The military are more discipline than the police sef, so nothing would happen to him .. They just need to investigate and know not just those who ambush their men , but to also know the root cause of the communal clashes. ..

The military have no business with criminal investigations involving civilians. It is the Police that is constitutionally empowered to do that. The training of the Army is not for investigations. How many times have you seen the Army charge people to Court for criminal prosecution?
Romance / Re: Tell Mohbad's Dad To Get A Court Order For A DNA To Be Done - Wunmi by Babinski: 4:31pm On Mar 29
athaliya:
Wunmi already did a DNA test, Verydarkboy and Mohbad's father rubbished it and claimed that it was doctored.

Oya get a court order and do the DNA test in multiple centres, he no gree.

Shameless man thats dragging property with his own grandson. Anyone supporting this, i wish you the same. May your family snatch all that you have from your children when you're no more.

https://newtelegraphng.com/dna-test-result-confirms-mohbad-is-liams-father/#:~:text=Confirming%20the%20report%2C%20OGB%20Recent,the%20father%20of%20his%20son.%E2%80%9D

The reason Wummi wants a court order to redo the DNA test is that anyone that tampers with the result of a test ordered by court order will pay for it even in 20yrs time hence you know how much you will bribe à lab to make them tamper with court ordered test.

That's the same reason why Mohbad's father doesn't want to get a court order to do the DNA. So he would rather shout that she's not doing a DNA so people can attack her than get a DNA that will vindicate her.

What stops Wunmi from getting a Court Order to carry out a DNA test herself if going by your logic, that is what makes such a test tamper proof?

Mohbad's father has been shouting for DNA test since last year and several news outlets carried it. For example: https://www.google.com/amp/s/punchng.com/why-mohbad-sons-dna-test-must-be-done-in-my-presence-father/%3famp

The baby is not with Mohbad's father. He is with Wunmi and the same Wunmi had her lawyers write Mohbad's father that she would sue him for libel when all she needs to do to clear the air is have the baby take a DNA test. All these theatrics is just to try hoodwink the public. Mohbad's father getting a Court Order for DNA would not be as fast as Wunmi doing so. I would not be surprised that Wunmi's lawyers are prepared to oppose any Court request by Mohbad's father for DNA on several grounds. She and her supporters have been claiming that since Mohbad didn't doubt the paternity of the boy Mohbad was alive, then there is no need for DNA.

Wunmi and her group are trying to lure Baba Mohbad to court so they can stall the request for DNA legally because public opinion is high against her and she cannot find any moral reason to reject the DNA test.

Interrogation or forced confession?

When you give graphic details of what you did, it is difficult to claim forces confession. Moreover, whether forced or not, as a long as it is the truth of what you did which is clear to us all, then forget about the forcing. The idiot claimed the devil overcame him to commit rape not knowing that he and his supporters here have all been led by the devil all along.

What kind of "freedom fighters" engage in rape and killing of babies if not spawns of the devil? And to think they will be shouting Allahu Akbar while commiting the rape and killings is mind boggling!!!

I hope they will not make the mistake to torture him to death going by the anger in the rank and files of the military over the death of these gallant officers.
A man that has been living in London couldn't have been that barbaric.

The military must have seen something before declaring him wanted. I just don't want to believe that he was declared wanted base on the fact he was a community leader.

The best thing is to setup an Independent Panel to investigate the matter. The Nigeria Army is an interested party and should not be allowed to single handedly carry out the investigation. The Chief of Defense Staff has said the matter involves bunkering and goes beyond peace keeping. So the peace keeping claim was a lie all along. And we all know that the military are not completely clean on bunkering issues the same way the customs are not clean on smuggling issues. He who comes to equity must come with clean hands. The Army cannot be allowed to investigate an incident that may amount to it investigating itself.

Finally, since the matter involves civilians, it goes beyond the mandate of the Army to solely investigate.

Family / Re: My Friend Faces Dilemmas Over A Partner's Child Adoption. by Babinski: 9:31pm On Mar 28
We4all:
He can't adopt the boy if his biological father is still alive. Moreover, people train and raise kids who are not related to them by blood. Why must he insist on legally adopting the kid before assuming responsibilities for him?

He can adopt the boy on the basis of abandonment by the biological father. If the biological father has not been responsible for the feeding, schooling and fending for the child in anyway, it is considered that he has abandoned the child.

It is wisdom for the man to insist on legally adopting the child before becoming financially responsible for the child. By that action no other man can come years later to start asking for his abandoned son after someone else has spent time, money and efforts raising and taking care of the child. That would also signify the woman breaking completely with the child's father instead of entertaining the possibility of the man coming back.

The adoption would also help the boy integrate with the new family because the man will now see him as his own without any discrimination and he will also see the other children in the family as his siblings. In fact the boy would be entitled to any future inheritance from the man just like his biological children.

The woman's resistance to the adoption may either be out of ignorance and misinformation or a hidden agenda to keep her options open with the father of the child.

I suspect that this is not unconnected with the fights going on for the estate of the Late Victor Fotso, the billionaire father of Laure Njitap Toukam Fotso, wife of Jeremie Njitap (wrongly spelt Geremi). Jeremie had been the administrator of the Fotso Group owned by his father-in-law since 2011 and allegedly fraudulently acquired properties belonging to the Group and the Father-in-law's Estate. Since the man died in 2020 at the age of 94, it has been court battles among the heirs, wives and relatives for the multi-billion estate he left behind.

Apparently Jeremie had been a beneficiary of the largest of his Father-in-law all these while and it is surprising he is divorcing the daughter now on claims of infidelity.

You are right Mr Trump. But what Hamas did to them that 7 of October attack was really disheartening. I pity Palestinian children who are worst affected by this Israeli retaliation attack. Peace to the world!

Trump is just being plain stupid. It is a well known fact that you have a right to defend yourself with lethal force is your life is at risk. How much more when a neighbour without provocation invaded your house killing innocent civilians, babies ad raping women? Forget about proportionate force, if you can eradicate such neighbour and his group, all the best. The world has no use for vermin. People who go raping innocent women, killing civilians and babies and doing it with glee and without provocation are not human beings; they are worse than animals.

There is no humanity in preserving those oddious killers because humanity is about respect for life and they have shown they lack that. Some people will cry and oppose you even when you kill a man-eating Lion because of their warped sense of humanity. So it is not strange that Hamas will have supporters. Even the devil has deliberate and uninformed followers.

This will be quite an epistle, please bear with me

She has a good family, I'm sure she'd have left my sorry ass for a long time but she is afraid of what her father will say or what her family will say. If i send her away now, i pity my baby who is now over a year old.

Please your emotionless advises will be taken seriously. I will be lurking around the comments section.

She was with you through the worst period of your life, got pregnant and got engaged to you. She is from a good home and respects her parents. You have no reason to suspect her cheating and she never bothered you with billings and demands.

The truth is now that you are abroad, you have many options from our girls here who are willing to get married to you at the twinkle of an eye. It is also true that you may never have the same time to study and experience these eager options as the lady that stood with you when you had nothing. In fact to get through the pretense of these new hungry girls ready to marry an "abroad guy" is a major task. If you go and get hooked to any of them by mistake, you may live to regret it because when you have money, everyone is your friend.

My honest advice to you is to get married to the mother of your child and build a happy family. You never kept her in the know of your plans, so she had a right to be angry to know how you were spending your money.

See, no woman is perfect and it is better to get married to a reasonable lady who still respects and obeys her parents than pick from a pool of ladies you can only observe from afar and rely upon third-party reports on the conduct of such ladies. Such ladies will already have their agenda knowing you are already abroad and whatever pretense they need to make is only for a limited time. Don't go and drive yourself into a trap.

The Nigerian Army is not a Law Enforcement Agency and has no business interfering or claiming to resolve any civil disputes even in cases of criminality. The appropriate agency is the Nigeria Police.

While the killing of the Army officers and personnel is condemnable, there is need to ask why the Army was intervening in a civil matter in the first instance, which is beyond its mandate.

Obviously you have problem with basic maths

Can you please clarify how my submission involves a problem with maths?

You want to base your argument on exchange rate to the dollars when the States do not budget or incur expenditure in dollars. That is a parochial view that is without basis and for which you have not even made any attempts to advance a reasonable argument for, as a basis. It is the evidence of a one track mind that presumes itself to be the plaintiff and the judge at the same time.

When you earn and expend in local currency, any advancement in value is based on the same local currency. Are the State workers salaries being computed or paid in dollars? Are the budgets of the States made in dollars? You avoid answering these obvious questions and resort to simply parroting a meaningless exchange rate defense.

We are paying more subsidy now than we have ever paid... And we are also paying more for petrol now than we have ever paid

Divide those allocation by the exchange rate the u know states are getting far less

The States budget in Naira and their major expenses, if not all, are in Naira. Salaries and wages of workers which form the bulk of their recurrent expenditure have remained the same. None of them have increased salaries and most have no provisions for salary awards as palliatives. So what are the States doing with the excess funds? They really have questions to answer.

Religion / Re: Why Do Some Great Pastors Die Young Despite Healing Many by Babinski: 1:39pm On Mar 17
Daejumong:
It is a great irony to see great clergymen who had an illustrious ministry laden with unbelievable miracles, healings and testimonies die in their prime!
What could be the cause? Did they fall into secret sin? Did they backslide? Did they have dark secrets ? or were they taken to glory early to prevent them from falling into sin and eventual eternal perdition.
Could it be they got so busy with the flock and forgot to take care of themselves.
Look at the great Benson Idahosa, the father of Pentecostalism in Nigeria, he died in his office likely from a cardiac arrest. He was in his late fifties.

TB Joshua, arguably the most talked about clergy in the world, died after alleged health battles which ultimately culminated in his death. He was in his late fifties.

Dare Adeboye, son of the Baba Adeboye died in his sleep likely from a cardiac arrest. He was in his forties.

What are the likely causes so we all learn especially the pastors among us

Stress and Demands of Ministry:
Pastoral roles come with immense stress, including emotional burdens, long working hours, and high expectations.
The pressure to shepherd a congregation, provide spiritual guidance, and manage church affairs can take a toll on pastors’ health.

Lifestyle Choices:
Unhealthy habits, such as lack of exercise, poor diet, and inadequate sleep, contribute to health issues.
Some pastors may neglect self-care while prioritizing their congregations.

Mental Health Challenges:
Depression, anxiety, and burnout affect pastors.
The weight of pastoral responsibilities can exacerbate mental health conditions.
Isolation and Loneliness:
Despite being surrounded by people, pastors may experience isolation.
They often lack close confidants due to the pastoral role’s unique demands.

Spiritual Warfare and Attacks:
Pastors face spiritual battles and attacks.
The enemy seeks to undermine their faith, health, and well-being.

Suicide Risk:
Some pastors struggle silently with mental health issues.
The stigma around seeking help may prevent them from addressing their emotional pain.
Tragically, some pastors die by suicide.

In summary, the challenges pastors encounter—stress, lifestyle choices, mental health, isolation, and spiritual warfare—contribute to their vulnerability. It’s crucial to prioritize pastors’ well-being and support them in their vital role.

It is an insult to the memory of Bishop Idahosa to mention his name and that of at TB Joshua in the same breath when talking about Christian Pastors. They are poles apart: One is a Christian and the other is not. Sorcerers perform miracles and that doesn't make them less of who they are.

That being said, several reasons including the physical and spiritual may contribute to the early demise of some Pastors. Pastors are human and are advised to look after their physical health.

If you are charging Yahaya Bello to court for N84 billion, how much did Kogi State generate throughout the 8 years he was governor? 😂

Looting N 1 Billion per month for 8 years amounts to N 96 Billion. Monthly allocations to Kogi State from the Federal Government is not less than N 2 Billion per month and Yahaya Bello was notorious for owing civil servant salaries. Those civil servant salaries form the largest expense block for the monthly allocations. So it is within reason than he can loot N 84 Billion.

Inconsistent policy of Nigeria government. Nigeria have shamed themself amongst committee of West African states. What a shame.

In the relationship between nations, just as in politics, there are no permanent enemies: it is all about interests. It is understandable that any democratic government would immediately distance itself from any military coup plotters so as no to encourage the same within its own domain. And that is what most of the ECOWAS members did. They tried all attempts except kinetic confrontation to get the coup plotters in Niger to revert to democracy but when that failed, obviously life must continue and economic considerations come to play. Tinubu's actions were supported by ECOWAS resolutions, so he is not the only one toeing that line.

When can the Court Order a DNA Test?
Where a person is a minor (not an adult) and his paternity is in issue, the court can order the conduct of DNA test in the overall interest of the child, to ascertain where he belongs. See TONY ANOZIA V. MRS. PATRICIA OKWUNWA NNANI & IGNATIUS "NNANI" (2015) 8 NWLR (PT. 1461) 241

Who Can Apply for a Paternity Test in Nigeria?
Notwithstanding that the right to ascertain paternity exists in Nigeria, it is important to understand that the process and conditions surrounding the application for a paternity test must adhere to established legal principles.

In Nigeria, the following individuals can apply for a paternity test:

1. A Father: A man who doubts his biological relationship with a child can apply for a paternity test.

2. A Mother: A mother may also apply for a paternity test to establish the biological father of her child.

3. A Guardian or Custodian: In the paramount interest of a child, the child's guardian may apply to the Court to ascertain the paternity of the child.

Mohbad's father is neither of the above. This case is DOA. He does not have the locus.

You appear to be one of the sympathizers and advisers of Wumi but you should not come here to misinform the public. The case you cited clearly made pronouncements that a court can order DNA test for a child.

On the issue of who can make application for DNA test, what you wrote here did not come from the case you cited and is at best your own opinion. It is not a legal pronouncement.

Wumi has already served Mohbad's father with pre-action notice from her lawyer claiming the man was defaming her by saying Mohbad told him she was cheating. Is it therefore not curious that she is trying to avoid DNA test that would ideally help her prove she is not a cheat?

Anyway, the Court will order the DNA test and liars will be exposed.

MiddleDimension:

That'a not the issue at hand. The issue is that it is not only wrong, but ungodly to put aside any of your wives because you claim you are now born again.

The bible never said that, christians ahould aeriously ask themselves where they got that idea from that a man should out aside one of his wives if he become born again.

Is it not a sin to do what God has not tod you to do? why christians accept to teach that falsehood is what is beyond me.

If you disagree with Oyakhilome, then put forward your arguement and show that they are superior to his. That is fair enough, right?

God, who is the creator of marriage, designed it to be between one man and one woman. If you have married two wives before you became born again, then these are the options open to you.

Your marriage to the first wife is the valid one and you should separate yourself from the other wife and let her go and get her own husband. However if she cannot do that for any reason, then you should be responsible for her upkeep and that of her children. They are your responsibility which your earlier actions brought about and you cannot divorce yourself from that.

However, you can no more have conjugal relations with the other wife because that would amount to adultery. You cannot continue in sin as expect God to be pleased with you.

Note that you may not be able to serve in any church leadership role because the Bible is strictly clear about that in 1 Timothy 3:1-16

That is why he over leveraged Intercontinental bank, with a balance sheet top heavy with physical assets but not enuff cash to fend off Accessbank ...................Erastus true to type took opportunity of the chairman's ill health and naivety to take unmatched control of the bank...well Nemesis caught up with him, as it has also caught up with the wigwe guy!na so world be!

The fall of Intercontinental Bank was not due to the over leveraging you allude to in reality. The bank was given a clean bill of health by CBN Examiners just a few months before Sanusi came in and then ordered another set of examinations that had to be done 5 times to get the his desired result to achieve his objectives. Till today the Report of the Examination is yet to see the light of day, which is curious but not surprising given what Sanusi set about to achieve.

Is it not surprising that the MD/CEO appointed to manage Intercontinental Bank was Mahmoud Alabi, a known stooge of Saraki who immediately set about writing off N 8 billion out of over N 11 billion owed to Intercontinental Bank by Saraki and consequently returning back the collateral to Saraki? How do you explaining choosing to write off well collateralized loans in a bank you accuse of having systemic challenges?

And forget about your story of fending off Access Bank. Access Bank and its chief promoters (Aig and Wigwe) were indebted to Intercontinental Bank to the tune of over N 25 Billion and yet wanted to buy Intercontinental Bank for N 50 Billion? Was that not a joke? The money that Aig and Wigwe used to acquire Access Bank came from a N 16billion loan from the same Intercontinental Bank and they never paid back!

I have a very close friend,we met in a place of work, and gradually got used to each other, but the problem is that the guy has been through a lot in life, health wise, and this has led to a lot of financial ups and downs,he has no wife,no children, and still struggling financially, although he is now earning a steady income, tomorrow he will be 50years of age and he is feeling so down and depressed that he has achieved practically nothing in this life.I have encouraged him as much as I can,but he is still seeing his life through the mirror of other peoples life.I plan to surprise him tomorrow,,with a treat.what advice can I get from you guys, please.

Ray Kroc joined the McDonalds business that he made global and for which we remember him today after he was more than 50 years old. All he did in his early years paled to his achievements in later years.

There are Early Bloomers and Late Bloomers. Some achieve quickly early and die early and for some, it is later years to their old age. So there is nothing to be really sad about as long as you trust in God and keep putting in your best with focus.

Politics / Re: Saraki, Sanusi: How They Took Over Intercontinental Bank From Akingbola by Babinski: 10:39pm On Mar 07
Abufo:

Erastus used his rights as a director of the bank to borrow funds to finance his purchases of intercontinental bank shares! sidelining all other directors including the mumu chairman! He ran the bank as his personal fiefdom..........we know the full story........including his underhand dealings with RCCG

It is better to state facts rather than unsubstantiated allegations in your bid to tarnish the image of a man. From claims that he hijacked Intercontinental Bank from Igbo owners, it has now come to labelling the Chairman a "mumu" and bringing up additional allegations of using bank funds to buy shares, engaging in underhand dealings and running the bank like his personal fiefdom?! You need to be careful how you throw these unsubstantiated allegations around.

No Bank MD/CEO in Nigeria is a Saint. In respect of personal loans to directors, almost all if not all the banks in the country have done that severally. Go ask Tony Elumelu at UBA, Aig-Imohkuede and Herbert Wigwe at Access Bank, Jim Ovia at Zenith Bank and several others.

But of course, the idea of a Muslim-Muslim agenda, which we believe is the right of the Muslim majority in a democracy....

Can the man expatiate more on the Muslim-Muslim Agenda because what we knew was only Muslim-Muslim ticket? What was the agenda?

It is trite to say that a Supreme Council for Shariah in Nigeria (SCSN) is an aberration against the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria which is a secular state. Shariah Law is against our Constitution in several ways including its pronouncements on apostasy and blasphemy which violate the constitutional provisions for freedom of speech and right to life.
