Buhari mentality is very backward he keep running to world leaders trying to suck up to them but they will advise him by now to trade carefully with Nnamdi kalu or Nigeria will turn to another Libya....he still have the same mentality of many people here threatened to go to war with Biafrans they think this is 1966 era things have changed

without biafra eastern region as a whole will never achieve seaport both in abia and calabar just watch and see in the next few years nothing will happen i dont no how some people can leave comfortable in a complex country like one nigeria that hamper their future economic growth is beyond me.They want their own children to suffer marginalization in that case we should all forget all these development we showcase in the east because the Zoo might turn to Libya in future every infrastructure will be destroyed once we still operate the same system in one nigeria is just a matter of time it will happen....if you like believe who you choose to believe already most part of the north is now a hostile region and you think it will not escalate remember even buhari well respected haus/fulani man by da northerners wast targeted before he become the president of the Zoo

Despite tens of thread with pictures of Biafra agitators and protesters in politics section yet none made front page only to put this stupi.d info about choppers hovering Onitsha. Let me make it clear to all these ofe mmanu dolts here, there was no hovering chopper today in Onitsha, I am presently in Onitsha live. Those pictures are definitely not Onitsha.ave Please you guys should go to politics section and read true happenings in Onitsha which naira land refused to put in front page.

Definitely he did not die in vain, his body will decompose, the Biafran flag will decompose, the wooden coffin will decompose all will make the Nigerian land fertile and rejuvenate.
like how thousands that died in the north since 1999 by religious and tribal clashes their region must be well fertile by now or the region must be curse by God

Is not good enough to be emotional and sentimental abt issues like this, u should ve gone through ur history books very well and have ur facts right b4 putting up ur write up. my questions for u are?

1, who named Igweocha portharcourt?
2, Is portharcourt an Ikwerre or Okirika language?
3, how come SS and SE speak similar languages and bear similar names.
4, why do u ve umuigbo, now know as Rumuigbo in portharcourt?
5, why do we eat the same type of food?
6, why is SS and SE predominantly Christians?

The truth is that we SS and SE people came from the same source forget the sentiment abt oil and gas cos the whole of SS and SE region is filled with oil, Abia, Imo, Anambra, Even Enugu have oil. so say no to divide and rule...

@sammy you are a big liar, The Edo's Itsekiri, Urhobo and ISoko,is related to the Yorubas, you people only have olive oil, not crude oil stop deceiving yourself....Na by force to join UNA struggle, fight for yourself not other tribes...
the way you sound only Lord knows how many times u kneel down look at the sky close your eyes wish you are igbo...
PoliticsRe: Supreme Court Upholds Right of Female Child to Inherit Properties in Igboland by backtosender: 1:24am On Nov 30, 2015
wirinet:
The supreme court is only affirming the Nigerian constitution; which state that nobody should be discriminated against based on sex, tribe, religion, political affiliations and other forms of discrimination. You will agree with me that this custom is highly discriminatory against women. If an Igbo man personally does not want his daughters and wife to inherit a pin when he dies, he should write a will stating so. But if he dies without writing a will, then all his children and wife should sit down and agree how the properties will be shared. And if the man has only daughters, then they and the wife should inherit the properties, instead of vultured eyes brothers descending on the properties of the man, leaving his family out in the cold.
You made a good point
PoliticsRe: Supreme Court Upholds Right of Female Child to Inherit Properties in Igboland by backtosender: 12:52am On Nov 30, 2015
The court must be losing focus on how and when to involve themselves with the law of the land.........some igbo men can play gigolo very well thereby hope to catch an igbo girl from rich background that way he will be sorted hopefully his in laws will give him millions of naira to start life cheesy it happen in so many occasions which i can attest to it...fine boy with sweet tongue but unfortunately he got too many holes in his pockets before you no it the babe eye don catch am she will go for the looks from there she get hooked like a cat fish....... before you no it he don give am belle her father will not have option than arrange marriage sponsor the whole thing on-top.... after she will run to her daddy complaining that her husband is jobless those marriages never last daddy will now invite the young man ask him what he want t do with his life, young man will say Oga i want to do import and export oga will say ok give me your business plan straight he provide business plan.... Oga will now ask him so how much do you need?he will give oga quotations let say 18 million naira in the processes of try to act like a big boy drive good cars, carry different babes different hotels before you no it 8 million don go,by then guy is still wondering what to do with the remaining balance....in the same process looking for what to do another 1.8 milla don go chap chap.... now when things are getting desperate he will now meet some idiots friends that will bring some useless business advice.... advice him to put the money there he will make big bucks the whole thing will go from one yeye business to another after a yr and 3 months back to square one....
The poor girl go don born pikin next thing she will run back again to her father for help........in igboland the women have their own share but anything she inherited must be on her name so even if she marry a man that struggle she will be alright because she is getting her on quota from the family tree

How Obiano quelled Nkpor New Auto Spare Parts Market leadership crisis

on November 25, 2015 /
ONITSHA —THE prompt intervention of Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State, weekend, saved what could have led to loss of lives and property following a bloody leadership crisis rocking the New Auto Spare Parts Market, Nkpor in Idemili North Local Government Area of the state.

Obiano acknowledging cheers from his supporters at a recent function in the state
The week- old crisis was sparked off when the state government, in conjunction with the executive of Anambra Markets Amalgamated Traders Association, AMATAS, an umbrella association of the traders in the state, announced their decision to set up a caretaker committee to run the affairs of the market, following the expiration of the Emmanuel Uko-led executive of the market, but the traders revolted vehemently on the grounds that they preferred a democratically elected leadership to a caretaker arrangement, insisting that an election must be conducted.

The fracas, which began at the New Auto Spare Parts Market, later spread to other markets in the vicinity until Obiano waded into the matter by convening an emergency meeting of the stakeholders in the markets which brought the situation under control at least for now.

At the commencement of the crisis which paralyzed commercial activities in Onitsha, the commercial hub of the state, the traders protested against what they described as an alleged imposition of a caretaker committee leadership on them by the state government and AMATAS.

Armed with their placards, with inscriptions such as, ‘We do not need caretaker committee in the New Auto Spare Parts Market, AMATAS,’ ‘Leave our market to have peaceful election,’ ‘Only traders who own shops in this market are qualified to contest election,’ ‘Governor Obiano, caution your Commissioner for Trade and Commerce,’ and ‘Anambra Commissioner for Trade and Commerce wants to cause crisis in our peaceful market.’ The traders maintained that the market had no crisis to warrant the planned installation of a caretaker committee by the state government and AMATAS to run the affairs of the market.

As they were insisting that they preferred elections to pick their leaders and not an imposition of a caretaker committee, the Board of Trustees, BoT, of the market had to quickly seal the union’s secretariat to avoid an untoward action. The union’s secretariat remained sealed until Governor Obiano convened the close-door meeting held at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia, presided over by Obiano himself.

In attendance at the meeting were the state Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Commerce, Ifeatu Onejeme and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Matters, Chief Chikodi Anaran from the side of the government, while the Chairman of the BoT, Chief Mike Emerah represented the traders.

At the end of the meeting, both parties resolved that following the expiration of the tenure of Mr. Emmanuel Uko-led executive, a care-taker committee be put in place to run the affairs of the market for only one month, during which an election of new executive would be conducted to usher in a new democratically elected executive of the market.

Speaking shortly after the meeting, Emerah, commended Governor Obiano for the peace initiative and attributed the crisis in the market to the attitude of some market executives who always refused to vacate their seats at the expiration of their tenure.

He, therefore, urged future leaders in the market to imbibe democratic culture by leaving the stage when the ovation was loudest, meaning that they should conduct an election as soon as their tenure expires and handover leadership to their successors, for peaceful co-existence.

I think this is how our mentality had always been we hate cheating gov Obiano can generate enough revenues from these guys just the same way fashola was milking them in lagos......obiano should continue with his magnificent job trust me he will generate billions from all these guys once they are happy with his performance
