He gave the instruction but never knew he would die the next moment, that is when a human being acts like one rather than behaving like a programmed robot who only act on the last command. Regarding the information on who his next of kin is and the number of his wives, these are not difficult to verify before acting. Besides, there will be some consultations and necessary legal documents as back up.

It appears you have not worked seriously in a corporate environment where rules are followed before. You may not have also had experience with legal cases and liabilities before.

The death of a man does not invalidate his instructions automatically, otherwise instructions in Wills and Last Testaments will have no effect once the maker is dead.

Ask the opinion of a seasoned lawyer on the course of action you want to take by giving the money to the wife and the possible legal liabilities that may result and you will understand that trying to use your discretion here comes with legal implications should any problem arise on the matter. "I thought" is different from "I was instructed" if you ever have to face any panel or court.

The instruction is pay the money to the bank. You do not know who the Next of Kin is. It may be his son or daughter. He may even have more than one wife with only one known to you. When you go and give money to the wife, you are going outside your mandate. That is how people get into the trap of misappropriation of funds in their official duties

Generosity or philanthropy is not a contradiction of nor an excuse for wickedness and evil conduct. There are serial killers who appeared as gentlemen and responsible family and community residents. For such, their communities were shocked when they were uncovered as serial killers.

Those trying to do damage control for TB Joshua by publishing generosity stories shouldn't get carried away under the assumption that the public will be fooled.

This Country You see so na just politics to APC nothing more nothing less.

Nigerians are in a maximum mess under this APC disaster, tribalism no go gree una understand.

Tinubu has a better agenda than Buhari had and your u can see it in his appointees and some of his decisions. The nation is feeling the impact of subsidy removal but that is a decision Atiku and Obi also supported in their campaigns. How the situation is managed overall is what may differ.

Look at what the Minister of Interior has done, clearing backlogs in Passport and making the process faster. Betta Edu has been suspended and will serve as warning to other appointees. This is something Buhari never did. I learnt N 200 million and N 100 million was given by Tinubu to each Senator and House of Rep member in December to give palliatives to their constituents. It will not be surprising if most of them simply pocket the money.

One of the major problems with leadership in Nigeria is that you cannot do the work alone and most of the people you try to use are likely thieves and opportunists. There is institutional corruption at such level that evening you as a President says something, you can see some appointees or officers furthering their own interests secretly to thwart your vision and instructions.

If the President orders the Police to secretly investigate you for example, a top ranking Police Officer on your payroll will inform you and except your offense is so glaring, they may even submit a report exonerating you to the Presidency if you pay them very well. That is how bad the country is.

APC is not a party of saints at all as it is also a reflection of the fact that Nigeria is not a country peopled by saints and completely honourable citizens. It is a fact the average Nigerian doesn't hate corruption when it benefits him. He only hates it when it is against him. We all need to work on ourselves. Arm chair criticism is easy.

The truth is that no matter how good your vision and plans are, you will see people in your crowd of followers who never really bought into your vision but are only faking it and have their own agenda.

There are plenty people following Peter Obi and shouting obidient here and there but have their own agenda. For example Dozy Mmobuosi was one of those faces with Obi at several gatherings and taking pictures together. Just last week he was arrested in the US for Securities Fraud.

There are plenty of people following Tinubu whose main agenda is their pocket and looking for opportunities to loot.

It is not enough to fire Betta Edu. The Accountant General who honored that fraudulent request must also be sanctioned. In fact, the minister can be excused for being ignorant of the rules guiding the operation of special projects/programs account. However, the Accountant General who actually made the rules cannot be excused.

Those payments are not just fraudulent, they clearly violates extant regulations guiding public expenditure. Both the minister and the Accountant General should be sanctioned. I like Betty but I will not support this obvious fraud.

The Accountant General has replied that the request by Betta Edu was not executed. Nonetheless the situation brings up a lot of issues. Betta may claim ignorance of official procedures as a politician, but did she consult the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry before making her request?

Hamas leadership are not ready to welcome death willingly otherwise they will be living in Gaza and not in opulence in Qatar and elsewhere.

According to the Hadith Sunan Ibn Majah 4258, even Muhammad labels death as the destroyer of pleasures. And what more do the Hamas leadership want if not pleasures? Is it not pleasure that is being looked forward to in the promise of sleeping with virgins? While one is a promise, the life they are enjoying currently in Qatar is reality and a bird in hand, that is apparently worth more than many birds in the bush.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Difference Between Palestinian And Nigerian Christians by Babinski: 6:19pm On Dec 25, 2023
motayoayinde:
Palestinian Christians including those in Bethlehem where Jesus was born are celebrating a low key Christmas this year. Some are not celebrating at all. This is because of their sadness over the brutal killing of thousands of Palestinian women and children by Zionist Isreal.

One the other hand, most Nigerian Christians are jubilating over this killings and praying for the Zionists to kill more.
This no doubt calls to question, the brand of Christianity most Nigerian Christians practice.
Most practice a heartless, soulless type of Christianity full of raw hate of Muslims.

Some Palestinian Christians are from the same village as Jesus. They've been Christians for about 2000 years. They've lived with Arab Muslims for over a thousand years. Yet, they are clear minded enough not to celebrate the killing of Muslim women and children.

Surely, most Nigerian Christians do not practice the Christianity that came from the source.

https://min.news/en/world/411fa5a378f2af457f0c4bb836c795ca.html

Bethlehem falls within the West Bank under Palestinian territory. In view of the ongoing hostilities or war between Israel and Hamas which extend to these territories in some way, in the interest of safety, the best thing is to cancel Christmas celebrations that would cause lots of people to gather in the same area. Secondly, some Palestinian Christians who have lost relatives in Gaza definitely have mixed feelings celebrating under such circumstances.

The decision of Palestinian Christians to not celebrate Christmas does not necessarily validate any claims of genocide neither does it validate any blames on Israel for the war. Even when Davide learnt that Absalom his son, who has tried to overthrow him, was dead, he still felt sad. It is not about the rightness or wrongness of the action. No one can be really happy to celebrate anything when his or her relatives have recently died even if it were by suicide.

Hamas started the war unprovoked by killing innocent children and civilians. Surprisingly or unsurprisingly to some, Palestinians mostly jubilated at the actions of Hamas, which simply meant they supported it. Some of them including their children even looted and hunted Israelis during the attacks by Hamas. So whatever they are getting, no matter how painful it is, was indirectly facilitated by their actions and support.

Whatever the motives behind the trial of Emefiele, as long as he is guilty, he is one their less that we have to worry about.

The extent of corruption in Nigeria requires wisdom in any fights against corruption, particularly in a civilian regime unlike a military regime that is dictatorial and has absolute powers. Corruption fights back, and when it fights back it will not tell you or the world that it is corruption that is fighting back. If you take on too many corrupt people at once such that the corrupt see you as their arch-enemy, they will gang up against you on all fronts and if possible remove you from power. So you pick the low hanging fruits first.

But everyone is welcome to the church.

The sun shines for every one to see. If God himself doesn't segregate, who are we to !

The Church welcome sinners because God does not want anyone to die a sinner. However, God does not condone and never blesses sin. God has made it known through the Bible clearly that homosexuality is a sin and He hates it. Therefore God does not approve of and can never bless same-sex marriage. God's love for the soul of sinners not to presih should not be construed as permission for sin in anyway!

Marriage as designed by God is a union between a man and a woman and not otherwise.

The Pope is clearly wrong and doing this to please people and not God. And that is so sad.

Religion / Re: Was Matthew 28 VS 19 Altered By The Catholic Church? by Babinski: 11:50pm On Dec 13, 2023
oteneaaron:

Interesting.

Pray tell, how I am being deceitful when I was only sharing that the Catholic Church themselves admitted in their Encyclopedia that they did change the wordings of Matthew 28 VS 19?

I took my time to check out the references you shared, but unfortunately, the issue still persist.

The Quora link you shared contained numerous opinions for and against the notion that the Catholic Church altered Matthew 28 VS 19.

George E. Howard in 1985, published a translation of Shem Tob's Hebrew Gospel of Matthew.

I couldn't get my hands on this translation by George E. Howard - if you have it can you show me what Matthew 28 VS 19 says in that translation?

William L. Peterson of the Pennsylvania State University, Netherlands Institute for Advanced Studies published a paper titled - Some Observations on a Recent Edition of and Introduction to Shem-Tob's "Hebrew Matthew"

In the paper, this is the only thing he said about Shem Tob's version of Matthew 28 VS 19:

If you have the translation, please share with me exactly what Matthew 28 VS 19 says.

Here is a link to the paper - http://rosetta.reltech.org/TC/vol03/Petersen1998a.html

The fact still remains the the Catholic Church themselves made clearly said this in their own Encyclopedia:

So what gives?

To me, where the deceit comes in on this issue is the attempt to mixup events and blur timelines.

The original Matthew Gospel was written in Aramaic (losely referred to as Hebrew) in the 1st Century AD. Shortly after, Greek translations appeared with the earliest dating to the 1st Century and all these Greek translations contained the Trinitarian formula in their reproduction of Matthew 28:19

The Shem-Tob's Hebrew Matthew Gospel which did not contain the Trinitarian formula and which is the cornerstone of your argument was written in the 14th Century, more than 1200 years after the original Matthew Gospel and the early Greek translations. The fact that it is written in Hebrew does not erode the huge gap between it and the original that it purports to reproduce which leave ample room for errors. How can a reproduction with such wide gap in years be expected to be taken as closer to the original than the translations and reproductions that appeared only decades after the original?

I have seen some people falsely try to date Shem-Tob's Hebrew Matthew Gospel to the period of the original Matthew Gospel (which was written in Aramaic with the Aramaic language being labeled as Hebrew) and then allude to it being a more exact version of the original Matthew Gospel on the basis of language, particularly when it is the oldest existing Hebrew version of the Matthew Gospel. Mind you, while Aramaic and Hebrew belong to the same Linguistic classification of Northwest Semitic languages, the two are not exactly the same language. Therefore Shem-Tob's Hebrew Matthew Gospel is also a translation, and a translation made more than 1200 years after the original Gospel was written.

Also, note that Shem-Tob's Hebrew Matthew Gospel was first discovered included in a 14th-century work Eben Boḥan (The Touchstone) which is an anti-Christian treatise written by a Spanish Jewish Rabbi Shem-Tov ben Isaac ben Shaprut. In the book the Rabbi argued against the fact that Jesus is God, which is essentially an argument against Trinity. So his inclusion of a version of Matthew Gospel that does not contain elements of Trinitarian doctrine is not strange based on his objectives.

Secondly, baptisms in the early Church were done in the name of Jesus as exemplified by several verses in the Book of Acts of the Apostles such as Acts 2:38. However around the 2nd to 3rd Century, the Catholic Church changed their baptismal formula to align with Trinitarian doctrine. Thus baptisms were now conducted in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. This was the issue referred to in the Catholic Encyclopedia and not any alteration of Matthew 28:19 or any Bible verse.

I presume you are not a Christian, however understanding the difference between changing a religious procedure and altering a Bible verse shouldn't be difficult.

For majority of Christians, they believe that being baptized is a one of the most important tenets of Christianity.

Some people get baptized as children, others get baptized as adults when they join specific Christian denomination or sect.

The act of being baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, is based on the instructions explicitly stated at Matthew 28 verse 19:

But while doing some research, I found out that there seems to be a problem with the above verse, because there is solid evidence that proves that the Catholic Church in the Second Century CE, altered the above verse to propagate the doctrine of the Trinity.

Here is a collection of some of these evidences to prove that the Catholic Church really did alter Matthew chapter 28 verse 19:

Please don't take my word for it, do your own research.

To help you on your research journey, here is a link to a collection of these hard to believe evidences - https://www.onenesspentecostal.com/matt2819-willis.htm

I have done my research and the outcome expose the deceit and lies in your claims.

Some people claim that Matthew 28:19 was altered to contain the Trinitarian formula and that the original text supported baptism in the name of Jesus only.

Most proponents of the claim rely on Shem-Tob's Hebrew Matthew Gospel and writings of Eusebius the Bishop where his quotes of Matthew 28:19 only contain baptism in my name (Jesus name).

Shem-Tob's Hebrew Matthew Gospel date back to 14th Century while Eusebius and his writings date back to the 4th Century (around 300 AD).

It is widely agreed that the Matthew Gospel was originally written in Aramaic (losely refered to as Hebrew) and that translations followed later in Greek and that the original text was written in the 1st Century (around 60 AD) as attested to be several early Christian Fathers such as Papias (80-155 AD), Irenaeus (130-202 AD) and Origen (185-254 AD).

The original Aramaic text of Matthew Gospel did not survive to date but the Greek translations contain the Trinitarian formula of baptism in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost and the earliest Greek translations date back to the 1st Century (around 75 AD).

The Didache (also known as The Lord's Teaching Through the Twelve Apostles to the Nations), an early Christian Treatise written in Koine Greek dating to the turn of the 1st Century (around 100 AD) and with significant similarities to the Matthew Gospel, contains the Trinitarian formula in its borrowings from Matthew 28:19.

Tertullian (an early Christian author who lived between 155 to 220 AD), writing around the turn of the 2nd century, also cited the bapstismal Trinitarian formula from the Matthean passage in his writings.

From the foregoing, the earliest texts that those who claim alteration of Matthew 28:19 rely upon were written between 300 AD to 1,400 AD while texts and writings as early as 75 AD to 220 AD support the Trinitarian formula in references to Matthew 28:19.

It is clear therefore that the claims of alteration are more recent and difficult to sustain with facts. It is safe to conclude that the allegations of alteration are false.

Yes they did at the Nicaea Council led by the Roman Emperor Constantine I in AD 325.

Do your research 🔬

You are a liar. The Catholic Church and indeed no one at the Fist Council of Nicea ( AD 325) modified any section of the Christian Bible.

The Council was principally convened to solve the problem created in the Eastern church by Arianism, a heresy first proposed by Arius of Alexandria that affirmed that Christ is not divine but a created being..

Consequently, its main accomplishments were settlement of the Christological issue of the divine nature of God the Son and his relationship to God the Father, the construction of the first part of the Nicene Creed, mandating uniform observance of the date of Easter, and promulgation of early canon law (ordnances and regulations for governance in a Christian church or body).

The Fist Council of Nicea never altered any Bible verses.

Proctor and Gamble is no more because they couldn't withstand the competition. For a very long time, they were one of the biggest producers of major items like diapers, pads and others which were sold at high rates.

With the entrance of other players, they gave Nigerians similar products for less. This was a major blow on Proctor and Gamble as sales dwindled.

Instead of them to restructure and slash prices to match with their competitors, they decided to take a bow. Nigerians won't miss them because we have alternatives.

The "competition" that you claimed P&G could not withstand is a negative type of competion that does not grow the economy and does not provide commensurate jobs. The fact that you have cheaper imported alternatives does not imply healthy economics in the short and long run. Former French colonies like Benin Republic have cheap alternatives dumped at the expense of local industry growth and the low purchasing power of their citizenry clearly negates any benefits from the alternatives aside smuggling into countries like Nigeria that have better purchasing power. Having manufacturing companies is different from having distributors.

Crime / Re: Was Nigerian Student Arrested In USA For Impregnating 4 Female Police Officers? by Babinski: 5:10pm On Dec 10, 2023
Gjrich:
Nigerian international student arrested for impregnating 4 female police officers in US.

A Nigerian international student named Jamil Ezebuike, from Anambra State, has found himself entangled in a legal web in the United States for impregnating police women.

Ezebuike, pursuing a course in women’s security at a distinguished university in New Jersey, stands accused of impregnating not one, but four female police officers.

His arrest has sent shockwaves through the community, unravelling a complex narrative of deceit and clandestine relationships.

Ezebuike’s journey to the US took shape under the guise of an international student, armed with a non-immigrant study visa.

As an aspiring professional in women’s security, he had seemingly immersed himself in a course that aligns with his academic pursuits.

The intricate tale of his arrest unveils a carefully orchestrated deception.

Operating under the radar, Ezebuike managed to engage romantically with four female police officers simultaneously.

The relationships remained concealed until one of the officers, who had been impregnated by Ezebuike, discovered the truth.

What adds a layer of intrigue to the story is the officer’s decision to investigate further, revealing Ezebuike’s involvement with three other women in the police force.

The revelation prompted the officer to report the situation, leading to Ezebuike’s apprehension by security authorities.

The legal repercussions loom large as he faces the prospect of a court arraignment.

If found guilty, the consequences may extend to deportation back to Nigeria, marking a significant downturn in his academic and personal pursuits.

This incident serves as a poignant reminder of the complexities surrounding international relationships and the ethical considerations that come with studying abroad.

The legal proceedings will not only determine Ezebuike’s fate but also underscore the importance of transparency and adherence to ethical standards, particularly in a cross-cultural academic environment.

As the story unfolds, it casts a spotlight on the intersection of personal choices, legal consequences, and the broader implications for international students navigating foreign educational landscapes.

This story is false and nothing but a fabrication contrived by the author.

The pictures of the pregnant Police officers are from various sources and some date back to 2014. One is a picture of Jennifer Olivas, a patrol cop with Marfa Police Department. Another is a picture of a widow honouring her dead husband who was a police officer in a maternity photo shoot.

A simple Google search shows Jamil Ezebuike as a phony name that does not exist much less connected with impregnating police officers.

Culture / Re: Orun Oba Ado In Ife/benin Relationship Real Facts by Babinski: 1:52am On Dec 09, 2023
samuk:

I believe we have to look critically at the transition from the Ogiso dynasty to the Oba dynasty. I know this is a very controversial area that many people don't want to get involved in. Our French brother actually argued that it has always been one dynasty and the two dynasty was a recent thing, I am inclined to believe. I don't believe the Ogiso dynasty was fabricated as he suggested because there are too many oral traditions across various Edoid tribes to support the Ogisos.

The difficulty for me is that most early European written accounts of Benin history are not in English and many haven't been translated. I would like to know if the title of any Benin monarch is buried in these early writings, I want to know when it changed from Ogiso to Oba, the earliest I can find the use of oba is Button written accounts in 1865.

In 1824, the British was in yoruba land and between 1824 and 1891 the British was very active in Nigeria, both the British and their local agents such as Ajayi Crowder had numerous written accounts of that period and different tribes but nothing was written to support Benin/Ife connection.

Ryder in 1965 came to the same conclusion that Benin/Ife connection wasn't recorded in early Europeans writings of Benin and that it was a recent (after the fall of Benin) tradition.

Since I can't find any evidence to link Benin to Ife, the two dynastic history of Benin become an issue for me.

I also noticed that since I divided Benin history into pre-1897 and post 1897, the insults from some of our yoruba neighbours greatly reduced, some even become less interested in the Benin/Ife connection. I even put up $1000, one thousand US dollars for anyone that can provide any written evidence before 1895 that support Benin/Ife connection, till now no one on this forum have been able to provide any evidence.

I will not want to go on here why I think the Benin palace is promoting the Benin/Ife connection, I have already made my thought known in the past.

After the fall of Benin in 1897, Benin history was changed to align with the political situation of the time, Benin history still carries that distortion.

The proclaiming of Oranmiyan as an Oba by the current Oba is a continuation of the post 1897 political history of Benin.

Yoruba history since 1824 have followed the same pattern of continously moving the goalposts, every yoruba towns and villages now traces their origin to Ife, including those that once claimed Sudan and many other places outside Nigeria.

The request for written Pre-1897 Benin History as a basis to attack the Oranmiyan-Benin Royalty link is weak, particularly when your own sources are oral histories recounted by persons born in the 18th or 19th Century.
A book written in the 20th Century may be based on historical findings that date back centuries which may be corroborated by recent archeological discoveries. Trying to discredit such book based on publication date is at best the works of uninformed minds.

Ryder's book "A Reconsideration of the Ife-Benin Relationship" which some people attacking the OP tried to quote from was published in 1965 and contained a dubious and discredited 1823 account of a European that Benin Kingdom was founded by a white man who came over the great waters and supplanted the Ogisos. That someone would even made allusions to such ludicrous story to counter the OP shows the paucity and weakness of evidence to support their claims.

Unsurprisingly, Ryder's later book "Benin and the Europeans, 1485-1897" which was published in 1969 acknowledged the Oranmiyan story in the establishment of the Oba Dynasty in Benin.

Chief Jacob U. Egharevba, the local Benin Historian, acknowledged by people like Ryder and many others, is widely accepted as an authority on Benin History. In all his books including the popular "A Short History of Benin", the Oranmiyan-Benin link was acknowledged as the start of the Oba of Benin Dynasty.

From almost all credible sources including statements from the Benin Palace, the Obas of Benin are descendants of Oranmiyan, a Yoruba Prince.

The OP substantiated his claims with clear evidence from written history. All others opposing him want us to simply take their words or what their grandmothers told them as authoritative. Such position is ludicrous. You cannot re-write history to suit you or your feelings.

Politics / Re: Eko Row: Benin People ‘Owned’ Lagos, Awori Paid Royalties To Them - Erelu Abiola by Babinski: 10:28am On Dec 04, 2023
Supremos:

It seems a lot of people knows the truth

There are clear elements of misinformation and misunderstanding in Erelu Abiola Dosunmu's statements:

1. That a territory pays tribute to you does not expressly mean you own the territory. In several places in Africa, you pay tribute at times to avoid wars, raiding and invasion. Villages paying tributes to Boko Haram and Bandits to farm and harvest produce are clearly not owned by the tribute collectors.

In olden days Africa, most times it is like a jungle and the stronger person can compel you to pay tribute to avoid problems from him. It doesn't mean he owns you and most times doesn't even bother to establish any administrative post in your village or territory. You simply carry the tributes to him at designated times. That is the case between Benin and Lagos. There was no record of a conquest and Benin people did not "found" Lagos by any stretch of imagination.

2. All Oba of Lagos trace their lineage to Ashipa who was a War Captain of the Oba of Benin. The first Oba of Lagos, Oba Ado was the son of Ashipa. Ashipa has been established to have been a local Awori who existed around 1570 to 1630. It is therefore an undisputed fact that the Benin met the Awori in Lagos and had some relationship with them to warrant an Awori (Ashipa) being a War Captain of the Oba of Benin.

3. It is without doubt that the Benin Kingdom itself (1180–1897), which came after the Igodomido era, was headed by an Oba that came from Ile Ife and was a Yoruba. All Oba of Benin since that are seen as his descendants and consequently Yoruba by origin. It is perhaps this history and relationship that allowed the Oba of Benin to have Ashipa, an Awori (a Yoruba sub-group that migrated from Ile Ife) as a War Captain and which allowed the Oba of Benin to grant Ashipa the trust and permission to establish a Royal lineage in Eko (Lagos).

4. For those speaking about conquest, how do you conquer a people with one of their sons as your War Captain and also permit him to establish a Royal lineage in the territory and be confident their will be no revolt? The Oba of Benin clearly saw Ashipa as being of same root stock (Yoruba) to even trust and elevate him as War Captain in the first instance and same extended to allowing him to "rule" over his Awori clan who are also ethnically Yoruba. It was also that relationship that allowed Obas of Benin to give daughters in marriage to the Obas of Eko (Lagos). If you conquer a people and establish a dynasty over them in Africa, your first choice is to follow a paternal rather than maternal lineage. It is also noteworthy that there is no record of a single blood being shed in the claimed "conquest" of Lagos by the Benin Kingdom in a War Party led by a son of the Aworis who were purportedly being conquered.

5. Prince Ado who became first Oba of Eko (Lagos) was actually a son of Ashipa born of a Benin woman (possibly a daughter or relative of Oba of Benin) and not a SON of Oba of Benin.

6. It is not a coincidence that all the Obas in Lagos from Iduganran (base of Oba of Eko and descendants of Ashipa) to Epe, Iba, Ikorodu, etc are all Awori people.

There is no doubt that Lagos was founded and settled by the Awori people and no amount of revisionist history has been able to overcome that.

If there is anyone that has anything to gain from burning INEC Office and Election Materials, it is Yahaya Bello and his group that committed an electoral heist.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Hamas In SA: "Israel Has Destroyed The Two-state Solution" (PIX) by Babinski: 8:36am On Dec 02, 2023
WannaHowzit:
There needs to be another solution to end the violence in Gaza, as the two-state solution is no longer viable. This was according to Hamas officials in a press conference on Wednesday night.

Members of the media heard from Hamas representative based in Iran, Khaled Qaddoumi, and senior Hamas official and former Gaza health minister, Basem Naim at a media conference in Imam Haron Hall in Cape Town, South Africa.

Qaddoumi said that as it stands, there is “one Israeli state,” adding that the rules are so strict that Israel authorities are not letting Palestinians fish even 10km into the sea.

“The two-state solution and other solutions they are coming up with and the diplomatic actions don’t work. What happens to the children’s dreams? They are not aliens; they are human beings like you and me. The two-state solution is not viable. We need another solution,” said Qaddoumi.

“What happens to the dreams of the Palestinian children? They are not aliens; they are human beings like you and me. The message from the global community to Palestine is to go and die.”

Naim backed this sentiment that the two-state solution is not working.

“The two-state solution has been undermined and destroyed by Israel. If there is a way to achieve long-lasting peace, then sure. But we want the rights of Palestinian people to be realised, and we want the return of Palestinians to their land.

Naim added that the narrative that Hamas attacked civilians at the music festival was fabricated. Naim said while Hamas did in fact initiate an attack on Israel on October 7, he denied targeting civilians; a claim backed by an Israeli newspaper publication.

The Hamas attack on October 7 was an act of defence, said Naim, and stressed this was not the start of the violence.

“The story didn’t start on October 7. It started in 1948, when people were displaced from their homes and massacred. We are calling for the Israeli aggression to stop. We are negotiating for a permanent ceasefire. We are talking about a political conflict, and this political conflict cannot be solved through military tools. We are calling for the Rafah crossing to be opened so 2 million people can have access to food, water, and aid. We call for the lifting of the siege unconditionally. We have committed no sin.”

He said the only “mistake” was electing the resistance into power.

Naim said that while they do appreciate the efforts of the South African government and have highlighted good present and historical ties, the South African government can do more.

“As the late honourable Nelson Mandela said, South African freedom is incomplete without the freedom of the Palestinians. We do appreciate the efforts by the South African government, but we are looking for more pressure on the Israeli government. This means a full boycott and cutting all ties to Israel.”

I would have said these Hamas people are idiots. However the best way to describe them to me is a group of disillusioned terrorists with a manipulative and selfish leadership that value their own lives, safety and material gain much more than the lives and peace of mind of other Palestinians. The relevance and sustenance of Hamas is tied to the conflict with Israel even if it comes at horrible cost to the Palestinian nation.

Is it not the same Hamas that vowed in it's charter to see to the destruction and eradication of Jews and Israel?

Is it not the same Hamas the channels foreign aid in billions of dollars to build tunnels, rockets, buy ammunition and have their leadership live in wealth outside Gaza instead of building hospitals, schools and amenities for Palestinians?

Is it not the same Hamas that said the welfare of Palestinians is the problem of the United Nations because they are all refugees and not the concern of Hamas?

Is it not the same Hamas that shoot rockets from schools, playgrounds, hospitals and among civilians without regard for the lives of the children and civilians from Israeli retaliation? In fact they want Palestinian children and civilians to be casualties so they can use it for propaganda. And yet they claim to love Palestinians?

Is it not the same Hamas that has refused to have elections conducted in Gaza in almost 20 years since they came to power and regularly kill dissenting Palestinians that criticize them or whom they perceive as liberals or supporters of peace with Israel?

Is it not the same Hamas that has overseen the economic destruction of Gaza to the point that there is 49% general unemployment and 70% youth unemployment?

Despite knowing a lot of Gazans worked in Israeli industries, Hamas chose to create conflict that led to loss of jobs and their alternative is to recruit disillusioned youths to bear arms and hatred against Jews and Israel. Now they ask about the future of Palestinian children as if they care or it matters to them beyond using the children as collateral damage for propaganda against Israel.

When the UN Partition Plan was made in 1947/48, it is on record that while the Jews agreed to the two State Solution with Jerusalem being under UN control, the Arabs rejected the plan and sought to annihilate Israel in a War that eventually led to the loss of territory and mass displacement for the Palestinian Arabs. So where is the blame of the Jews or Israel in the matter?

The other Arabs that instigated Palestinians Arabs to the revolt and eventual War of 1948, what have they done for the Palestinian Arabs till date? Everyone returned to their own homes while the fools that allowed their homes to be destroyed in a senseless war became homeless.

When people try to instigate you to War with your neighbors you need to use your brain. Northern Nigerians quickly shouted out against any conflict with Niger Republic by Nigeria because they would bear the brunt of any conflict. Other ECOWAS instigators would eventually return to their own countries after any conflict and live in peace while the conflict zone may be in perpetual problem.

That is the wisdom the Palestinian Arabs lacked in 1947/48. And rather than retrace their steps and ask themselves what have they gained from the conflict with Israel, they continue to beat about the bush and waste their lives and the future of their children.

You won't believe that during the days of Mandatory Palestine, Palestinian Arabs stood proudly high in the committee of Arabs from other countries as follows:

1. They had one of the highest literacy rates among their fellow Arabs.
2. Their earning power was in the top echlons of the Arab world.
3. The Human Development Index place them high above those of Egypt and Jordan.
4. They had one of the best per Capita income among other Arabs.

Though they trailed Palestinian Jews in development, among their fellow Arabs they were outstanding. If they had continued at that pace even though there were occasional conflict with the Jews, only God know where they would be today. In fact they would have been more self sustaining that other Arabs that now depend largely on oil wealth that will not last forever. But they threw it all away for hatred and the foolish hope that they would take over all Mandatory Palestine and expel the Jews. And today where are they compared to other Arabs?

The foolish wife that fought and destroyed her own home has now learnt the bitter lesson that her friends that instigated her will not accommodate her neither will they let her destroy their own homes.

Hamas are expressing their nature as terrorists the only language they understand is fire for fire, let all their sympathisers continue to cry as usual.

The truth is that Hamas has no place or value in a peaceful Palestine. They cannot manage a developmental Government in a peaceful economy. They are composed of fighters and people steeped in matry ideology who cannot function without fighting, killing or getting killed. They recruit youths using ideology and poverty in an economy with more than 70% youth unemployment. When youths are gainfully employed in schooling, business and commerce, Hamas wants the scenario to continue so they can recruit more disillusioned Palestinian youth and trick then to their deaths.

If Palestinians are wise and able, they should get rid of Hamas themselves. Hamas is the major and.principal enemy of their progress as a people.

To those so called Nigerian 'Christians' hailing him on, you should realize that the policies he intends to pursue will affect immigrants from poor countries even non-Muslim ones. Some of you guys are unaware of the current anti-immigration wave sweeping across Europe and it's target at all immigrants regardless of skin color or religion. It's not just the Muslims. Don't be fooled into thinking you will be accepted into Europe because you claim to be 'Christian'. Very soon we will see plane loads full of Nigerian 'Christians' being offloaded at MMA and na then una eye go clear.

Why beat about the bush and try to be manipulative?
When you see visitors that are creating problem for their host, is it not such horrible visitors that are trying to make their host to close his eyes to all visitors? Rather than blame the unruly visitors, you are fabricating a logic and line of reasoning that goes nowhere. Do we condemn the host and tell him he has no right to choose the kind of visitors to allow into his house?

If Muslim immigrants believe their Shariah is superior to the constitution of their host country, then they should go back to their Islamic countries where Shariah is supreme. It is very simple. If Shariah is good it would create heaven on earth in the countries practicing it and who will want to migrate from heaven?

2. I posted my video before you cited your "scholarly" scams. If I recall, I posted the video in order to explain that Zionists Jews were not all gullible enough to ignore that their claim to Palestinian land is based on fairytales and that they know that DNA tests prove that they are just Europeans.
3. You responded to my video by quoting Wikipedia.
4. When I taught you that Wikipedia was not a thing an educated adult would quote, you went and rapidly scrolled through Google to quote whatever "scholarly" Zionist rubbish you could find.
5. I don't know what "paucity" means
6. I told you that I had read (briefly) the mathematical work of Noam Chomsky, you replied and casted doubt in my claim by saying Noam Chomsky is not known for doing any mathematics or logics and that he is a linguist. That is why I posted proof that Noam has done some mathematical work and that he has been invited by some mathematical laboratories to talk about his work. That is a honour most mathematicians don't get to taste.
7. I love how you easily and quickly just twist facts and reality. Us scientists are not as good at deception as you are, keep it up. One day you will be rewarded the Fields medal of deception.

There are sensible people who are going to read these posts and make their own decisions. You hold a point of view that is contrary to facts and choose to label factual evidence as "scam" without providing any credible alternative. Is that how you go about convincing people of your point of view?

My goal is to show your lies and misrepresentations for what they are and that has been achieved.

Stop lying (incidentally that is your moniker) and recieve sense. Good day.

I leave it to other readers on this forum to see and evaluate the paucity of your logic and evidence to support your claims. Grabbing screenshots of quotes by a purported mathematician who admitted to be self taught in the field and not well taught at that. 1. I have actually studied a part of Noam Chomsky's mathematical work (briefly), as a logician. I bet you can't do that.
2. What don't you get in the fact that DNA tests has revealed that European Jews are just Europeans who go to synagogues ?

(What kind of kid lists Wikipedia as "reference" ? Gave you even finished primary school ?)

You supporters of Palestinians and Hamas are funny people. You cited an interview of Noam Chomsky which doesn't even support your claims and I cited Wikipedia entries which actually cited sources which included credible scientific studies to disprove your claims that European Jews have no DNA ancestral links to ancient Israel and the Middle East.

Chomsky is widely acknowledged as a linguist and political activist and not a mathematician or logician, much less a geneticist. In the interview he did not support your claims, so what are you harping on?

While Wikipedia is not perfect, the entries I cited also cited credible sources. Some of them include references I will be listing below. The surprising thing is you have not cited any single credble source and yet want to be taken serious.

you are still begging the question and saying same well know stories. So every country whose lands where taken decades and centuries ago all over the world can begin to start a war to take back their lands? This is obviously your direction.

If you have taken my land because powerful authorities in the past such as the Romans and Ottomans helped you by displacing and persecuting me, when I come back centuries later to reclaim my land and I am stronger than you, you have no moral basis to cry out "land theft". That is what I am saying and it is simple and clear. Your first claim was that the land belonged to the Palestinians and the Jews had no claim to the land and were thieves and that has been shown not to be true!

Whatever allusions to chaos if people are to take back lands from occupiers of decades or centuries, etc are simply allusions. Even in Nigeria we have court cases decided at the Supreme Courts where lands were reverted back to original owners after more than 40 years despite the fact that the occupiers had built houses, farms, companies, etc on the land.
