Kaycee7:The Garden of Sinners... I watched all the installments years ago... Loved it...and the music too Reminded me of Fate |
Greatdesi:The Billionaire paid 50% for cleanup job so no blowback to him... What exactly did he think that meant? If the Billionaire was innocent, then what about the Taxi Driver? |
Baddestguyp:I checked online and there seems to be no satisfactory answer to this issue. So I changed my rating to 6/10 from 7/10 |
Nickshrapnel:exactly. It bugged me too.. I don't know if I missed something but from what I could tell, the taxi driver knew nothing. All he had was just bad luck to be the one who took them on that ride. He was literally doing his job as a taxi driver but got killed. Makes no sense to spare the person who paid for the hit |
The Killer (2023 Netflix).... 6/10 Not gonna lie, the ending of this movie puzzled me. I just couldn't get the rationale of the killer sparing the client. It made no sense at all to me considering his past actions. I understand he's not as emotionless or brutal as he seems...but when you consider he had even killed the Taxi Driver, it makes no sense imo. Yeah the client was an amateur who couldn't come after him, that's still no excuse cos he's a billionaire who's seen his face. Unless he just wanted to avoid the attention that comes with killing such a billionaire with the cops and all...and instead live a quiet life in retirement. I hope someone can explain his rationale at the end

brainhack:not sure you should be posting spoilers openly. Anyway I've been doing my best not to read it |
Netflix fully delving into anime

All the ending haters don dey change mouth ![]()

Calibrator:don't blame them... When they spend all day watching Nollywood home video or PG-13 movies... Where will their media literacy come from? |
nonireel:Cry more. This leaf has more thematic relevance than your favorite movie

Oppenheimer 2023.....10/10 Another Christopher Nolan masterpiece How would you feel if you were the man who created the weapon that could lead to the end of the world? The weapon that is responsible for over 200k deaths on its first use in war....and it's success could lead to many more...?

LeopardX:a n i m e p a h e Search for attack on Titan final season part 3
|
BlackManta:The MCU is finished. Not from a monetary perspective, but from a quality perspective. This is because they obviously either have nothing worthwhile to tell or they have but they don't know how to tell it Personally I feel the biggest issue is their need the water down every product for mass audience. This is what happens when you have to waterdown every movie/show so that both 8 years old kids and 70 years old grandparents can understand. At a point it just became the same repititive and generic products they kept churning out. |
ATTACK ON TITAN POST LISTING SOME FLAWS, PLOTHOLES INCONSISTENCIES, ETC Season 1 One clear plothole is in season 1 episode 5, the 60m tall Collosial Titan completely vanished into thin air after breaking the gate of Trost District. This makes absolutely no sense as nothing we've seen from this show explains it. While it is Canon that Titans, especially the Collosial can control the speed of its evaporation, there's nothing to show that it can simply vanish into thin air in a split second. Clear plothole/inconsistency Season 2 Weird plot convenience. In S2E12, after Eren expends all his strength healing his limbs. He encounters the Dina Fritz Titan (Smiling Titan) and is unable to transform cos he's out of strength. However he conveniently just threw a useless punch on the Titan's arm not really expecting anything to happen. Because of Dina being a Titan of Royal blood, the powers of the founder is activated saving Eren and the scouts. You could explain it as Eren punching it out of frustration but still... Funny tho, S4 revealed a twist of Eren once controlling the Dina Titan. Meaning he could have purposely sent it to child Eren to have contact and activate the power to save his friends Season 3 part 2 Plothole/convenience of how Armin was able to survive with his entire body burnt to crisp and falling off that height. He probably fell like 30m and still survived after his body was burnt. Maybe Eren helped him land? Dunno But how did he somehow remain alive during all their arguments about Erwin V Armin. Plothole imo Also the Reiner plot armor. Reiner showed an ability to spread his consciousness across his body. But that ability was never mentioned again, possibly because the author realized how dûmb that idea was and how much obvious plot armor it could lead to. Season 4 part 2 Unanswered question/potential plothole? In the episode "From You 2000 years ago", we see the origin of the founder Ymir. We learnt how she married King Fritz and that the Titan powers split after her kids ate her côrpse and their children further ate theirs. The question here is if all subjects of Ymir originated from Ymir and her daughters, what is the difference between subjects of Ymir and those of the Royal Blood. While there are many theories that could solve this question, the fact is that the story never explicitly addressed this. We never got an official answer and thus this could essentially be a plothole since it was left unanswered by the author. Season 4 part 3 special 2 Minor complaints, but we never fully explored the origin of the Hallucigenia. Zeke addresses it but a lot of fans felt it needed to be addressed more. Minor complaint, but the show leaves a lot to interpretation on the Ymir Fritz and Mikasa relationship. While most fans can piece together things, I believe the show should have delved further into the explanation as to why it had to be Mikasa. Minor funny complaint, but how TF did Mikasa get back to Paradis to bury Eren? She didn't seem to have any exclusive means of transportation. ODM gear can't get her that far. The flyingboat was also destroyed. I didn't see any means of transportation she could handle by herself carrying Eren's head. This didn't make any sense to me There are still a few minor issues or unexplained contrivances that I feel aren't really worth mentioning cos they could be easily theorized Overall....ATTACK ON TITAN remains undoubtedly one of the best TV shows ever produced. And in my own opinion the best show I've ever watched. One thing people can all agree on is how great the lore, story, allegory, characters, themes and Dynamics are. For a series that is constantly changing or adapting genres, it manages to pull off everything well. It links and ties up plot points better than most TV shows could ever dream of and it pulls off incredible levels of foreshadowing and plot twists. It also teaches us many valuable lessons like how to appreciate the small precious moments in life It also holds its place among the best anti-war pieces of fiction ever created. All its realistic war themes and allusion to real life events including some of the allusion to how the Nazis operate, it's allusion to the 1st and 2nd World War and even most wars in history. The final season coming out during different real-life conflicts is able to shed light on different perspectives of war, genocide, propaganda, human nature, etc This show has opened my eyes to different perspectives of war even more than any other show I've seen beforehand do. This is because it has some of the most realistic portrayal of the effects of war, racism, etc Overall a 10/10 masterpiece that will be talked about for years to come as one of the greatest shows of all time.

phr0nesis:oh...I misunderstood I thought you didn't watch animation at all |
Yu Yu Hakusho live action trailer Honestly didn't expect it to look this good For fans of the anime. The anime was made by Togashi the same dude who wrote Hunter X Hunter. He wrote Yu Yu Hakusho before HxH. Considering this is a series and not a movie...I wonder if they'll reach the Dark Tournament Arc. Those who've seen the anime know that the Dark Tournament Arc is one of the best tournament arcs in anime history (if not the best) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMi-DDJtExs?si=4yeFEqu-um0WYwJI |
phr0nesis:imo anime is one of the best storytelling medium for me... What can be done through the animated medium is of no limitation. Some animated shows know very well how to use the advantages of the medium since live action is very limited... Attack on Titan is living proof of how to use the animated medium to tell a very complicated story and build a very interesting lore... For example Armin and Zeke's conversation in the Paths in the final AOT episode. I'm not sure how you can properly convey all the deep messages in that conversation in live action tbh... It wouldn't have hit like animation. In fact the entire paths sef is like something that love action shows will run away from due to how complicated it is for casual audiences One of the reactors I watch on YouTube also made a point about it in one of his streams. About how unconstrained animation is and this allows you to do far more in animation than in live action without it feeling weird I wish you'd give animation more chance tbh... Once you get used to it, you'll understand the beauty of storytelling through animation

rockhillz:After Toji was summoned, even though he killed those who summoned him, he wasn't fully in control of his state of mind. He basically became a body roaming around looking for battles....but some parts of his soul remained... Anyway, so when fighting Megumi, when he saw Megumi's technique, it began suspecting Megumi was his son. You remember that Toji's last request to Gojo was about his son. He wanted his son to be protected, and not to join the Zenin clan. Toji himself abandoned the Zenin name while alive and took the Fushigoro name (the surname of his wife) So back to the fight, as Toji noticed Megumi's technique, he regained his mind for a short while and realized Megumi was his son... That's why he asked Megumi his name. Megumi said Fushigoro meaning Megumi had also abandoned the Zenin clan. Toji was relieved to hear that. Toji killed himself because he didn't want to lose control of his mind again and end up killing his son. Megumi on the other hand didn't even know Toji was his father. He didn't know he was fighting his father

phr0nesis:if you can't keep up with 90 episodes of AOT, then I'm not sure you can go 1000+ episodes of One Piece... You can start with some short anime like Death Note |
