Illusioneffect:@ bolded....choose one now Anyway, I made this comment today on Reddit and I think it's worth sharing: Attack on Titan's ability to reinvent itself, continually changing it's genre while remaining consistent should be studied. How the show went from a simple survival horror to implement supernatural events, centuries old conflicts, time travel, and even establishing itself as one of the best anti-war story.... It did all this all while getting better and better with each season. Most shows tend to fall off, but AOT somehow got better which each subsequent season... The deeper you go, the more complicated it becomes... And yet despite all these, the story was able to implement circular storytelling to perfection... The amount of details in almost every scene, every conversation, almost every frame having a deeper meaning is something that should be studied... It's a show where every little thing holds thematic meaning... In AOT you'll see an entire thread of arguments dissecting the meaning of a leaf or flower...or a tree... Linking the meaning of different scenes... because of the vast use of symbolism... Almost every single sentence characters make are dissected to find the deeper meaning behind them... Definitely deserves it's place among the best stories of all time 🤝 |

Silentgroper:you won't really notice the complexity till season 3...but you'll get it... It's usually on a rewatch that you'll understand all those things you missed early on... On rewatch you'll be shocked the amount of details just in episode 1 alone...not to talk of subsequent episodes... It's a show that almost every detail was planned from start to end |

Silentgroper:Just to add and clarify... The main reason why I told you everything is very important in AOT is because the show does not spoonfeed it's audience... It also uses a lot of symbolism and parallels to tell it's messages... And it gives you a lot of pieces for you to put together to interprete and understand... In fact, fans hate it whenever the show spoonfeeds them |

Silentgroper:I didn't watch AOT in dubbed so I don't know... I know the dub around season 4 is okay... But for earlier seasons I don't know... AOT is on animèpàhè It's called Shingeki no Kyojin there (the japanese name) and you'll see both English and Japanese version there Recommended watch order (obvious) 1. Season 1 2. Season 2 3. Ilse's Notebook OVA (optional) 4. No Regrets OVA (optional but recommended) 5. Season 3 part 1 6. Season 3 part 2 7. Final season part 1 8. Final season part 2 9. Special chapters (two episodes) All other OVAs are not that important...but some parts of LOST GIRLS OVA can spring up certain theories...e.g the one about Mikasa |

Silentgroper:you dey watch AOT in dubbed? Rule 1 of anime: never watch in dubbed. Watch in the original language...with subs... Plus you will miss out on key details in the dialogue... Also, if you've gotten to episode 9 you should have started learning about the key and that Eren is a titan Also, the backstories is very important... To events and to characters in the future... Some things are not how they seem... The show will turn all your knowledge about events upside down later on |

Silentgroper:I will try to assume you are not trolling... So I will assume you are at the 104th training corps arc (episode 3 and 4) Or Battle for Trost arc (episodes 5-13) which is the slowest arc in the show...the pacing is not great Episodes 14-16 mostly gives very important information about the Survey Corps and about the Titans and characters like Erwin Smith, Levi and Hange Female Titan Arc begins at episode 17 but everything before it is very very very important... So if you're gonna watch...don't skip anything, every single piece of dialogue is important and you'll understand why the more you watch If you don't wanna continue and miss out...that's on you  Finally, Attack on Titan is not an action show. It is about storytelling and not action. There is action yes... But the focus is the story... You will get to parts especially in the Final Season where you won't smell action for a long time. But all those episodes are so well-written that if you are a fan of good writing you will love them so much |

Baddestguyp:I still don't understand what exactly this flower represents... It's been shown stained with blood on two different occasions.... A blood stained flower usually represents "Loss of innocence" in media...but where this flower was used seem to confer a different meaning... Ymir saw the flower in both instances 2000 years ago where she made a choice and instead of getting approval, she got punished for it. 1. The first instance was after she freed the pigs cos she understood their desire to be free and likened her situation with them... Which led to her being hunted by dogs and seeing those flowers stained with her blood while injured 2. The second instance is after she made her own choice to take the spear for Fritz even when she didn't have to. And instead of getting praised, he still called her a slave... She had a vision of the same flower and lost the will to live Does the flower represent punishment for her making an innocent choice?? 🤔🤔🤔
