With his pictures all over the net, his name and phone number.. How come the police haven't swooped in yet and pick him up? What's the essence of NIN? Or are they waiting for streets to pick him up and administer jungle justice? I don't usually cheer for jungle justice but if this guy is guilty of the numerous rapes, robberies , stealing etc as accused, well then.. he deserves it! |

MASTERCHIEF0847: The bolded is what my post is trying to highlight . In your last sentence. You tried to mock "yourself" but ended up ridiculing yourself. The bottom line is, naira is the official currency of Nigeria and anyone working or doing business in Nigeria should be conducting that business in the official currency which is NAIRA. |

Govt make the laws and break them. Why should any entity both government or private transact a business in a foreign currency in Nigeria As much as USdollar is popular, you can't use it in UK, Germany etc. But in Nigeria?? The elites do whatever they want. |

I wish the super eagles the best and I hope they win the finals. But with the harsh economic situation, both President and VP should have been in the country working out deals, swapping emails and phone calls how to get the economy back on track. |

Crime / Re: Nursing Mother Brutalises Her Maid In Anambra by Badgers14: 9:51am On Feb 08 |
The NGO got a bad deal for the girl in my opinion. I would have asked for 10m, 3 million upfront then fix the remaining 7m to be assessed when she turned 18. Given the mother of the victim 30k for the upkeep of the victim is nothing.. augmentin is now 25k. The trauma this girl had to pass through can't be quantified in money but atleast, a decent amount upfront would help get grow to get to 18yrs to claim the remaining. A parent sending their child away at this tender age most likely aren't financially bouyant.. So the 3m upfront should help the parents augment there business and provide for their family making sure they don't send her away again and enabling her to be taken care of medically and otherwise. 1 Like |

michlins: The situation on ground.. seems like economic sabotage Promax. I thought it was bad during GEJs tenure.. Buhari's government was worse and Tinubu's government goes hold my beer. For lack of better word.. it is like a hopeless situation.. and almost irredeemable...( but I do hope and pray for a miracle for it to be redeemed) It's makes me sad to see how things are bad for the common man. Like we all are discussing building construction here.. now let's say someone managed to raise $63k to build a house in this current clime.. now where you go see legitimate tenants that would rent the place? How many people can comfortably afford the high rent at this time, even yahoo boys sef... if you allow them in your property and stomach their wahala.. when there rent expires.. it is usually war for them to pay. |
Properties / Re: General Topic Thread-To Discuss Anything And Everything in Building Construction by Badgers14: 8:11pm On Feb 03 |
gbadexy: Well not by much in average though.. I don't know if this is an outlier but the actual building I used in my calculations here.. rent was 700k/yr in 2020 and the rent is still same in 2024. |
Properties / Re: General Topic Thread-To Discuss Anything And Everything in Building Construction by Badgers14: 7:26pm On Feb 03 |
gbadexy: Although there are alternatives... say you do transfer for others that need it. The pesin would want you to transfer at bdc rate of 1525.. say man got 3m in rent and want to use it for one or two at base.. 3m would give ya $1,967 (@1525/$1).. that's is not even enough to pay one month rent for many people . Compared to 367/$1 that would fetch $8,174 (for 3m) 3 Likes |
Properties / Re: General Topic Thread-To Discuss Anything And Everything in Building Construction by Badgers14: 7:09pm On Feb 03 |
gbadexy: Exactly, for diasporans.. as bad as it sound.. now is the time to build . 2019/2020 to build 6 flats of 3 bdrm from foundation to finishing is 38-45m at exchange rate 356 - 367 = $122,615 ( 367 /$1). This year to erect similar project would cost about 80 - 92m at 1,525 per $1 would give us....wait for it.. wait for it... $63,000. Half the cost!!! But the problem is that the money is trapped in Nigeria, when you want to wire the money back to abroad na when you will be crying wah wah |
