Politics › Re: Supporters Protest APC Lawmakers Fresh Plot To Impeach Fayose. by babestella: 8:45pm On Apr 17, 2015
oluwafestus:
The truth is that fayose problem started with his illegalities. Eg 7 pdp members impeaching the speaker of the house and other APC members, 7 pdp legislators approving the state budget for the year, his death wish of GMB etc. He should remember the saying that wat goes round comes round. His own turn to feel the heat.
I have a question for you; where were those 19 lawmakers when 7 impeached the speaker mr. Omirin.?

fyna:
Why is fayose afraid to respond to the allegations made by the lawmakers? If he nows he did not commit the offence why all the noise.
He forgot when he was wishing somebody death, now is his turn. God is going to impeach him without the lawmakers go to far. End of the road
In a legislative house where 19 legislators all from one party (APC) are seeking to impeach a governor?, I see it as revengeful and a vendetta. It is sinister. I think it'll be fair if there are at least 2 PDP members in the mix.

folahann:
This is not about PDP or APC ruling the state. It is about Fayose's lawlessness and his reign of Impunity. How can you victimise opposition lawmakers and use 7 out of 26 to pass bills and confirm appointments.
It is not done, up till now, those 19 lawmakers have not received their salaries since October.
As far as I know the situation in Ekiti, those 19 lawmakers left Ekiti the week Fayose was sworn in s the governor of the state. They were camped in Lagos holding several meetings with tinubu and APC party chieftains apparently to stall legislative functions in Ekiti and paralyze government functions. A sane lawmaker will not abandon his duty post to come sit in Lagos with tinubu. That is why the issue of 7 greater than 19 comes to play. Literally 7 is not greater than 19, but when you have rebellious and revengeful lawmakers including the speaker (Mr. Omirin) abandoning their allegiance to their state (Ekiti), run to Lagos and taking orders from Tinubu, the state has to move on, government cannot wait for them and they cannot hold Ekiti to ransome, hence the 7 is greater than 19 equation. As we all have seen, they all only came back when Buhari/APC won presidential elections. Let the truth be told, those lawmakers are messed up and they are all acting on the instructions of Tinubu and OBJ, but I'm sure they will meet their match in the resolve of Ekiti people to defend their governor.

If all states voted for one party where will the opposition come from to checkmate the ruling party. This is democracy guys and the writer has his reasons to air his opinion.

NNPC should be scrapped, oil subsidy should removed. All refineries competitively sold off. This will end corruption in the oil sector. Anyone who wants to build a refinery can do so privately and then run it efficiently, effectively and profitabilit too.

And for those supporting & seeking Fayose's impeachment, may your enemies not pursue you the way APC is pursuing Fayose o.

Come to think of this, doesn't buhari have his own mouth? Why can't this info come directly from buhari? Why would people come to media and tell us buhari will do this buhari will do that and tomorrow buhari will come out and say he don't say anything. Please this kind of propaganda must stop. It's time for serious business, let buhari speak for himself.

Politics › Re: I Can't Promise My Government Will Find Missing Chibok Girls - Buhari by babestella: 10:19am On Apr 14, 2015
I remember buhari saying "his government will so very thing human possible to bring back our girls no matter where they are even if they have been married off or sold" during his campaign. That statement still resonates with me and I think once he is sworn in, it now becomes his responsibility to bring back our girls and end boko haram. No excuse will be tolerated. Because of these two issues GEJ took the kind I insults even an Obama will never take, so buhari has to bring back our girls.

Hehehehe, APC didn't scam the north, rather OBJ scammed the south west into returning power to the North, and they used the 'change' mantra to deceive gullible SW into voting for buhari the self 'acclaimed saint'.

And that is the bane of their BACKWARDNESS ,'hatred for others 'from all indications :IGBOS could no longer be regarded as one of the 3 Major Ethnic Groups, because ,they are not better than other minority groups like Ijaws and Itsekiris both in Population and developments.
What do you know about the Igbos? The Igbos are simply not interested in the conspiratorial politics recently played out by the Yoruba and Hausa against the only chance Niger delta has to rule this nation for their own 8 years. The picture was clearly on the wall, it was all arranged to return power to the north and thereafter 8 years the SW takes over. The Igbos know it and they don't want to be involved, that is why they stayed on their own. It's obvious by your write up that you don't know nothing about the structure of Nigeria and how dearly we need a political stability. Niger is waiting for the next election and I can bet you, SW will not see the support of ND and SE. Wait and see, may God keep us alive.

Have you tried buying land in Igbo land and anyone refused to sell? But in some part of Lagos people don't sell their lands, so you go and try and if you are refused come to me and I will sell you a land in Umuahia. No omonile will disburb you because we do not have such there.

Igbos are never afraid of anything, they are only asking for peace ahead of your tribal stew.pidity because you are not different from almajiris in the north. But if you think you don't like peace then start it and let's see who is afraid or not. Seems like tribalism has blinded you such that your sense of reasoning has evaporated with bigotry.

This is the sad transition igbos have gradually forged us to take because of the impunity of many towards the yorubas, our land and culture.... That welcoming accomodating host nonesense has to be re-evaluated to preserve our identity as they preserve theirs every where in the east....... babestella: stop ranting like a baby. The courts were not wrong in their judgement. Same could have happened if the military were deployed. You should be aware of developments up north. I mean the unending boko haram saga. You should rather blame it on our leaders in sheep's clothing. It shows our leaders don't the essence of leadership.the blood of an electorate is not worth any candidates ambition. Don't cast aspersion on supporters. Go and read and study what the electoral law states. Don't overheat the polity. The security is to be blamed.
A country like Nigeria needs the military, stop deceiving yourself thinking you are civil. People are not civil when it comes to elections in this part of the world and so our constitution(useless electoral law that lacks reality of our situation) is wrong and our people should be blame even so especially those who opposed the presidency's deployment of the military. I can be sure that if the military were deployed this rubbish wouln't happen. BTW, I'm not ranting, I'm just stating the obvious here, if you can get it them leave the topic.

Rip to the dead, this is so sad. Where are those that said NO TO USE OF MILITARY? I hope they can see now that the police is not enough to protect people's live during elections.
If we had used the military to provide security for this election, this sort of thing wouldn't had happened. Now people are losing their dear lives because of elections. God dey. I hope APC supporters can see what their actions has brought on innocent NIGERIANS. Sad.
