Vinland Saga is top tier anime but not AOT level...

There are only a handful of shows/ TV series I would put anywhere near AOT level when it comes to story, depth etc

I entered an AOT discourse with my friend today and we spent hours discussing a lot of elements regarding characters, options and even meaning of different dialogue


One particular line that Eren said in latest episode to a kid has spun serious debate and arguments on Twitter, reddit, tiktok etc...
You can't analyze that line without using various scenes right from episode 1 of AOT even down to many other scenes throughout the show...


Anyway the Farmland Saga arc of Vinland Saga is so peak...but some people who watch Vinland Saga for action alone are calling the arc boring...wtf

Those people don't understand Vinland Saga...imagine thinking the show is just ordinary Vikings fighting

There is one particular page that worries me...

It hints at a big plot twist in the final chapter...
It wasn't confirmed but it infers that plot twist...
it works thematically but wasn't fully explained as it's only 1 page...
And it causes lots of problems to the story imo

I know Isayama apologized for not being able to properly convey the story he wanted to tell in the final chapter...so I hope he fixes it for the anime

Just like how he fixed the Uprising Arc in the anime.
The entire arc was re-written in the anime...

The final chapter of AOT needs some re-write...
Not major changes but dialogue rewrites...
That page in particular needs to be removed...it adds more problems than advantages

The plot twist has been foreshadowed twice already...but if it's executed the same way as the manga, it will lead to viewers coming up with multiple interpretations

Too goated fam. The character development arc and world building was something else. Loved every episode even the fillers.

I remember when new episodes use to drop early hours of Thursday morning, me and my G's will keep vigil to download and see it before class so we can all dissect it.

Glorious opening songs and OST too.

I think it was it and "One piece' at the time, that was the benchmark of the Nigerian anime fandom. It was like a compulsory course, that was the top recommendation to begin one's anime journey in this clime.

yep. Naruto was my first ever anime.

Anime was weird japanese stuff to me then...until a friend forced me to watch it...
It was season 4 I think...I rewatched that season like 10 times...

Then I caught up and started watching weekly...

From there on, I started watching other anime like Samurai X, Sword Art Online...and Attack on Titan back in 2013

Naruto was too goated. The power system was the best and most detailed I had seen then...
Back then I was only used to X-Men, Batman, Superman stuff before...

The power system and world of Naruto blew my mind. Even the battles and strategies of smart characters like Shikamaru, Itachi, Kakashi, etc blew my mind...

I remembered all the songs Sha...so many...
Epic fights like Gaara v Lee


I still maintain to this day that NARUTO has the best fights in fiction.

It's not about flashy lights, the fight choreography in Naruto is too good...and the fights are so versatile...
There is always some new move, new technique, strategy etc to the fights

After seeing the ratings and i went ahead to watch it, it was never going to be a good investment to do a season 2 it was too lame

well...
Luckily I only watch top tier shows...

So I can't relate...
I tend to skip most average shows... except the few I fell for the trailer hype...like Wednesday

It's not a bad series but there is nothing great or specular about it. Most of the times it's even boring.

The last of us entire season 1 is 6.5/10 for me.

To be sincere, out of the 9 episodes, only about 5 to 6 makes sense, the rest are just unnecessary episodes.

They probably should have just made the series 5 episodes or 6.

Honestly there is nothing interesting or great about the series, no thrill, no talking point.

The only thing that got the series going are the two main casts and that's all, it's why i even stuck around to complete it because i just love seeing the faces of both the man and the girl.

They should add more action, more fights,gun battles, war, zombies to the season 2 and if possible change the girl to a more mature lady that can fight, good with guns and karate.

The young little girl is a great actress but the season 2 needs a more mature lady for a more fierce scenes and battles.

Florence Pugh should be a better and the most appropriate replacement of little Ellie.

She is strong, can fight and can do more fierce scenes just like she did great in black widow.

I like the little Ellie but let's be frank and sincere, we need a more mature Ellie that's why i suggested Florence Pugh.

Better Call Saul....season 1....10/10


This show is so well written...characters are all incredible. And it's so entertaining to watch.

The plot twist/ betrayal reveal towards the end of S1 is crazy...while I suspected his brother very early on...I quickly moved on and I never saw that reveal coming...

Last night and even this morning, I was thinking about it so much...the betrayal really hurt me so much with everything Jimmy/Saul had done for his brother

The show shows how much Jimmy struggles to remain in the good side of the law...but he is constantly tempted and driven over the edge on different occasions and he even succumbs to it.

Another aspect I loved was the focus on Mike. I always wanted more exploration on Mike in Breaking Bad but never got this. I'm glad Better Call Saul did the right thing by giving Mike more character moments and screentime

So far I can say confidently:
Better Call Saul Season 1 >>>>>>> Breaking Bad S1
And it's by far...not even a contest

We were discussing the best DECADES from the 90s to the 2020s. And I mentioned some shows that belongs to the decades I believe was the best.
There's no way you'd mention the 2010s without name-dropping Game of Thrones, The Breaking Bad and Homeland whether you've watched them or not. These are shows that defined that era.

It's also well known here that I haven't watched Breaking Bad up till now even tho I hold it in high regard. So which nonsense you dey drag since yesterday night.
