Been putting it off for a while, until I saw a Reddit comment...now I'm hooked on the show...

The songs are so good that I checked for a song on YouTube and found major spoilers on the playlist.

Anyway, title - THE ROSE OF VERSAILLES (1979) anime series.

It seems to be mostly historically accurate and follows the events leading up to the French Revolution.

I won't Google much on the French revolution until I finish the show to avoid spoilers

Daemon never ordered the killing of of that boy. He told them to kill Aemond, if you watch that scene again, he even warned them that Aemond is a good fighter, so they shouldn't underestimate him. They, (being idiots) mistook his stance of a son for a son as meaning any son will do.

Her perspective and the perspective of any one of the greens is obvious. I even forgot the assassin confessed.

Daemon ordered assassins to go into their home. And even told the assassin it was a son for a son if they couldn't find Aemond.

No matter how you spin this, from Helaena's perspective, Daemon was the cause of Jaehaerys' death. But after how many episodes she has forgotten Jaehaerys existed.

Imagine oh. .when the assassins sent by Daemon put a knife to her children and ended up beheading her son

You just can't excuse the bad writing

Alicent would have done anything to protect her children when they were little and innocent. Now they're all grown up. One is stupid, the other is impulsive and suffers from massive inferiority complex, and the daughter is just a weakling that is good for nothing aside spreading her legs and birthing babies.

What a take!!
Wasn't it Alicent who trained them that way? Wasn't it Alicent who convinced Aegon who didn't even want the throne that Rhaenyra would kill him and siblings if she got the throne?

But now she betrays the same children she trained that way? And for what?

To feel good for herself and with Rhaenyra?

What kind of mother agrees to the murder of her children? Alicent must be the worst mother of the year.

It's clearly just bad writing to favour the Rhaenyra-Alicent ship. From their interviews, the writers seem more interested in their ship than in the story

Everybody obviously forgets the real devil so far, has been Otto Hightower, who has been plotting and plotting to plant his seed on the Iron Throne. This is what Alicent later realized when she approached Rhaenyra and was suing for peace.

Otto Hightower is out of the game. Why would Alicent even care about him now?

Alicent trained her children that way. She obviously has a lot of blame too.

What yeye peace is Alicent suing for? Peace after both sides have lost kids?

Peace at the cost of her own children's lives? The point of the blood and cheese was that they had gone past that stage.

The Alicent Rhaenyra meeting in the finale is as poorly written as their previous meeting in episode 3.

It's like both characters are just written to be so stûpid all for the writers to promote their useless Rhaenyra-Alicent ship.

Feels like some wattpad-level writing.

What about the complaints of the character assassination of Helaena and Alicent?
Why won't you address that since you want to defend it?

Why won't you address the fact that 1/3 of the episode was wasted on a Tyland adventure and his mud Fight

1. Helaena wins mother of the month for forgetting that Daemon ordered the beheading of her son Jaehaerys.
(Daemon is sworn to Rhaenyra so no excuse would fly here)


2. Alicent from season 1 would actually do anything to protect her children. Now she is selling them out and accepting the murder of her children.
She also somehow forgot her grandson Jaehaerys existed and he doesn't count in "a son for a son"


3. The writers telling us House of the Dragon is about the Rhaenyra and Alicent ship.
Forgive me for not understanding before that House of the Dragon is about "two women trying to figure it out"

I think seasons 3 and 4 should be good...

From what I heard, there is still quite a lot of source material to cover because it has been placed slowly in season 2.

So the next 2 seasons will likely be nonstop war...

But I don't have much faith in the writing nevertheless...this season's writing has been disappointing and there's no guarantee it would improve...

At least the pace should I guess

I generally dislike anime but i enjoyed this one.

Weirdly I never completed this anime.
I enjoyed it but I got extremely busy Midway and I couldn't watch any movie or series for a few weeks.

It was tiring to return to it because it was a bit complicated and I would have to restart the entire thing to continue it

House of the Dragon season 2........6/10


An underwhelming finale to an underwhelming season.
"If filler was a season" is the best way to describe this season. The entire season could be summed up in a single email or text message...


Season 1 ended to a build up to a war...
Season 2 wasted 8 episodes still building up to the same war...

I finished the finale and I was like - "that's it?"

Even this finale had so much time wasted on pointless stuff. They spent so much time with Tyland Lannister forming a bond with Lohar that I began to wonder what was the point?
Who cares if she wants his babies?
This is not the sort of "fûcked up stuff" we wanted in the finale. It reminded me of The Boys season 4 filler events.


One point that bothers me the most is Alicent. I don't want to conclude yet on Alicent because I'm not convinced of her game plan yet.

If I am to believe what she said on screen, it will be an utter character assassination. I kept waiting for a smirk or something to allude that she has other plans and did not just choose to sacrifice her family and her son...

So I will put that on hold hoping that some kind of reveal of an Alicent masterplan is shown next season.

The show seems so dedicated to portray Alicent and Rhaenyra as innocent but slightly corrupted souls who are some sort of pacifists that value human life above all else...

It comes off as lazy character writing to see Rhaenyra being so deluded to be expecting her enemies to surrender just because she has more dragons...
What happened to Rhaenyra's rage at the end of season one?

Why is this show so insistent on making the two main females pacifists while the men crave bloodshed?

Helaena smiling at her son's killer. I've forgotten the baby's name, I guess Helaena and the writers forgot too. Even Rhaenyra and Alicent forgot too since Rhaenyra said - "a son for a son".
A baby doesn't count as a son I guess...or is it grandson?


Let's not even talk about how Daemon was wasted all season hallucinating in Harrenhal. His issues were finally resolved with some magical vision?? Well...

And the way characters somehow travel from place to place in the blink of an eye. The excuse they'd use is dragons. But not everyone has a dragon. This show is mastering Game of Thrones season 8 levels of teleportation.
(Teleportation not the writing in general)


Overall a disappointing season with no payoffs. The writing has been all over the place this season with only about 2 good episodes to boast of.

And now we have to wait at least 2 years for a third season.

Okay y'all it's been long I posted here... well at times a little vacay is needed... but let's cut to the chase 😏

1.) Divorce In The Black --- 7.5/10

An intriguing and reflective movie about love, family, friendship, commitment, hope, second chance, toxic and abusive marriage, irresponsibility, dysfunctional family and its consequences.

Tyler Perry keeping up with his mandate of not just entertaining but passing across life impacting messages. One reason why his movies, especially his non Madea movies are a must watch for me.


2.) Deadpool And Wolverine --- 5/10

(Spoiler alert on this one)

A spectacular promising movie that morphed into a big let down. The comedy, R-ratedness, musical score, emotional weight, and actions were solid, but unfortunately the movie was cursed with a ridiculously stupid plot.

Okay, let's go over this;

** Why did Paradox choose to destroy the various universes?

** Why did he choose to save the heroes he chose (which he later sent to the void when they refused his proposal of joining the sacred timeline but instead chose to save their universes)?

** The anchor entity concept is just as silly as silly itself, like, how and why should the existence of a universe be based on the existence of a particular person? How does that make sense? Honestly, Marvel's multiverse theory is just balloney.

** Why were the Deadpool Corp seeking to kill Deadpool and Wolverine?

All these plot issues made the plot of the movie hogwash.

Didn't the creators and actors say that audiences should forget about plot because that's not what the movie is brining?

They basically promised a brain-rot for plot with a simple comedy action flick

Elite season 8 is a solid 3/10 for me.
A franchise that started as one of the most watched and most famous teen series on a very high note was destroyed and completely ruined to pieces.

To make matters worst, this new season 8 ended up being the worst season so far, to the extent that i fast forwarded almost 80% of the scenes because they were out of point and makes no Sense.
It's a total shame on how this franchise ended and i am sure the actors and actresses from season 1 to 4 will be so disappointed that the work they gave to this franchise was followed up by miserable seasons.

The writers fell off completely bad, they had no clue or idea what to write again and i wonder why they didn't just end the franchise in season 4 or 5.

I dumped this show after season 3.
