The easiest way to connect any receiver to the net is by the use of 3g router. some of the routers comes with their modems inbuilt while others u need to buy any of the usb modem out their to connect to the router. The router must have lan port where u will connect your rj45 cable to the receiver.

Some expert on computer can configure their laptops to share internet with the receiver.

May be what is left in the post I made is to come and track the satellite for u. I gave u frequency,position and what am using to clear it,u are still not satisfied. Am not surprise with just 13 post,most of which are question no contribution

If u have 2.6m dish u can nail Digial Alb package in lagos. I use this TP: 10758v 27500. Its on w2 16 degree east just 3 degree above hotbird. The package is good,I got supersport 1-5 and host of others. All the sport are clear with cardsharing.

If u have mpeg4 decoder rescan your w4/7,there are goodies there. Sport,music,movie,news,religion etc

Hello,please I have huawie E160 modem,unlocked,it worked with mtn,airtel and etisalat. But when I put glo after putting the Apn,user name and password,It will not connect and it gives this message: error 619 connection to the remote computer could not be established,so the port use for the connection was closed.

Please note that these channels are not going to be free for long,dstv is testing it mpeg4 platform for final migration b4 the end of the year. The software is free online. Download it,unzip it to a usb,put the usb into the decoder,go to,menu,usb,software tranfer,u will see the software. But make sure u use gen not nepa.

will think twice before buying the 4900 and 4910 though. a lot of complaints from people using cccam on it, it tends to overheat and freeze.

In additiom,if u need a receiver for cardsharing purpose,go for dreambox,if u dont have enough money go for other receivers like openbox,skybox hd,tlink600hd,xcruiser 400 hd,vu+,Az box etc. strong has some factory related problem in some of the 4900 and 4910 series. so for now stay away from them.

I know a lot of people have issue strong warning in the past concerning purchase of provider decoders. I dont know why people will go for infinity and co decoders,when strong is just 13 to 14k. If you are buying infinity for infinity alone no wahala.,but for free to air bases,is not good. Upon all these advise,people will go ahead and buy and come to the forum looking for software. Daarsat is enough a lesson

The controversy raging on the forum concerning wether a the service rendered by twinskenny should be free or not should not arise in the first place if the relationship is defined.

Even though I instal,I still pay money to installers to assist when am busy or tired. The issue of wether the job is just to do factory reset does not arise. Twinskenny must have tried alot of possiblities b4 arriving at that solution. In instalation what will take u 5minutes can also take u one day. Infinity that takes me 5 minute took me 6 hours last month some where.

Even if the person is close to u,u need to give him transport after installation

I am a COMPLETE novice, here is what I want: To watch EPL via fta.

I was told by a local installer here in Benin city that an HD decoder would do the job when used with a 3.5M dish.
He claimed that I could watch EPL on AD sports channel on nilesat and nova channel on hotbird.

1. Is this true? Can I watch EPL with an HD decoder on nilesat with a 3.5M dish in Benin city?
2. Do I need anything else (because another person mentioned "microbox", though the guy also said "microbox" was unreliable.
3. Another option I was told is that I should have a modem equipped with a sim card combined with some other devices bla bla bla

The result is that I am thoroughly confused. I have noticed that most of the installers dont seem to know what they are doing cos one tells me exacly what the other says does not work!

I have spent money on these guys, yet no show! I am left with a 3.5m dish and a 4669 strong decoder and I can barely get more channels than multitv was giving me with a small dish for a fraction of acquisition cost.

Pls nairaland gurus make una come to my aid!!
