Please is anyone in lagos axis experiencing drop on the signal drop on w2 cband? Mine has been down for a week now.

On the instalation of nile with 2.4m,all u need is patient and the rigth tools. For a starter,use srt 4650 for the tracking. Tracking with 53x and 63x is misleading sometime. Example Nss 7 ku,if u get 90% on 52,by the time u use 63x you will get 97% and at 90% you may not hit nile. on 52 you need to hit at least 97% to get nile.  The dish must have been coupled by an expert. Not coupling dish well may lead to significant loss of signal. You have to also understand that the lnb that works for mr A may not work for mr. B. Some time you try more LNBs. In general you should be able to atleast 200 channels in lagos with 2.4m

Congrat for tracking nile on your first attemp. Before I come try to adjust the focal length very well. i.e either in or out. The problem with fibre dish is the adjustment of the focal length. Try to bring the hand in small or out and observe the results well.

To master tracking very well,u need a dish of your own. this should be atleast 1.8m so that you can try as many posititions as possible

For those who are having the problem of tracking w2,it is on 10 degree east,so the dish will not be facing east directly,the dish will be facing the sky diectly but a little slant to the west. Just an inch below w3

The minimum dish you need for w2 is 1.8m dish either fixed or motorised.

We are only casticating hitv and co,what of the so called Daarsat that came to market to reap nigerians of their hard earned money and disappear.

This can only happen in nigeria. Some bougth the decoder for 40k

I used strong k-5 lnb but only one tp moved,the lnb is not even the one in the middle,the one beside. u know am using 3 lnb on the dish. Which decoder are u using to track?

I dont think you can get arabsat i.e badr 26degree with 2.4 in lagos. The easiest satellite you can get is eurobird 25.5 degree east. Almos all channels are blocked.

I was able to track w2 10 degree east with my 1.8. this tp was 100% 3937v 8800. but i could not get the second tp

I see this issue of premierleague right in naija from two angles: What hitv is charging is not the cheapest in the world. First, you dont compare the prices of services in different countries on the same quefficient. You have to put alot of factors into consideration,like wages,tax,cost of doing business etc. In nigeria,apart from power all other components of the cost are cheap. Aljazeera charges less than 50 doller for a year for it package i.e about N7,500.00. with good picture quality and commentries.

On the other hand,ctl has no rigth to air EPL in nigeria that amount to piracy. They are supposed to negotiate with HITV for rebrodcasting. Using showtime or any other package in naija to air Epl is illegal.

At 6k it is ok but the quality of the service and even the quantity is poor. Most pay tv I know have more than Two TPs,but hitv has only 2 with less than 30 channels. Pay tv is only about football,it goes beyond that. Up till now even with Epl they cant match the power of DSTV. Remove Epl,N1500 DSTV is better than 6k Hitv. Instead of wasting my money to watch hinolly I better watch cine africa for free.

In nigeria we are used to midiocrity,a person that is suppose to perform up to 80% once he achieve 15% we will start clapping. Hitv should sit down to perfect it act together instead of chasing the small rats

@All. The diseqc is working fine and the settings are ok on all the ports.When the other signals goes off, i still have dstv signal. I think i will try the dual lnb stuff and see. @Microgiant. I am jealous o. Three live epl matches, i watch only one. Abeg what are the size of your dishes and which satellites. Bros arrange me fast.

Replace the diseq switch,I had that experience sometime ago. Some diseq start misbehaving once you connect more than 2 lnbs

Astra 2b is gottable in naija,I cant say of southern nigeria becouse I ve not tried it here. In the north,I used to get over 100 channels of sky uk including sky sports with 1.8 motorised. The channels u can get in nigeria are all scrambled.

I tracked my 3m fibre yesterday as promised with the quad digisat lnb but no luck with nilesat. 11785v (dubai one) could only manage up to 53% quality. 11747v (education) only managed to flash while 11763h (bbc) was totally red. After trying for sometime, I had to change back to my old, reliable fuji lnb.

Looks like for fibre dishes, fuji remains the best-especailly for dish sizes 3m and below.

However, I will extend my search to echosat quad and see what gives. This fibre lnb yanga tolotolo na wao!

All those asking about dreambox should note that buying the decoder is not enough for you to watch encrypted channels. You need a good internet connection and pay for a server that will give u the access. Xcept u a good FTA addict it is better you stick to the normal fta decoder.

Conservatively u need to spend 10k a month to enjoy the full functions of dreambox. I.e 6k for internet,preferably swift or starcomms broadband and 4k a month for the cardsharing server. For u to enjoy it also u need at least 3m dish motorised to pick pas7/10 c-band,hotbird and nilesat.

If you can afford the above luxury then,you will be the king of Fta

If you have problem of signal with astra 28 degree,just off and on your decoder,the green will pop up.

Also those watching pas 7/10 c-band should rescan,e south africa is on

If u are receiving arabsat 30.5 degree east on ur dish,rescan 4120v 27500 jsc 5-8 and espn are added now

I only encounter the same problem when i connect using cable but when I use blutooth it will connect.
