LadyBeee: I had a child in 2015. Her father abandoned us and ran away, so I took up the responsibility of taking care of her till she was 4 years. Was staying in lagos with my mum. My mum later relocated to the village and requested that I bring my daughter to stay with her since I was still single and need to get married. My daughter has been my good luck charm since I had her. Things became so easy for me. My bank account trippled and God's Grace has always been with me. Everything she needed was provided for. Since I took her to my mum last year, I've been so lonely. I miss her so much. I plan to bring her back when I travel for Christmas but people re advising me not to try it because it would block my chances of getting married. But it's been one year since she travelled and yet, I haven't even seen the husband that I'm searching for. It doesn't make any difference if she were here or not. I even had suitors when she was still with me but now i dont even have any serious person asking for my hand in marriage. My mum doesn't want me to bring her back. I am also undecided about bringing her back. Please i need your mature advice on this issue. Thanks as I await your opinions. You had suitors and drove them away? Why didn't they stay? Is it your bad attitude? |

Magnoliaa: Nairaland and Social media?
Lol. What's Nairaland? And is Social Media an 'app' on its own?
I use Wattpad. Nairaland is a social media site too but it's more of an anonymous FORUM. They are a bit different. What's Wattpad? |

Giving him state police will yield nothing different, in my opinion. The man is hardly ever in Taraba in the first instance. Real clown of a governor. Can I get a room self-contain in Jalingo for 40k? If yes, where? I really need accommodation. |

chukzyfcbb: Yes na true but look beyond the surface.
It now means women can satisfy themselves sexually without a man.
They can even decide who can father thier kids, The condoms &oral contraceptive was created by us men and given them power to decide when they can get pregnant for us. We don't decide shitt
What happen to the Sex dolls men created for thier own pleasure? Dead and gone!
I may not expect you to see things differently, but man is constantly inventing technologies that will make the life of a woman much more easier, it's unavoidable.
You are smiling they now have DiL.do, well news flash you just created an invention that makes them do without you. Give her a Child and let her make her own money, most women won't need you for anything seeing DiL.do has been Invented.
But a man will always constantly be in search of that women to surrender and pledge his weakness to. it's how we are wired!

What do you use? Also, I passed the exams July and never went any further. Logged in some minutes ago and they are demanding I re-take the test again. |

brijibs: Anyways, I have an experience to share. I planned on sharing this just after receipt of last week's pay, to be sure. So, late Saturday night, I picked a 44min long call. Excited it was good call, I started transcribing. After the 500th timestamp, the audio won't load. I ran to slack immediately. And as usually, they blamed it on my network. While I was trying to sort this with them, I opened an incognito page and started the job afresh there. At this time, I had 6hrs left to submit the job. TL said the call had expired on me, my network was bad, and all sorts. I left her and simply did copy and paste. Then, I got to the 542nd timestamp and the audio stopped loading. I ran back to slack, this time, I was really pissed! An SCC came to help, she too could not load beyond 500. TL asked for screenshots, screen recording just to prove the call was still available to me, since she claimed someone else was working on the same call. I provided her with all she requested and waited. She said, I shouldn't bother continuing the job till they're able to figure out what the ish was. 30mins later, she call me, conducted another round of interview and hung up. But, before she hung up, she assured me I'd be paid for the length of time I'd worked on the call. But, it would be done manually, since I didn't get to complete and submit the call. Later, she apologized to me, that it was actually my email that was working on the call. So, it was a system glitch on their part. I was elated! And decided to share, but only after I'd received the payment and confirmed I was paid for the 32+ mins I'd worked on that call. Through the night!
So, I'm sharing this because, we have this notion that they favor Philipinos more. While that may be true, if you do you due diligence, you just might be able to hold your own. Congrats bro. How do you speed up your transcriptions? Transcribing 32 minutes audio would probably take you how many hours? 10 hours? |

khiaa: A nice wedding do not have to be expensive, it's only expensive when you are trying to show out and impress others. Honestly it would be wiser to invest that money into your marriage not a one day affair like a wedding. Use that saved money to build a house, preparing for your first child, or saving for financial security. I had an argument with a roomie who, for the most part, claims that most women want elaborate wedding. Hmm, you seem to be an exception. |

JideSM: Hello, may I know if the bulk SMS issue on your line has been restored as discussed? Hi Jide, I have been using my MTN SIM for, I think 9 or 10 years now (070 number) and in all these years, I have had to update my sim, not on one or two occasions. This is partly due to missing sim, NCC directives and other reason. The last time I did welcome back was in Dec 2017 in Ilorin. My sim has gotten missing at least 3 times and in each of these occasions, MTN had to capture my details again and demand what they requested to activate me... so I don't exactly understand what this update is about. is it every year or two that SIM needs to be registered? At one point, MTN promised me 5k if I update my sim. I don't understand this madness. If you lack a good database to store customer's infos, fine, but the onus for such professional misconduct lies on you, not on your customers. For goodness sake. I have used other network providers and they don't bark like you guys frequently do. Then MTN began to gradually disconnect me from their network. First it was, you cannot make calls but you could receive, and I actually couldn't make calls. Then it is, you cannot recharge, and finally, you cannot do anything. Make calls, check account balance, receive calls etc, etc. I am not kidding you, na condition make crayfish bend sef. If I had the means, you'd get sued idiotas. You think if all Nigerians do not know their rights, I am one of them? Idiots!!!! I was very reluctant but not for my sake, but the sake of people who needed to get to me, I had to go do the update in your registration centre today with my NIMC slip since I couldn't do anything. I cannot call or check balance or do anything, says unfinished. I went today and the guy assisting me could not get the OTP to me. We spent several hours there trying to get the OTP to my phone and still, no OTP. I waited for a long time and still, no OTP. What kind of rubbish is this? i am going to o ONE more time andd if I don't get it to work, I will send a video of me breaking the SIM and you'd have to watch it on Nairaland. My number is [removed]. Edit: Number has been removed on 03/10/2019 |
