instead of making it LP vs LP, why not address it as Yoruba vs Yoruba? You're trying to be smart by making it a political party issue. You're not well

Are they both LP members? If yes, then why bring tribe into it or are Yorubas not allowed in LP?

Asking respectfully!

Ribadu. I had so much hope that he would be the one to turn Nigeria around, Gani believed in him too.
But I think he got tired of trying to fight the system from outside, only that now even inside he seems to have changed and become one of them.
It's like they drummed "sense" into him and he gave up the struggle.
I remember when Yaradua and GEJ were hounding him and he escaped an assassination attempt; the Oba Of Lagos, a former police boss and one of his mentors was stylishly advising him to be calming down that his name is not savior ( he didn't use those words, that it was obvious). I ll never forget the picture of him crouching beside the Oba's chair as they talked, while on the run from his would be killers.
Baba seems to have accepted the reality of Nigeria. A man who rejected $15 Million bribe? A bribe given him at 1am with no witnesses, that he could have pocketed. Infact he could have gotten 10 times that from other Governors who were begging him.

It's clear that the current state of Nollywood is underwhelming. The storylines have become predictable and lack depth, making it easy to guess the ending before the movie even starts.

I want to emphasize that my criticism is not directed at any particular tribe, but rather at the industry as a whole. However, I do think that the influx of southwest influence in Nollywood lately has contributed to its decline in global reputation. The industry had gained international recognition and respect when it was all Igbos affairs, but it seems to have lost its way in recent years.

Why must we always be like this?

Guys, read very well before commenting. The money issue emanated from one of HIS PASTORS.

God bless you. The way the title Pastor is even used these days, how are sure the person is even a PASTOR.

People love sensationalism and bad news too much these days.

And so what?

It doesn't stop Trump from tackling all the gays abortion nonsense in the US.

It's like you don't know Trump grin

He is ready to dine with anyone who he thinks will help him and fight anyone ( even family or a 2 year old child ) that he thinks is against him.

He just announced a gay banker as his Secretary of the Treasury; 3rd most powerful post in the Cabinet and head of his Economic team.

If he didn't, I'm sure Trump would have

Even if Trump wanted to ( which I doubt), he would loose the support of his followers and he needs them for at least the next 2 years till the mid term.
If he wants a 3rd term, which he has openly joked about, then he will need their support for all 4 years.
Most Trump followers want to see Biden in jail to gloat at the party and the Democrats.

You see, that's one of the major challenges we, transporters pass through in the hands of those useless and wayward guys who think having a big car has just made them to arrive in Life angry. Bashed the car of one the other day and he came down from his car and start ranting.....Nigha even threatened to break my windscreen grin. It was the banny who was with the mad cow in his car that later calmed him down.......

Some guys dey over do cha, especially when they are with a low budget banny whom they are trying to impress angry

Did you now pay to fix his car or what happened? Or was he at fault?

Go and sin more but I know this guy is very stubborn and manipulative, he'd start writing different narratives to implicate the security forces with the aim to curry public sympathy, especially that of his media colleagues.

Why are Nigerians so hopelessly in love with their oppressors?
Someone will be fighting for the rights of the people and the same people will be mocking them or casting aspersions.

The Sahara Desert is the opposite of Greenland. By the way, it's Greenland that should have have been called Iceland and Iceland Greenland!

From 38,000 feet the Sahara was a beauty to behold. Although I know for those below it's hot like an oven.

Travel / 38,000 Feet Over Greenland & The Sahara Desert by babzo(m): 2:57pm On Nov 28
Mind blowing view over two of the least populated places on Earth.

Greenland : No black man set foot in this country until 1968 when Tété-Michel Kpomassie of Togo visited. The territory ( which belongs to Denmark) is 3 times the size of Nigeria, yet has a population less than that of Ikeja.

67% of the country is almost just mountains and ice.

I am flying over it right now and can see the ice mountains.

She is a Yoruba woman, who is surprised by her betrayal ?. Check her pant, you will see how dirty it is after she has been wearing it for days without washing it like most women from that Sad Waste region.

Talk like this is exactly why Nigeria and Africa may remain the same for decades.
People are addressing with facts what a single woman is doing, you are attacking the tribe of her parents and at the same time de humanizing women.
Why is it so hard to be noble and civil?

In a way it is from his pocket.
He simply could have stolen the money, others did and nothing happened.

Secondly it's just today Friday we heard of the comparison of a road he built in Rivers through Julius Berger vs another road contract just awarded in Edo and one In Bauchi.

Where Wike spent N1 on a stretch of road, Edo and Bauchi are spending like lie x 3 and x 6 for the same stretch of road. Meaning in some states, aside from not even finishing the roads, they are massively inflating the costs.

Did you take time to watch the video? The news says flag off and the content of the video shows it was truly a resemblance of flag off.
If truly he is to mobilize back contractors to the site, does that need any paparazzi as seen in the video.
It's is against public procurement act to award a project not bidded for and not appropriated in the budget.
Nigeria is a constitutional country and leaders ought to abide by the constitution they sworn to uphold and not do things that will undermined the integrity of the constitution.
Let us just pretend it wasn't new road and he just went there to mobilize contractors back to site and as a normal thing in Nigeria, lovers of the governor just quickly arrange the canopy to welcome him home as his first point of assignment buy if not he has erred in law and that is the part why some people call Nigeria zoo. It's only in zoo, animals do whatever they like and even excrete where they sleep.

But basically you are still where we all are, no one is sure at the moment.

It could be publicity for getting an already contracted road back to work,
It could be illegal contract awarded.
It could be all lies.

Until one of these can be confirmed, the guy is working, which should be encouraged, but if just fake then it should be exposed with evidence
Politics / Re: Edo Governor Okpevbolo Flags Off Teboga/UNIBEN Road, Others by babzo(m): 11:09am On Nov 14
Nigerians are hard to understand. Someone was sworn in few days ago and is already "working "and people are still asking did he find the contractor before he was sworn in, when was environmental assessment done?
Couldn't this be a previous contract and he got the contractor to come finish it?
Although I do know that for many politicians, projects are just opportunities to steal.

The sooner we realise that these foreign embassies are using us to cashout the better for us.

In 2023 about 150,000 Nigerians applied for US Visa and according to the US embassy the application fee is about $185 which is about N305k and just over 20% of the 150,000 people that applied were successful, meaning about 120,000 application was rejected which amounts to just over $22M.

Meaning the US embassy in Nigeria made over $22M in 2023 from rejected Visas alone.

If we had a government, every embassy would be ordered to refund all or 90% of all rejected Visa fees. But here we are, we keep making money for these countries while we're still indebted to them via loans.

But we charge them fees too.

A Nigerian in the US recently organized his American Church members ( it's a mostly white Baptist Church) on a trip to Nigeria for charity work.
The Embassy guy demanded $600 per person or no Visa even though Visa fees are officially about $150.

He told me friend that there is nothing he can do but pay up.

This is serious o.
I know at least 2 people having problems with them. One of them shipped multiple items through them.
The ones marked Picked up in Lagos were never Picked by him. The dispute is ongoing
Another friend has items still marked Processing for over a month now.

Do you know why they moved from one State to another?
