Seen a couple of interesting posts. I have the same challenge with a lady in her 30's rite now. how can a lady tell you, your apartment is not good enough. that the roads are not tarred and too much traffic in your area, in a nut shell she is saying she cannot settle for less. I was so bitter about it because this is an apartment I pay 500k per annum, a 2 bed room in Ajah axis. i spend an average of 1,500 to call her daily, she eats out a lot and this is on my bills. I don give am red card because this one go wreck person quick quick. I got the most embarrassing moment in my life when a white colleague of mine and I were in a train travelling from Paris to Brussels. the white guy is from our Spain office and we met at the airport on our way for a course in Brussels, when the train stop at a bus stop & an old woman walked in and there was no seat, surprisingly the white colleague of mine (59 yrs) stood up for the lady to sit and me that was suppose to know better was sitting down. iam a zoology graduate as well and worked in a shipping company. i just got a new role as a supply chain/logistics specialists in a new org,check my testimony caption fellow nairalanders thank you posted in this section. its you that will determine your career path. for me what i did was to get books on finance/accounting/business law/logistics and read , to broaden my knowledge. I also used the internet for enriching myself by visiting educative blogs/sites. |

it would be good to share this as to encourage others.I got an offer with an organisation, a supply chain role with a monthly pay of 500k and other freebies such as a car n driver, 30 days paid vacation,etc. It was a role i had to apply even though the requirements was for those with masters/professional certification in supply chain. Iam a natural science graduate but i just applied and hope i will be invited which happened. called for a assessment test and i came tops in the test,the test was technical/practical in nature and i also came tops in the interview. Just completed my medical(passed)and starting the role in july. I saw the advert in one of the postings in nairaland sometimes last year. Thanks all, i must confess the various postings on nairaland stimulates my reasoning abilities as i look at the logic behind all post good or bad. This project is a waste!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! there are many other projects begging for attention and LASG is using tax payers money to develop a site that will be shared amongst themselves and cronies. This is a class orientated project and if LASG had channelled the same zeal that is used in pursuing this projects into developing other parts of lagos we would have seen the manifestation quickly. We have been hearing the story of 4th mainland bridge for donkey years , notin has been done because this bridge will connects the hinter areas of lagos, rather LASG rushed to build the bridge at lekki phase 1 that will serve the people of ikoyi/lekki phase 1(thier cronies) and to make it difficult for other road users they slam exorbitant toll charges. This bridge is less than 1 km and tax payers money was used to build a bridge that i will be forced to pay toll.Double taxation!!!!!!!!! I stand to be corrected no water board is functional in lekki axis, every house is a local government because you have to provide the basic amenities yourself and iam sure this situations plays itselves out in other parts of Lagos. Agbero's are running the show in lagos and yet they want to deceive themselves that they are building a better lagos,they should first remove the agberos on the streets and ensure other basic amenities can be reached by lagosians then we will know they are serious about building a better lagos. 1 Like |

I learnt over the weekend that my neighbours brother was among the policement killed. so painfull! The younger broda that went to the morgue to identify his corpse said he could not recognise his brother because his head was shattered with machete cuts, it was the clothes he was putting one that was used to identify him. The guy is the first son of the family and breadwinner ,the DAD is late . i feel so bad about this. |
