GreyLaw:My response is he has not being cleared and is still answering to the case in court. Don't forget it took immense pressure for PMB to even suspend him and his arrogance is a different that he never hides in the face of such allegations. He won't be answering to fault if none existed. That said a lesson I learned in Nigeria. That lesson is if you blindly follow a corrupt , incompetent or criminal politician or local champion nothing will change for you either religiously or ethnically and that is why we continue to fail woefully. Speaking about faith am a Muslim with strong admiration for Obi that's a Christian. Where does that put me when you say he is fighting for Christians? As far as Nigeria is concerned and I say it here and now. Nobody can go it without the other it's impossible. Because you will have people that will work for them from all the diversity. You will have votes from everywhere. Because in every twelve definitely you will have a Judas. I despise such corrupt leaders, because in the face of politics they use such issues to evade answering for the crime. He is trying to just make himself relevant as a champion to become immune or critical player. If not how do you explain his being in a committee that screened and nominated the list of VPs . How did they allow Muslims nominees ? If you ask me he may have hoped to be VP and now that he is disappointed he goes on ranting. Before I go please note BAT did a terrible thing and I will not support someone that refuses to recognised out sections of the nation. Maintain we have competent Northern Christians he could choose from. He shouldn't have listen to the political lies from some religious zealots that only what the VP slot too! For that am not voting him for his lack of inclusiveness and Sensitivity to the plea or plight of the others. |

ribbit:That part "it backfire". Is the fear a sensible person should have. What ever division created and planted by people, it will manifest and become a bigger problem for anyone that wins. People need to be guided. How they project this animosity all in the name of elections is wrong. If after the elections a winner is declared he begins to struggle with a deeper divide and ethno-religious suspicions or conspiracies. Why are we so spiteful and hateful of ourselves. There are other parties out there beyond the APC . The APC is not the only party. The beauty of democracy is you have a choice and options to choose from. No one should intimidate you. so that you are free to pick support and vote. Instead of all this rubbish hating. Online bullying, propaganda etc let's start talking about solutions and assessing the ideas or answer's aspirants have on getting us back on track. In terms of so many problems. As against all the hateful nonsense and petty blackmails all over. |
APC Tinubu messed up all round and am disappointed honestly with the attitude. He should have being just and fair to all. @Babchir Lawal how far have you returned the money you stole. Abi you carry lawyer dey fight the matter? What did God in the scriptures say about stealing from the masses. What does it say about lying? You dey quote.... Babachir Lawal should not be talking. Didn't know he was religious. Can't remember him apply such religious sense when he looted money from the Government over grass cutting and many more lies. When people of moral standing talk I think he should be remorseful and shut up . He took part in destroying the nation and plundering the nation. Now he can quote the Bible and give us morals . I weak for our politicians. |
Madmohamed1:Reverse it , imagine all nonsense said by Igbos against others and if same applies. Not to sound rude. It's not right to wish someone bad. It's not in any culture or neither is it moral on basis of faith. Remember forgiveness is most supreme in such cases. |
As a matter of fact am obviously not voting APC with this attitude. I need to find me a reasonable candidate. As a Muslim am very disappointed by his lack of fairness and consideration for others. You need to be just to all and frankly I will not stand for such attitude. It's wrong! wrong!! wrong !!! He shouldn't have listened to all those people advising him on such issues . It's clearly wrong and disappointing. |
Penguin2:If only it's in the interest of the masses, I would have being applauding it. This is how it should be and not a party thing. At LGAs , States and Federal level. That is why we have checks and balances. People in leadership need to answer to the people at all times and not during elections only. |
kettykin:You no see anti-christ docking for Delta and Bayelsa abi |

Do carry On!!. Don't stop until you get enough .... |
mamaafrik:You are the mischievous and ignorant one. Did you read the post? Can you see where the comment of a Fulani from the North admitting the qualities of PO? Can you also understand what he was saying when he said people like you should tone down on this your kind of tribal rubbish to allow people get to know PO. Why is it so hard for people like you to be diplomatic and allow people understand the candidates,a chance to even express themselves before castigating them. Why are you quick to judge or generalize? How are you sure every single northerner or Fulani Hausa is against PO. How did you arrive at that conclusion even after reading what Baba Ahmed said? Anyways do carry on, don't ever stop demarketing PO with your ethnocentric attitude and regional mentality. |
mamaafrik:You still post this despite reading what the OP quoted as a likely problem for the candidature of PO. Why is it people like you never never listen. Stop the ethnic politics and market your candidate for heavens sake. You are doing nobody good including PO. Will PO govern just the South should he win? Stop this retrogressive and petty regional mentality and instead promote the candidates credentials. So people to know him more and be close up to the candidate to appreciate and vote him it's how you win votes. By your terrible analogy you have already excluded a sizable zone without listening to them or reaching out to them. Are you certain he PO doesn't have support in the North? Or amongst Fulani/Hausa? Why making such conclusive assumptions and generalizations with first trying. Is PO now a vengence candidate or meant to frustrate northerners or Hausa/Fulani as a people? Listen to yourself sometimes and reverse the content and imagine yourself on the other side and how silly such comments seem while asking for votes from the nation to improve your chance of winning and running a successful tenure should he win. Instead of stoking ethno-religious hatred. Get small respect for others and consideration. |
Wrong move! Very wrong Move if does that. He better get somebody to bolster his position strongly in the North to avoid stories. I will suggest he takes a Northern Christian with good standing across the North. That carries political weight even if its from his or Zone alone. As it is I honestly do not support a Muslim Muslims ticket and strongly prefer he brings someone with strong understanding of politics, governance and economy to deputize him. Anyway na politics after much. Our own na to vote IN or OUT aspirants . |
Prettylima:As husband and wife abi ? |
franchasofficia:And you too. Also tell his party him winning as a president only for his party maybe a problem. Without having sizable Guber, NASS and local councils in his kitty , it maybe hard to push his Policies through should he win. So people thinking is for Obi to win presidency only are in for a long ride. His party should be able to dominate the National assembly and State governorship otherwise he may spend his entire term fighting opposition without any results o! So the campaign should be broad. Before and after elections. |
franchasofficia:Your efforts are laudable. When it comes to penetrating the North it goes beyond all that you say. You need to first undo the mindset built over the years of the bitterness between the SE & North. I maybe wrong but every bad or bitter thing said or done some people take it to heart. PO needs to come out strong to discuss this issues. I give you an example , people believe strongly he is pro-Ipob and religiously bias! They observed his support for MNK even when same asked for there heads or openly showed his hatred for them. Pretending it didn't happen won't make it go away. So he would need to be strong and open about it to assure people just like PMB did regarding the sharia saga that he is far from it. Because it may mean nothing to you but to others its existential . Because with some of the recent violence in the east and statements of hate across the Niger its hard to be heard. Its not only about money, Emir or Alhaji. but collective interest . His program on Berkete is one good way to start. More engagement as such on Northern radio stations can go along way. PO should take Q&A live on radio or TV and inspire trust, forgiveness, unity and prosperity. The consistent thought that North is for North may just be a myth. He should open up. He should be aggressive in his engagement to uncharted territories to avoid being only southern or SE. He should be comfortable everywhere. I am still undecided and not convinced by the candidates the way to go beyond the just throwing up names and ethno religious squabbling. The nation is in bad state . Economically, Security wise, Unity, Diversity, Statehood etc. PO has primarily emphasised education which i applaud but when he takes over how does he address security to allow every other thing progress? How does he treat secessionist, extremist, saboteurs of the nation, corruption and nepotism? We need to hear more. Other wise he isn't any different from the rest. For now I wish everyone luck. I also agree 100% we need to get it right. Before people compare and run sentiments lets e able to speak to one another. I observe all the contestants with keen interest hoping to see a true father of the nation , with a strong understanding of our problems able to unite us and driven by the zeal to change out woes. |
God1000:And MKO Abiola of SDP? |
Mokason288:Frankly I felt so too. Atleast even if you don't respect your senior , respect him as a visitor who brings you glad tidings. Some of us truly have lost our culture. May na money they deceive them abi celebrity fever. Hope we are wrong that he was the one who deliberately choose to stand sha. If not that's really not nice. |
If anything Wike is a man and a man of his word. He stood his ground despite all odds, made a point and kept to every promise he has made so far including when he loses he will remain faithful to his party and there final decision Nice one Gov. Nyeson Wike |
Saintinoo:At the moment forget talk he can't if it's the PMB we know. |
badoh:You should becareful with this generalization and the word North or Northern .Stick to individual name calling like such as Buhari. Right now the SW have significant support amongst northeners. When you begin to beat the drums of sinister moves or accusing everyone up north of being part of something they have no interest in , you may just be acting as someone betraying or destroying the bridges built. Nobody markets both BAT and PYO as northerners do. Simply because some political players have there own agenda to choose, it does not make that an entire north agenda . Don't do things that will deprive the SW of the support, friends and ally they already have won on the other side. For me and many more loyalty to good friends and allies is important above all. One good favor deserves another good favor is a thing. If you keep up with this wrong attitude. Breeding animosity where none exist, people may feel you have some kinda bottled up anger in return. It's best to keep your campaigns and support growing , stop all this Northern hidden agenda disinformation or speculations. The SW is better positioned now than ever to take over. SW is doing fine with efforts on ground this name calling or treats and lies are unnecessary and will not help your candidates or there allies in the North. It's politics, about different people and diverse opinions. There are always divergent view or desire in everything. It's doesn't mean there opinion is popular or reflective of the wider group. Hence the reason calling out every Northerner or generalization is unhealthy. If I may ask, why are you not calling out the Afenifere leaders who are openly campaigning against SW presidency and castigating BAT or PYO ? Is that the SW speaking ? Is it reflective of the entire SW view or agenda? Will it be safe to say the SW is against there own and in support of the SE. Just applying your your logic? Even when SW supported the north, you had people who did the opposite. As such going by your thinking the SW didn't support PMB or the north as well ! Let's stop all this silly wild goose chase to no where . There is nothing like a Northern agenda. It's nothing more than the political players acting in there interest. It's always about numbers and how much support you can win from all sides. Its not by black mail or propaganda. It is also true you can't win them all! I maybe wrong but BAT and PYO are doing well so far and have good support in the north as I see it and know. Courtesy of the relationship they built over time across the Niger. Make una no dey carry such bitter , strong mouth destroy that support that could give them victory. That's all am saying. Such misguided sentiments and cries are totally unnecessary. The SW should let politicians play it out and remain focus. If anything they should close there ranks not to have Afenifere or Obj dashing there candidates hopes. They are most favored at the moment. Thanks to the path of bridge building they have taken since inception of democracy. Lets stop all this North most be wrong or bad or vilified at all cost or even black mailed on this or that ! It won't help anyone or anything. |
Wetin I just dey reason, instead of always calling delegates together everytime why not allow this candidates and hopeful have a debate at the party national level online and let all delegates connect watch. They can call in to ask candidates or something . A simple virtual meeting of the state delegates via a zoom conference or something. You can imagine that everytime a candidate visits, the delegates and Gov. Is drawn to another gathering. Considering the number of candidates in both party it's gonna be boring sooner or later for delegates and Officials. |
Educating people is good . Equally the standard is important which is mostly by corrupt beings in Nigeria. You need to tackle the corruption and poor quality in education itself o |
shadrach77:Doubt you have used it. Lagos Ibadan good road ke...Do you mind explaining this. A very narrow road with alot of bad sections and sudden mad hold-ups due to the slightest vehicular breakdown. I don't think you are talking of the same road oo. |
Una think say because it's #100million na flying carpet Dem go use write. When you see the invoice dey cash contracts in billions you will cry then. |
Nonpartisan1:They won't , just like BH put fear into people. Making them helpless that they fear dying if they go against them or said anything against them. The situation is similar and that's how such groups operate through fear and intimidation hence they are branded bandits or terrorist. They bandits and terrorist plus there sympathizers can deny all they want.Until this thing here gradually mature to a dangerous dimension that if not managed BH could be child's play. Defending them and thinking you are helping or shying away from the fact they are your kinsmen is doing more harm to your community. All it takes to encourage and embolden them is silence, fear and community support .Today there fight it's about MNK or Akonso just like BH was about Mohammed Yusuf and other leaders. Tomorrow they will not even know what they are fighting for because that blood lust and violence has become a thing in there life and they understand nothing else but death and carnage. Only way to deal with this is be honest with yourself and let your children know this is not the way sooner than later . We pray for a return to normalcy in all afflicted areas of the country and the world at large. Let there be peace. |
SweetVibe:Hard to find person's like you that see it how it is. Always believing all this tales of a united conspiracy against a region is just hopeful. As far as politics is concerned power players are you everywhere scheming. Some get to win and others lose out. The constant lies about some religious and grand northern unity is filled with lies. The main trigger for the north choosing not to support was the continued threats from some of the GEJ loyalist and supporters. Daring others and thinking northern folks can all be bought if some major players were settled. Big mistake....otherwise the northerners that remained with GEJ such as Bal Mohd., Dasuki , Labran Maku,Jerry Ghana, Gusau , Shema etc did there best to ensure PDP and GEJ returned to power. But it had gone beyond that. The combined problems GEJ had with the nPDP, party mergers, the problem of Boko Haram and claims of massive corruption while GEJ stood by was his greatest undoing. Leave all this some unknown lone person leak agenda or some crazy dude drafts tales by moonlight from his dreams |
By shredding his passport he does not automatically stop him being Nigerian by records.People have being told this that all countries have procedures to renounce your citizenship and none include destroying your passport only. Processes are required of you to officially renounce or lose your citizenship. He ought to have followed it up with the needed request to FGN with his intent to renounce his citizenship. Otherwise all he has done is tear up his passport in showmanship. While officially retaining his record and citizenship with the government. Above all am very surprised he even had his passport this long with all the anti-Nigerian sentiments and advocacy.Wish him all what he wish Nigeria sha!!! |
Mine is an appeal. Please people! please people!! please people !!! Lets not do more harm to humanity , lets not become beasts , lets help, lets support and lets know. People are crying for there loss. People are in pain. The Dead is yet to rest and we as people continue to be beast like the criminals who carried out the dastardly bloody attack. Please lets put this hatred for once aside and face the menace before us and not let the culprits escape justice while we fight amongst ourselves This is a time we come together to help the victims and fight back against the criminals doing us harm. I am truly sad at this time and can't imagine what we as people have become. Please am begging you people, please am begging you to atleast allow the victims rest . We pray the departed RIP, healing to the wounded, fortitude to the families, strength and wisdom to government officials to do there work, justice for all the victims and an end to this criminals. |
deltaprincess:Am not BAT supporter. I totally agree that it's beyond the listed persons. Osinbanjo , Atiku, Peter Obi, Ameachi, state governors, regional elders, interest groups, voters etc. Can cause the BAT dearly, People make politics look very simple. The likes of PMB, IBB, OBJ & GEJ etc. by the OP can be helpful and key they are not the only power block in Nigeria to contend with. If you have your calculations done properly you can come out on top without them. |
But why can't the Igbo also use APGA a party that has has there interest. Most it be APC or PDP? They should grow APGA beyond it being an Igbo party of some region politics to a national Party with outreach beyond it's SE region. |
MALIGNANTGuest:Real IT |
Omihanifa:Government again to raise Children? Shouldn't the family and relatives or community do something. I think it's more do with up bring and building a family o. |
