Cos almost anytime I'm actually recommending shows, I always dropped disclaimers that I haven't watched a few or identify them individually.

Apparently I cannot watch about 60-70% of a 26 episode anime in about 6 months?

As if watching the live action series is not enough reason to decide to watch the original anime

The reason I didn't finish is cos it's episodic...

No matter how good a show is...if it's episodic, it's a turn off...I've said it many times


And I've never said Cowboy Bebop is on the level of AOT...
only 1 anime I've ever placed on AOT'S level...

Designated Survivor never had any direction from the start.
I've said it here that I personally hate shows without direction

They just come up with a catchy premise, a character to tie in viewers and earn whatever they can while it lasts...
No long term plan, no plan for the plot...it's all as the spirit leads

It was obvious from season 1...tho they kept trying to do 1 or 2 things, I stayed because of Kiefer Sutherland...but by Season 2 I dipped

We were discussing about the best decades of TV shows and movies. And I brought some shows I HAVE WATCHED and a few I knew the consensus is they're great shows. I mentioned top shows most people watched of those individual decades.

So get your facts right. If I've watched 80% of the shows there, I wonder how it negates the credibility of a general POV of a particular decade.

If you have a problem with that... I don't know what to say to you.

And I know you're claiming I'm defending shows I haven't watched is from the previous argument of The Wire.
Where I had an issue with is you claiming the reviews for it didn't give reasons or nuances why one needs to see it. Which I countered.
I also clearly said I haven't watched it then, which also you had not seen and we were arguing based on feelings about reviews.

The reality is that you only rate movies/series highly cos Critics rate them highly...
Instead of thinking for yourself and giving it the rating you think it deserves...you follow whatever critics tell you...

That's why you didn't even bother to put a disclaimer stating that you hadn't watched those movies. Because you swallowed what critics said hook, line and sinker...and you quickly tagged them as some of the best shows in 2010s

In fact I would prefer those who said Everything Everywhere All At Once is terrible...

At the very least they are thinking for themselves and not following critics up and down

I've watched majority of the shows I put out there. The few ones I haven't watched, I already researched them and have them on my watchlist for years. Just don't have the time for it yet. And if you see me recommending it to someone else, I know I'm also definitely gonna enjoy it. I'm that good knowing what I'll love and what I want.

Even at that, there's hardly any show there you'd argue won't make a top 20 best show of its decade or genre. Some are even in all time bests.

Even in my wording, I explicitly said critics and audience reviews, but because of your agenda you purposely ignored that and want to shout critics superiority complex etc.

In my experience, critics are the best bet in gauging how good a film is, cos most of them actually have film critiquing as their career which is different from you as a casual watcher. They see tons of projects every year.
I've rarely ever seen a TV show/movie that has a 80-90% critic score that was bad. The least it could do is be 7/10 rating iny books.
So na you know your gripes with it.
And I also mentioned audience — People I know who I take their word for it when they say something is good based on their past records and my tastes.


Just like how you were mouthing off few hours ago that you don't understand how people called "Everything Everywhere All At Once" a trashy film despite it cleaning all the major awards at the Oscars.
It's different with everybody. If critics opinions were negligible nobody would be so bothered about Emmys, Oscars, BAFTAs, Golden Globes etc....
I'm yet to see an Oscar nominated film that is totally useless or trashy.

You can cry and shout you don't care about critics opinions but there are tons of people that do.

If you have a problem with sieving through critics talk and actually getting reliable info, that's on you.

When you wrote that list I assumed they were all shows you've seen...only to be disappointed that despite your very high regard for them, all you have about them is mere "hearsay"

I was honestly about to screenshot the list and take it seriously until I realized that...

At the end of the day, it's your choice...I just can't imagine myself hyping off a show as one of the best when I haven't seen it myself

That's why when I make lists of top tier shows or movies...I always skip those that are "hearsay"

The way some people worship critics is just funny...

Most critics are just average everyday people watch movies and just have maybe one small movie review blog

Their reviews are no better than the Audience...I've seen loads of terrible "Critic" reviews

They are not of a higher breed...they are just like you and I...
Most don't even have anything special in their blogs...they write the same way any of us can if that was our line of work...

Only a few of them actually write tangible/special reviews in their blogs...

I've checked some of the blogs of these "critics" from IMDB and the likes...


Those your average Twitter reviewers that you see have very shîtty opinion on movies/series, if they had one small blog, they could easily apply to become critics for all these rating sites...

TIL they are making a fourth Expendables movie. I’m not anticipating it but will definitely watch it.

the problem with making another Expendables movie is that most of the cast are too old to act a serious mercenary/military action flicks

The last movie was in 2014, almost 10 years ago...they were already on their last legs then, now they can no longer pull it off

Except the replace most of the cast, but who will they replace them with?

Hollywood is seriously lacking actors that can fill those roles...

The Expendables is not just a bunch of action stars but a bunch of hardcore action stars...tough men...

Apart from Jason Statham and maybe 1 or 2 other people, who else can fill the roles?

I feel the main issue is movies from this decade — the 2020s.

But the irony of it is in my opinion when it comes to TV shows, the opposite is the case. I feel TV shows coming out in the late 2010s and this era are the best era of all time for TV shows.

I don't think TV shows of the 90s and 2000s can match the all-round quality of the 2010s.
2010s to me is the UNDISPUTED GOAT in terms of TV entertainment quality of all time.

The reason is that no show is flawless...if a show does what it's marketing so well and is also very entertaining...and it's enough to cover its flaws, 10/10 it is for me

The main character has so much plot armor that she should have died since episode 1 and other characters act stûpid

But here I am, downloading episode after episode cos I can't wait for night to use night plan


I'm at episode 5 already, so far it has a way better start than Breaking Bad...
