SportsRe: Les Bleus: France A Disgrace So Far by bagoma(f): 8:57pm On Jun 27, 2006
i don't know what happened within the space of a few days but whatever it is i couldnt be happier for it, the france team i am seeing tonight against spain has really upped their game.
even if they lose tonight, i wont condemn them, they are playing much much better than they did in any of the last 6 world games they've played since 2002.
i.e going by this first half.

in the end they disappointed me, i mean someone from the dutch side ought to have started a fight, i had taken the front seat in front of my tv waiting for the mother of all brawls only to be so disappointed. they should have started by giving the ref a real kick in the shins. then the fight would begin but no. angry sad
SportsRe: Portugal vs Holland: Germany 2006 Second Round by bagoma(f): 10:00pm On Jun 25, 2006
football is such a terrible game when your side loses.
i wonder why i bother sometimes. thank God i'm not a betting man.
your team loses, you lose dough as well, nothing could be worse than that.
sorry o

Christianity EtcRe: When God Seems Far Away by bagoma(f): 8:22pm On Jun 25, 2006
@ toshman,
i truly understand your post,
i had a very personal experience, i lost my loved one so suddenlyt and shockingly at a time when things couldnt have been better for us as a family, i mean spiritually, health-wise, financially etc, we were on a roll and gbam, it hit me, like a missle, destroying almost everything but thank God, not my faith.
at the time i couldnt even feel God, i prayed, seeked God, tried to stay strong and held done to the word and all but he seemed so far away. i couldnt hear Him. but like david, i encouraged myself in the Lord. i held on, prayers from friends and fellowship with brethren helped me through.
don moen song - "i will sing" was my favorite then. i will play it over and over again.
donnie mclucklin's - "didnt you know"was another one too.
the word was my anchor and i read books bordering on my situation and all the time God was good.
looking back now i can definitely say that He was there all the time, never left me for a single moment. but pain and grief numbed me such that i thought He was far away.
He was there to send me help all the time, the perfect literature to read, the best person to talk to, the passage to read at a particular time, the songs He put in my heart. and i came through.
God is there all the time.

@ jackal,
good you said the argentines aremarginally better than mexico in this game because indeed thats what it boils down to. they are just slightly better because they got the winning goal. mexicans have really matched them tonight.

it looks like CIV will salvage something from this world though they are going home after this match.
wow! from 2 goals down now leading by 3 goals to 2 and with less than 10 mins of play left, including stoppage time. great. cheesy
SportsRe: Germany 2006: Players Likely To Impress Or Disappoint? by bagoma(f): 9:34pm On Jun 21, 2006
Edit 2: CIV just equalised. cheesy cheesy

perhaps they can even win it.

alright its time to aim for more, no longer talking about a draw no, going further to a win. cheesy

alright like reverend would say;
Edit 1: they just scored via penalty taken by dindane. imagine taking it twice and scoring too.
perhaps they'll redeem it. keeping my fingers crossed.
SportsRe: Germany 2006: Players Likely To Impress Or Disappoint? by bagoma(f): 8:37pm On Jun 21, 2006
cote de voire is disappointing, big time. imagine not even securing a point from 3 matches.
*hisses*
they are presently down by 2 goals in just 20 mins of the game against serbia & montenegro.
*annoyed*
