I applIed in August, the application fee is about $80 but you don't have to pay that until after your admission. Then, when you are admitted, you pay 50% of your first semester fee before you get your acceptance letter, i20 and others. There Spring application ended 30th of October or so. But the Fall application is on.

to live and work in the UK as a skilled Labour.

UK never issues visa for a passport that expires under 6 months, you would need to renew your passport to apply and avoid being rejected or just take your chances.

My advice bro if you can see a reliable agent to land you employment visa just close eye do and don't mind the cost,the truth is more than 50% of people coming in on tourist go back home when visa kalas after 3 months,some does visa change,some will later pay agent x2 of what they spend coming in. Bro 3 months Tourist is a risky game now,pple are too much for d jobs available, lk 3 pple going back home D's week now I know. But all na game of luck.

I want to say thank you to everyone who has taken out time to give response to queries asked.
A friend applied for visa and did biometrics on the 19th July at Ikeja Tls. After 5days,she got confirmation email from ukba. On the 13th working day: email saying application not straight forward.
Called /sent mail for escalation twice. 18th Oct passport ready for collection. Collected 30th Oct.
Visa granted.. To God be the glory..
