Truthissupreme:That's not true before they started allowing burials in UK, US etc the nations you mentioned morgues were filled with bodies waiting clearance too. That is a fact . Up until a process of putting the bodies in bags was accepted or cleared burials were similarly delayed. Normal burials often would have being done with the bodies being exposed except for the white cloth they are wrapped in. Exposing others to infection also the handling ,moving and burial itself was risky. About the poster it is recommended that Muslims around attend such burials invited or not. whether they know or don't know the person. Adopting a poster to communicate to a wider populace doesn't negate anything. Muslims are always adviced to pray for the departed and there parents especially . So with or with poster as means of communication to the populace burial will happen . Any unnecessary delay is not encouraged in Islam. As such delays are denying the decease from moving on to the next stage which is the burial required for the departed Muslim. The best thing for a deceased Muslim is to bury him according to Islamic rights without avoidable delay. No amount of party, delays or crying will change what has happened. All you can do is but pray for mercy and eternal rest for the person and proceed to burial. |
Tomek09:So you think. |
Truthissupreme:Misconceived. You think you know but don't. The first photo the lady arrived 4pm for burial meaning before everything is arranged it could be late evening. In such case it's allowed to wait till the next break of dawn to proceed with burial. As night burials are not encourage Islamically. Second photo the lady was buried . Just the usual during and after burial prayers held on the third day seventh day and forty days. Even thought it varies as some believe it is not required. Although that doesn't delay burial. It's not a party thing is meant to be prayers and preaching etc. As per the delays in burial that has to do with Iraq that has to do with WHO advice and guidelines on burial of corvid victims. Concerns of the virus reaching humans again through the burial process or exposure of the body was the primary reason countries then held the bodies and delayed burials. They feared the virus could even contaminate ground water and spread again. For some time it was delayed based on the advice from WHO. Even while the Muslim families in Iraq protest the delays. They kept appealing to the families it was more to do with public health. Now facts have shown that certain cautions can be taken to ensure safe burials with out the risk of spreading it. This are exceptions so don't get it twisted. |
flokii:Which North again |
hisexcellency34:Which one is zooming again? |
Great news to hear. It's truly sad this can happen to an army officer. Also I remember watching channels TV seeing someone say he has gotten Intel from colleagues in the military that the Major had being killed. Honestly people need to slow down things regarding false information. Imagine how the family will feel and the kind of confusion such erroneous talk will bring. Thank God for life and RIP to the Patriots that lost there life in the attack. Truly sad. |
All that the Gov said is reality. People often think it's only in the northern part Gov/people have problems generating enough revenue. It remains a fact only a very few states are able to do without Federal allocation. People will come here and pretend as if they don't know even if the figures bash them in the face. The Gov is amongst others that choose to air there concerns and opinion of the likely reality and impact of revenues as it could disrupt any immediate reality. The northern gov or elites are quick to complain but they could be silent and let others speak to since it's not going t o affect the North only . It has become so often that some states outside the north choose to be silent to allow the North do the crying and they come out acting like ehn we are fine and jointly enjoy the end result. If they implement this entire thing without proper re-alignments or regulations people and businesses will be forced to spend more. It is fact. There might be massive migrations to places of property . After all said and done na resources control be the ultimate. I support the position anyday anytime. As a Governor you need to have a vision and plan for the economy of your state. Next is you need absolute control of your resources. Again that is a problem we all have south and north. It's not about any Fulani or North thingy. There are equally states in the south that have no oil or access to the sea and not viable. Likewise there are some viable states in North not viable and some are viable and can survive on there own. If we could allow states run there affairs fully. Contribute a smaller fraction to the centre. All this Govs hiding behind FG / blame game will now have to really focus on taking the blame for there woes where they fail economically. As it is now they often hide behind FG, constitution,a boogyman, partisan ship, nepotism etc. To avoid being made accountable. GOV. Umahi understands the reality. If you watch the video he didn't say no. He is saying they need time to get working. Now that has always being the problem with states not trying to make there economy stable. Is not about Alcohol or anything as people make it or ethno-religious. It is a fact more than 70% of Nigeria states are not economical viable in there current state. Even with a good sound economic plan they need years to evolve things. The VAT and resource clamor is a good wake up call and motivator for states to buckle up. As things get though people will become selfish or greedy or think self preservation first. So to think he is my brother or blah blah won't work o. Get up and think, plan and have a good vision |
walcruise:You think when they are deported back and they are disgruntled how do you put up with them..... |
baby124:Or Europeans |
ogaemma:Am sure you missed out on Nigeria people and culture or history in school otherwise you will know that as the North is concerned Emir of Kano wasn't and isn't the only number one not to talk of other none Hausa/Fulani Kingdoms eg. Kwarafa, Kanem-Borno etc. The Sultanate during Uthman Danfodio established the current emirate system and by extension the Sultanate. It controls each kingdom after a conquest of most part of the Hausa states in Northern Nigeria and beyond by Uthman Danfodio. The Sultan after each conquest nominated and installed his own commanders, loyalist or supporters as Emirs and Sarki of the conquered states. The current conquered areas now have emirs etc. They recognize he's there superior except for some places in the North East(Borno,Taraba etc) and North central(plateau,Benue etc). The Sultan is a senior to an Emir in the religious configuration. Sultan controls an equivalent of an empire. Lastly religious leader is often referred to as uztaz ,Ulammas or Shiek. Compare it with the UK ,Queen Elizabeth and the Anglican church . As a political leader some leaders are also seen as protectors of religious norms. Not necessarily as religious heads above other institutions as church or mosque or the roles of Bishops or Imams etc. The Emir or Sarkin Kano will handover his seat anyday to the Sultan to sit and he knows that. They don't even contest that seniority because of there history and how they all got that position.

Anything to cause rancor ,hatred or bitterness amongst friends neighbors and colleagues is all some devil incarnates have turn to in other to ensure this nation turns against each other. Doesn't look like snub he seemed distracted and missed the handshake perhaps he wasn't expecting it when he did a fist at his initial approach. Lastly some evils folks have already coined it to seem like having anything to do with VAT or anti-grazing...people need to stop all this scare mongering. It doesn't help but keep everyone in suspicion of the other. What good does it bring you. Lastly in the North especially Sokoto the Sultan is sometimes hailed or saluted with a clutched fist. He may have confused the Governors approach... Nothing more nothing less. We should learn to see the positives rather than the negatives. We are to dark in our hearts as Nigerians nowadays that all we want to hear or see is bad stuff or negative stories about each other. |
marvel2real:Yea right but you never refuse to be part of the good things or times with the North. Abeg is the South's turn and when it gets to the North's or MB turn again you can clamour as MB or NC. |
naptu2:They prefer it's forgotten and that it never happened. I tire for some people thinking sha... |

VOICEofORIENTAL:When did this land grab thing start? Before the violence started nobody fit occupy an land illegally. Everybody bought lands or property from the natives and paid for it. Which happens in any developing city. What is wrong about that? Part for all this lies triggered the natives to attack selected people Hausas and Muslims over land not seized o but bought legally. The ideal thing is since una chop there money sell land , as reasonable people if you no need them refund there money nah. Instead you started to kill them in the name of fighting to reclaim your land. The former state governor tried to intervene and compensate such owners. So what you have no is people have realigned on the Plateau through segregation and consolidations in strong holds. The wall of divisions and the breeding ground of violent carnibal militias and religious extremist. Has it also occured to anyone that once you visit the Plateau some how your orientation change to have extreme hatred for the other? It's unfortunate what people have become. Rumor mongering, violent and hating |
gomojam:Revised that animal lacks humanity in it... |
BKayy:When a carnibal speaks you get the above response . He says peace but supports the eating of another human. So nothing shocking about your statement. It collaborates the fact people like you exist and your goal is to soak the Plateau in blood. You should know you won't live forever and someday the world will remember you for being the worse amongst the rest. That day you too shall surely have vermin's crawling into your grave and munching on your rotten corpse. |
VOICEofORIENTAL:Abeg spare people all this who started what. Na today Plateau state start? How long has the violence existed? Before then did you have the violence? Were all this people killing each other on the Plateau? We all know how this thing started as lies over who owns Jos and then snow ball into politics and further attracted violence and hatred on the Plateau. Question is who turned a simple discussion into act of hatred? All parties contributed to this carnage from the instigators, liars, haters, useless elders and gullible youths. You will be mistaken to think it's all about Fulanis and the natives at all times. It is an Ethno- religious crisis often. Check the history and be enlightened. It was formally with Hausas trying to take the Plateau, then it was the Muslims and now it is the Fulanis. Also don't get me wrong I support no side. All I want is the violence to stop Plateau is getting to old for this crap. The youths need to reinforce bonds and flush out the bloodsuckers in there midst. All sides habor criminals and killers as militias. That you can't hide. Plenty small war lord's full Jos now. I remember the days we would share food together, share homes and assist each other with the extra change when the other doesnt have. We were our neighbors keeper. Everybody cared and everybody kept the peace. It takes two to tango ! I love December on the Plateau it was the greatest nice weather friendly faces. You could go anywhere on the Plateau. Today try am is either herdsmen or native militias come for you. Please people stop it's enough blood on the beautiful Plateau. Una miss the part that despite the killing and hate both side have to live with each other because no tribe or faith will disappear there it's a fact and a reality. All of a sudden some greedy as elders and leaders on both side started selling the hate message to be relevant in society for selfish interest. The hate people sow on the Plateau is now ending life and the youths of Plateau continue to murder each other. |
Na because of such people the rich folks need protection and distant from people . The rich always have lawyers willing to defend them and body guards willing to protect them. Because some broke as lazy folks will always draw up some crazy lies to extort money by all means especially through blackmail or Ransome. |
VOICEofORIENTAL:Most we always kill ourselves. If they were travelling or moving around does that sentence them to death. Africans have serious problems. Watch the Americans during trump ...people came out with assault rifles in full glare during several pro and anti protest yet we did not have this level of carnage. Imagine it was here! You can imagine how people would have started an almost bloody genocide. All you have said can be denial or guilt or playing a victim card. Bottom line is some people got killed in a passenger bus not at a battle front or while attacking your village. Where are the guns you said you recoverd from them. The usual lies and propaganda to cover the atrocities again by there fellow country men. No be today this started. That same area was once responsible for invading and Eid ground killing Muslim worshippers and eating there flesh.Nothing new here. I spent most of my life in Jos but at some point I told myself to leave there cos the level of ruthless blood suckers is on a scale and irritating magnitude. I mean that as a matter of fact you are mostly killers... be it Muslims, Hausas, Birom, indigene, settlers, Fulani, anagas, afizare, Torah , christians, farmer, herders on the Plateau etc. You breed killers that now you can't stop them sucking blood from time to time on both side and all sides. Often people spew lies to hide kinsmen crime or play the victim. Whilst day and night you plot behind and against each other and kill each other at the slightest. Let's just stop all the pretending and tell ourselves the truth. People wish to extinguish neighbors at the slightest because of faith or ethnicity. The only innocent are the victims not this bunch of liars pretending to know the facts or justifying the act. The circle of violence needs to end and the people need to stop this madness and decit against each other.Kai Plateau for how long? Over 15years! Haba now |
When governor invigilate your exams....you know how far ![]() |
We are just so lost and lack direction. the bottom line remains. Creating states doesn't solve the mess we are in. This ethno- religious hatred is contagious and would only spread to the new states nothing more nothing less. A real solution will be to ensure fairness ,inclusiveness, diversity ,tolerance, justice, equal rights and opportunity. Anything less is treating symptoms. Fairness or justice is not by dividing states and harmony or peace is not to distance or separate people. What states offer is nothing close to solving the issues at hand. Ensuring everyone enjoys equal right and justice is far more important than creating states. We make noise all the time about being marginalized by one tribe or religion yet we all scheme to do same to others. Nigeria has over 200 ethnic groups and over 50 beliefs yet only less than 10 tribes complain and less than 5 religious beliefs bother everyone while scheming to undo each other. All this unnecessary distractions is nothing short of creating more anarchy and divide. We will get to a stage of inter state rivalry and conflicts sooner than later. No we are at regional , ethno-religious levels of the divide . What are the merits of having new states? Just creat another set of new oppressors and minorities. Only people deserving of a state is the SE for sake of equity and equal representation at both the regional and national level. All this extra mushroom short cut distraction and envious scheming is a share waste of policy and time. It will only creat opportunity for a clique of cabals that need new space to dominate again. |
Oracleforce:Good example above |
yanabasee1:Didn't take long. Expected....ethno-religious doesnt fail the reasoning of Nigerians. It always start and end with ethno-religious coloration or propaganda |
Juliusmalema:Isn't it funny even his tenure was uncompleted ![]() |
Hangmnk:You need to stick to the context. They also mention prophet Musa(Moses) AS. It's doesn't seem an insult or 100% comparisons but a similarity of them flee persecution or migrating to avoid a harsh reality. Not with to include there purpose or mission. That part they are far apart. |
Ovamboland:Just like we never had political parties before until along came democracy. At some point the likes of AD held the SW while APP or PDP the North ,SS and SE. How old is APC? When was the party created ? How about APGA that had 2 states at some point? Also what happen to Labour Party that held Ondo? Did a serving president GEJ lose to PMB in a new party? How many senators, governor's today were this powerfull? I just want you to see the dynamic nature of politics and to understand it's not always about a super person or party but how they influence and play the followers. If the followers wake up then the party seizes to be anything, the money and agbada seizes to be but an outfit and the fleet just luxury items for a private owner. The parties will align and the big boys will follow the people's champion and majority anytime. We need to select amongst ourself people that can represent us well and have national interest of every citizen at heart. |
Gregorian2020:Yes it's true and possible because we made it so. Think about it less than 5000 people controlling over 200million souls and the 200 million plus believing they are powerless against the less than 5000! I beg to differ on this powerless mentality. We are powerful, just that we still sleep or dream on. We remain stronger and very instrumental to them or anyone succeeding. The question is would we rise to do what is right even if they came to your door knocking asking for support? Even when you know they have nothing to offer or will you say No it's enough. We can all do our part correctly, know your candidate, select , encourage, promote and ensure fairness so that the best amongst succeed. We need to stop acting weak. We are not weak as a people. We are just failing to act or wake up. |
Seniorwriter:Oga no be by pool abi polls online. You need to be out there making the right things happen. They are already playing there cards and we are simply praying for luck. When we can take our destiny into our hands and say no or yes. |
Gregorian2020:You believe Sowore and Deji ...you got me laughing. Right now you are a better candidate for all I care. The problem with us is we often don't even believe in ourselves except for the big guys or crooks amongst us. Why can't someone like you have a shot at it ? if you have the passion, desire and solutions. What is wrong if any Nigerian regardless of creed offers him or herself for the position(s). Why don't we believe in ourselves? Most it always be a big man , dubious character or crook everytime even when we have people around us we know very well take there jobs seriously. We need to be open to all regardless. Be it a teacher, a farmer , elder, youth, woman etc anybody having solutions and strength to actualize them. someone who can do alot given the chance. We need to break the cycle of oga or big man most be there. We like this, if you don't come with money or status in society you can't do it mentality. People wake up. The people killing this nation don't have strength we don't give them. |
Most is always be APC or PDP. Why not try other parties . We collective ignore other parties to hype this two none performing parties. I say people should learn to vote the right people regardless of party. |
SEGLIZ:Common sense isn't common after all. You said it all. |
