I think Coach Emmanuel Amunike deserves some applause. He has shown that he learnt a lot from the CAF U17 Championship, where the G.E didn't perform to the expectations of the fans. There is a lot of improvements as regards getting results with this team. They kind of oppositions they faced in the CAF was not as stiff as what is obtained here, but there are still showing great signs of springing surprises.

If this team had not improve going by what they showed during the CAF U17 Championship, they would not have even qualified from the group.

Another thing I have also noticed is their defensive abilities, even though the do not 'pack the bus' as Safarigirl mentioned above. This is also made evident in the number of tackles they have produced so far.

I also agree with the Op that said their style of play is strange. They play a times as if they will loose, but still go ahead to win, thats strange in a way.
Strange style of play indeed. I remember how surprised I was when we played Australia, we defeated them 6-0 with just 51% ball possession against Australia's 49%. 51% ball possession produced 6 goals isn't that strange. That the type of scoreline you'd expect from a team with atleast 60% and above. Same thing in our game against Chile. CHile had 54% ball possession with just 1 goal, we had 46% and we scored 5 goals. They know how to get the goals.

How do they choose the best goalkeeper in a tournament cos the Malian goalkeeper is the biggest threat to Udoh winning the golden glove.

He has conceeded once with a lot of good saves.

I see a Nigeria vs Mali final.

Two things we should expect from sadists/haters after 90mins.

If we win(will surely happen) sadists will come out to sing and chant their overage song.

If we lose(which won't and can't happen) sadists will come out to abuse our boys and the coaching crew. They will abuse Amuneke ehen, the man go suffer. They will tell us how pathetic and useless our boys are. They will tell us that they were already that team will lose and how they'd already predicted it. Our goalkeeper will suffer severe abuse from them.

look at this useless ghanian. Tell me why is ur hopeless country not participating in the tournament. Your worthless country was banned because u used ancesters as U-17 for CAF U-17 qualifier and they couldn't pass the MRI test. How will they even pass the test? Ancesters claiming U-17.

Ghana have failed to make any meaningful impact in the U-17 category since the introduction of MRI test.

When we won it 2 years ago in UAE, you did not qualify. 2015 banned for using ancestors.

I want Mali to defeat Croatia. Croatia will have significant morale boost if they should defeat Mali(another favorite). That will be 3 favorites in a row Nigeria-germany-Mali. They will be too difficult to defeat if we should meet again.
SportsRe: All The News About The Golden Eaglets (U-17) HERE! by Badosqi(m): 8:40am On Oct 31, 2015
Mali vs Croatia is going to be an interesting encounter. These two teams are good, very good.

Mali have only conceeded a goal via a penalty. They have the highest attempts on goal, 92 attempts in just 4 games and 36 attempts against them(average of 8 attempts per game). But to me they've played against average teams (Belgium, Ecuador, Honduras) grp stage and North Korea round of 16. Yes 3 teams from that group are through to quarter final.
Croatia is the perfect test for Mali. Croatia is made up of dinamo zagreb's players, they play week in week out and the teamwork is there. We've seen this in their games against Usa, Nigeria and Germany. They've defeated 2 favorites(Nigera nd germany) already knocking one out. Croatia is still unbeaten in 15 games.

The other way is not easier either. Would u have preferred we played Mali in the Q/Final? Dnt rule out Belgium as u recall they played 1-1 with Mali at the grp stage. And for Costa-Rica to hold the rampaging French team to a 0-0 draw at regulation time it means they are a good side too.

For me I think the tournament just really started. Days of 5-0, 5-1,6-0 wins are over I think. We are facing the real contenders now.

I would love a Nigeria Mali final!
Belgium boys were just lucky to play that day. Mali had 26 attempts against belgium's 2, Mali had 15 shot off target against Belgium's 2 and 6 shots on target against Belgium's 0. Mali squandered lot of chances that day but they've stepped up their game now. Ecuador sef defeated them. I am sure Belgium will not want to meet Mali if they are lucky to reach semi-final.

They struggled to make it out of the group as a 3rd place team with 4 points behind Mali and Ecuador.

When the eaglets met the Brazilians at the suwon youth tournament in South Korea. Kingsley Micheal and Agor scored against them only to concede a goal through Enogela.

I think we will have a not too difficult game with them if the eaglets get their acts together.

I'd like to see Bamgboye, Chukwueze run at them on the franks. I think the Brazilians struggle a bit when they are stretched on the wings. Their full backs seem vulnerable. If Nwakali, Enogela etc can play like they did in the last match against the Aussies, eaglets just whoop them convincingly.
Yeah the main point is if we get our acts together. Eaglets should not underate the brazilians, yes they've been struggling in most of their games but versus Nigeria is a different ball game. World number 1 vs world number 2 in U-17..,4-time champ vs 3-time champ.

@ Badosqi, apart from Brazil, there is Mexico on the way before you get to Croatia/Mali.

Don't forget that anything can happen along the way. Belgium/CRC might not be an easy obstacle for Mali/Croatia.

If Mali beats Croatia, I think they will get to the finals. They play like under 20. I will be worried about them especially their no 18 shirt, Amadou Haidara. He is intelligent and has got bombs on his feet.
Our path to the final seems the hardest. We are meeting Brazil the 3-time winner of the competition and if we make it through, we may likely meet our 2013 UAE wife and another U-17 2-time champ Mexico...

We will likely see the winner between Mali and Croatia in the final, this one is just too hard to predict. Can belgium or Costa Rica cause more upset, well I love upsets and I'll love to see more from that path(Mali/Croatia vs Belgium/Costa Rica) to the final.
SportsRe: All The News About The Golden Eaglets (U-17) HERE! by Badosqi(m): 3:02am On Oct 30, 2015
Hahahahahahaha..... Germany out, South Korea out and France out. 3 yeye pretenders kicked out of the tournament now we are left with Croatia(that is if they can get past the impressive Mali) the real danger to our fifth title.
Croatia is on an unbeaten run of 15 or 16 matches now and they've defeated us twice already in a space of 3 months, forget that we've already qualified excuse. No team will go to a tournament and will be happy to record a loss. We were completely outplayed by the croats from ball possession to corner kicks to shots. But the croatians hardly score much in their games.

I am sure Amuneke and our boys must have learnt their lesson and will be good to go if we get to meet the Croatians again.

Well, a step at a time we have brazil to knockout first and let see Mali and Croatia battle too. I must support mali, we be African brothers not just AB but also West African Brothers.

Hahahaha Germany is out........ Not really surprised, I stated this on our Nigeria vs Australia thread this morning.

Badosqi:
The hardest nut in this tournament after Nigeria is France(you don't expect me to rate them above our boys na ooo). Clinical in front of goal and a compact team.

Don't take any thing away from the Croats because they are really a good team and I won't be surprised if they beat the germans tomorrow. They defeated us in August this year and again in our group match yes we had qualified already but they actually outplayed us completely in that game.
Many said if they are dat gud why couldn't they defeat the americans, they outplayed the americans too came back 4rm 2 goals to drew 2-2 missed lots of chances, hit the post twice. The only problem with the Croats is they do not score much.
.
.
.
Remember about 9 of their players are in dinamo zabreb team, so the team work is there already.

They may just defeat germany tomorrow, I don't want us to meet them again but if we must meet them we should meet again the final.

Breaking news from BBC!!

The Earth will experience 15 days of total darkness between November 15 and November 29, 2015. The event, according to NASA, hasn’t occurred in over 1 Million years. Astronomers from NASA have indicated that the world will remain in complete darkness starting on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at 3 a.m. and will end on Monday, November 30, 2015 at 4:15 p.m.

According to officials, the ” November Black Out” event will be caused by another astronomical event between Venus and Jupiter.

Charles Bolden, who was appointed to head of NASA by President Obama, issued a 1000 page document explaining the event to the White House. According to the report, on October 26, 2015, Venus & Jupiter will engage in a close parallelism, only being separated by 1 degree. Venus will pass to the southwest of Jupiter, causing Venus to shine 10 times brighter than Jupiter. The light from Venus will heat up the gases on Jupiter causing a reaction.
The gaseous reaction will release an unprecedented amount of Hydrogen into Space.

The Hydrogen gas will make contact with Earth's sun at approximately 2:50 a.m. The amass amount of Hydrogen making contact with the sun will cause a massive explosion on the Sun’s surface. The explosions will cause the Sands surface temperature to increase to 9,000 degrees Kelvin in an instant.

The sun will then attempt to cease the explosions by emitting heat from its core. The heat will cause the Sun to dim to a bluish color. Once the sun reaches the bluish color, it will take approximately 14 days to restore its normal surface temperature, returning its normal color to the Red Giant.

While the sun is cooling the surface, the light from the sun will be much dimmer. Because it takes anywhere from 7 to 8 and a half minutes depending on the Earth’s rotation for light from the sun to hit Earth, people will not know the
event has happened until 2:58 am on November
15th.

Some areas of the world may experience brief moments of light for 7 to 8 minutes, but the Earth will then go back to complete darkness until the Sun’s surface temperature has been restored.

SO,Y'ALL SHOULD CHILL.
NO RESUMPTION YET tongue

https://newswatch33.com/science/nasa-confirms earth-will-experience-15 days-of-complete-darkness-in-november-2015/
Another hoax. This report is a beautiful nonsense.
How come no reputable news outlet is carrying the news. 15 days of total darkness and no news on it except some hungry bloggers.

A something of this magnitude and CNN is not reporting it neither is the news on bbc the report quoted.

15 days no be shereshere. It will affect almost everytin in this world. Plants sef will die due to the absence of sun(no photosynthesis). Look at earth will plants, yeah you get the picture.... END OF EARTH is it nothuh

SportsPedro Tired Of Chelsea, Keen To Return To Barcelona by Badosqi(op): 3:45pm On Oct 29, 2015
Chelsea winger Pedro Rodriguez is allegedly regretting his move to the Blues and would be keen to return to FC Barcelona.

The 28-year-old joined the Blues at the beginning of the season but is struggling to adapt to life in England.
He made a brilliant start to his Chelsea career, scoring one and assisting another in his first game under Jose Mourinho, but has since only scored once in 11 games.
According to Spanish publicationFichajes, Pedro would be happy to return to Camp Nou in January. The World Cup winner allegedly told teammate Cesc Fabregas that he wishes he had never left the Catalan giants.
Pedro left the Blaugrana due to his lack of first team football, despite making 321 appearances where he scored 99 goals and assisted another 63 for the club.
He had won 20 trophies with the Catalan giants before joining Chelsea for €27 million.

A return to Barcelona might become a reality given his poor form in England and the Catalans side's intentions to strengthen their slim squad.
