Ballzproblem2:that's fair enough... I was just pointing out that his primary reason wasn't to save his people...he did it mainly for himself first and then his people I also love how Reiner and Armin theorized that Eren was suffering...the weight of his sins affecting him... At the same time, he was giving them a choice... Whether to stop him or not? To see what they would choose. That's why Reiner said maybe deep down, Eren wanted to be stopped by his friends |
in addition to the above post... I just had to clarify that because a lot of casual fans simply think of Eren as a hero turning evil to save his friends... While that is true...it is merely a layer of his character...and not his primary reason for the Rumbling In all Eren did the Rumbling for several reasons: His childish obsession with Freedom To enable his friends live long lives To end the Titan curse I hope the post I made above post clarifies things for y'all... although you're free to disagree and you are free to support Eren Ballzproblem2 armadeo oyaskii ab221 |

Every AOT fan should actually read this...my short analysis There gave been different analysis of the character of Eren Yeager. This is a character with so much layers that people mix up what is on the surface with what is within. It doesn't help that he lies a lot. He's been confirmed to lie to Armin, Mikasa, Floch, Zeke etc so different characters have different idea of what he's thinking Zeke thought he supported the Euthanasia plan, after the betrayal, Zeke believed he was manipulated by Grisha Armin and Mikasa once thought Eren was manipulated by Zeke too But here is my short opinion on his character To do this, I'll separate the truth from the lies. The only time Eren is truly honest in season 4 so far is when he was speaking to Ramzi...the refugee kid who couldn't even understand him. Even Isayama has confirmed this that it is the true Eren...what he confirmed was Eren in chapter 139 which chapter 139 occured in the same time period as chapter 131 which is when he spoke to Ramzi in the latest episode At that point Eren was at his lowest point, overcome with self hatred and guilt for what he's about to do But he still does it. Not because he is forced to (some people falsely believe Eren had no choice...that is false) Eren knew he would save Ramzi from those oppressing and beating him, and he still decided to do it Eren knew he would end up killing Ramzi...and he still decided to do it... Eren did things cos he wanted to... Because of his childhood obsession with Freedom. It all started from his birth up to his dreams and Armin's book... No doubt, part of his reason is still to make his friends live long lives. But if that was the main reason, he wouldn't allow his actions put them in danger... This is the same way ending the Titan Curse is a secondary reason and not a primary reason for the Rumbling... Eren is obsessed with his twisted idea of what freedom entails... Here is what he said to Ramzi: "To save the Island...to save Eldia... But there is more to this... The Reality of the World Outside the Walls was different from the world I dreamed of... It was different from the world I saw in Armin's book... When I learnt that humanity was alive outside the walls...I was disappointed" If you tie this back to Kenny Ackerman's speech in Season 3 that "Everyone is a slave to something" What I'm saying in summary is that Eren is a slave to his meaning of "Freedom" without even realizing it himself That is why at the end of the latest episode, Armin asks Eren: "In what way are you free?"

As much as I love One Piece, it does have its flaws... And for me some of the major ones are how repititive some arcs are... The main cast too follow the same pattern once they land on an Island Another one is lack of deaths and character designs Lack of deaths really kill the stakes for me the shows... Every show has plot armor, and I don't mind that...but when it's made apparent that no one can die...(except Ace)...it kills the stakes to me even when characters are in a bad situation E.g if Nami were to face Kaido...I know she'd get beaten but she won't die... That kills stakes |
Wainey:Naruto did not deem himself worthy of being a Hokage if he cannot save his best friend... That was clear from the series... It was a personal goal and not unnecessary Sakura was always a bîtch...Sasuke even made that clear in like episode 3 or so Even after she tried learning to redeem herself she still made several wrong choices even when she had good intentions... She made these wrong choices cos she failed to understand both Naruto and Sasuke...that is a character flaw...not bad writing... Because the story itself acknowledges it... I hate Sakura too but that's not a writing flaw Anybody can write Naruto? What? Even the story aside...look at the lore alone...all the concepts inspired from different mythologies... Naruto also created some of the most iconic characters and villains in anime What about shinobi battle strategies and tactics...? Or powers? I think you're letting the flaws of the War Arc and Boruto blind you... If not for these arcs, no one would say shiit about Naruto |
Despite the fact that due to some beef, some Arab One Piece fans on Twitter and Facebook were creating over 500 accounts to downvote the episode with 1 Star even before it aired... The ratings are still good
|
What do people gain from this? This dude created over 500 accounts just to give 1 Star rating to an episode even before it aired... And some of his followers did the same All because of online beef with fans of the show

As for Bleach, I have to say that Ichigo's goal is to protect his friends What path exactly is he to take to do that? Ichigo's main goal is the reason why the events around him move the plot and not Ichigo himself... If nothing happens, Ichigo will stay who he is...happy and chilling with his friends while being a substitute shinigami Just because a main character's goal does not make for a definite plot, that does not mean the author does not plan things out Ichigo doesn't start events...rather he reacts to events That is not bad writing... Because not all stories must follow the same pattern of writing |
Wainey:I agree slightly with Bleach... Why slightly is cos there is still some pretty good foreshadowing in Bleach... So it's hard to say the mangaka didn't have a plan, just that it wasn't as solid But I vastly disagree about Naruto. There was a clear path with Naruto. And Naruto should not have ended after the Pain Arc...that doesn't even make sense at all... There was still so much to resolve And Naruto does not follow the conventional storytelling method that One Piece follows... The path to be recognized by his village is not the same path as to be a Pirate King and get the One Piece Getting the One Piece, there is at least some clear path, e.g getting a crew, crossing to the Grand Line, finding the poneglyphs etc In Naruto, what is the clear path that being accepted, recognized or valued by your villagers? Naruto chose to be a Hokage...what is the clear path to be an Hokage? Naruto's dream did not have a clear path of achievement and so the story can never have a clear route to achieve it... Compare that to One Piece and ATLA who literally have their path spelt out to them Naruto's problem was from the War arc... particularly the later parts... Every other thing before that was solid writing and planned... It was clearly foreshadowed... everything from the Akatsuki to Itachi... Even to Naruto and Sasuke's Fate was clearly foreshadowed... All the symbolism about even their battle at the Waterfall of Truth People nowadays tend to disrespect Naruto cos of the War arc...and while I agree it was a mess...it doesn't change how good everything before it was Another criticism I consider invalid is the take about "side characters" Again this is very worthless criticism as some people chose to overestimate the importance of these characters. People like Shino, Choji, Lee were never meant to play a major part of the story... They played their part in bringing up the main characters but that's it...they are merely colleagues and side characters Their role can literally be compared to the many other side characters Luffy met in various Islands that were important in one arc and were gone by the next arc The main cast was always Team 7...that has never changed...and after they passed the roles of their colleagues ....they moved on to being influenced by other characters like the Akatsuki and other shinobi from different villages The 3rd invalid criticism is World Building Naruto has good world building but not top tier and it does not need to be top tier...it was adequate and that is enough I've said this before that world building just for the sake of world building is pointless and a waste of time if it adds nothing to the story Naruto is not an adventure or travel story. Almost the entire part 1 took place in Konoha or Land of Fire It's pointless to develop 1 million cultures of places that were never visited... When these other villages actually had roles to play, e.g during the Pain Arc and the Kage Meeting Arc, then they were developed to the extent necessary and even most had their past/present leaders and past/present policies or practices developed If you recall, neither Naruto nor the main cast visited most of these places... Compare that to One Piece where they travel from Island to Island |
