When I got to the POE in 2017, the officer asked me if I know anyone in United States, I said No, He asked me again, then immediately I remembered I filled in one of my distant uncle’s info in my form which I totally forgot innocently. Then I said yes . Guess what , I was taken to the second screening where they drilled me so bad before I was released.

So always let your response match what you fill.

With regards to the instance you gave, your Visa starts counting from the day you're stamped into (arrive) UAE. Cc tallmewarh

I don't go to Deira. There's someone in my coy that we (Nigerians) give money to go and send for us, once we're paid. Anybody that wants to send money, would give him 5AED extra for trans. So it's cheaper for me cos if I were to go myself, I'll spend more than 30AED to and fro. I dey hear gists of the Deira girls.

Very true o. A few times I tried to buy foodstuffs from the groceries close to the sites I work, in Dubai and Ajman, the prices were outrageous.

Lol. Honestly, I don't even know if where I am is Saif zone. I just know it's industrial area. Since I came, I haven't left my camp unless it's to sites in Dubai and Ajman, or church on Fridays. Maybe na because I no wan make unnecessary expenses.

Bro you can always call MOHRE on 800665 to get specific guidelines about how you can change job successfully. For instance, when I called them, they said from my contract, (I wasn't given a copy) my probation ends 25/10/2017. And if I am able to serve my current employer, a one month notice of resignation, I do not need to pay the employer any money.
Whereas, our HR tells us that if we wish to resign we'll pay 4kAED (visa fee). Now I know better, that it's just to intimidate us. My major worry right now, is how to sign an offer letter with a better coy ASAP.
About family, I miss them too, but the thought of getting invite to interview and a better job surpresses that emotion. More so, they're the reason I'm struggling to be successful, so when next I meet them it'll be worth my long absence.
