to complete Hausa language and spoke for good 45 minutes or more. It was on AIT and I stayed on the Chanel to see if he will revert back to English in his speech but he never did. Then I asked my self, are all the matriculating student Hausa? Or do they all speak and understand Hausa that will warrant Gov. Kwakwanso to speak in Hausa for over 45 minutes. I can imagine Gov. Apkabio or Fahola switch to ibibio or Yoruba while speaking to matric student either in Uyo or LASU. The position if the poster/OP is valid and I hav no doubt in my mind that the north actually worked against GEJ, end of. |
modath:Please stop spreading deceit, if you are still deceiving yourself about one NIGERIA I pity you, we are only managing it because it's not time yet, when it is time you will know. About the topic, I will say you are a child when it comes to Nigerian politics. We inadvertently played out the script that led to civil war but God in HIS infinite mercy saved Nigeria from that disaster. You talk about SE supporting GEJ, they did because SE saw the grand conspiracy before between SW and North hand and decided that they must stand by GEJ. By all standard in Nigeria, GEJ did well compared to the rest, he did his best the truth be told. We know serious federal infrastructure he started and even concluded most in the north, yet what did he get? He got abused, stoned and rejected, same in most part of SW that are largely dominated by Muslims. Go look at the demographs, it's very clear. So when you comment on issues like this make sure you are competent about the info you reel out here. The bottom line was clear, it was total conspiracy against GEJ and one day Karma shall come asking for her coins. #payback. We are watching. |
mulattoclaro:Your comment is most unfortunate in a social media calling for the killing of a tribe is most barbaric and irresponsible of you. Your mother should have aborted you if she knew you'll grow up to write this kind of trash in future. Anyway, since you wish the Igbos could be deported to South Africa so they could be killed, I don't think it would be a bad idea if we get the Canadian government to deport you an strip you of all privileges. How about that bro. |
the OP said he is "crossing the road like an ordinary citizen", but his bank account is not "ordinary o", don't be deceived. Even Dangote fit cross road like an ordinary cititzen. Lol. |
This one go tire @Atiku o. |
Welrez:Shut up and face your front. Even if they all hate him, is that why he should ignore them in the appointment? Please wake up, it is you that chronically hate him and your hate for GEJ has no cure until it takes you. GEJ is a simply man and you can't take that away from him. I know some presidents who will still use this to fight perceived enemies. |
abduljabbar4:Even if you deceive yourself, you can't deceive others. Who told you this election was based on competence? Where and how did the equation of "competence come to play? Maybe for the very few educated ones in the electorate most of whom did not even bother to come out and vote, but for those in the north, it has always being an agenda to return power to the north. The opium was high and fully driven by the northern elites, for an average northerner in those states where Buhari had always won the election, it has always being cor "returning power to the north". Talking about north central, they are on an impatient experimental journey with APC, I hope they are not disappointed. So don't get things mixed up here, I can guarantee that even if Buhari did not perform or even failed woefully, I can bet my car for it, you can vote him out unless there is a Political understanding to let power slip out of their hands to return at a later date. If PDP fields a northern candidate and a SE Vice President, believe me APC will be done and dusted. Politics is largely all about political interest and not exactly about competence. With a strong internal packaging a weak president can still be made to perform by his party ideologies and resolve to uphold it in moving and developing a nation. |
Nigeria is a fraud. We need to know how. Any we truly are in this. Iberia through a credible census. So far so good, all census aimed at exposing the fraud in the north has always been met with stiff opposition by the northerners. God is watching. This is one of the reasons why they could go to the polls with under aged voters and the world kept mute. |
tempex88:Exactly my thought, transition is transition whether it is smooth or not. Come May 29, every document and power will be handed over, period. We still have a government in place and they will perform their governmental functions until after May 29, even the hand over ceremony is a government function. APC should get this and call Mr. Mohammed to order. |
Who ever posted this topic should be flogged. Where did he question the result in the item you posted? I think one of our major problem ur reading and understanding an article before giving it a title. Mtcheeeeew. |
I hope Buhari will sell 8 presidential jets and use only 2, I heard Sanusi terribly abused GEJ of buying 10 president jets. We are waiting to see how his brother deals with these jets. |
disumusa:You need 100KG of brain cells bro. Kudos. |
I smell lies here. |
FirstNigerian:This is the only sensible response I've read on this topic, I don't know if others really understand the real political game of chess. Thumbs up bro for your analysis. |
whitecat1:And what do you think Yorubas will do to the Igbos? Don't pray for what you can't handle bro. Goodluck in your hateful endeavor. |
shachris03:Pls give reference, we are here to learn. |
