Politics › Re: Peter Obi Like All Igbos Does Not Believe In Restructuring And State Autonomy by Balkan(m): 3:00pm On Aug 10, 2022 |
NuclearWinter: Why would he?
The SE survives on Federal handouts . A situation that was envisioned by Zik's Marxist centrist govt.
Did you hear him speak on State fiscal autonomy ? Never!
Dave Umahi is at least honest that his Ebonyi can't survive without Nigeria with federal handouts and so he rejected the Zionist Biafran project which he says will only see to his state becoming worse off financially .
So like every Igbo politician , do not expect Peter Obi to campaign on full state fiscal autonomy because his parasitic yeast would be the greatest tragedy if this was to be implemented.
Zik had warmed Igbo delegates and members of the old defunct eastern region parliament that an exit of the minority region from the old eastern region will see the region the poorest and employed all Igbo MPs to resist any attempt to see to the so-called minorities leaving the eastern region. When the matter went to the Federal Parliament owing to the Igbo dominated house stubbornly refusing to have the minorities present their case, the Igbos did the most unimaginable foolishness and assassinated all leaders of other regions including the PM who had thrown their weight behind the Minorities in the eastern region. The rest is history but history worth revisiting because it shows how desperate the Igbo man is to keep being fed by others and how their greatest nightmare is to be left to their own device. We do know that Igbos opened secret back door channels to get Gowon to integrate them back into Nigeria after the Niger Delta parts were liberated.
So from all indications, the Igbo have shown historically that they can not in anyway or form run their states without federal handouts. We saw the deadly silence from the Yeast after Wike's court victory over FIRS in collection of VAT revenue. Every other southern state governor applauded the judgement other than the Igbo governors .
Then there is the Igbo position on oil derravitive to oil producing states which they have always sided with the north . They kicked against OBJ's 25% derivative using third term as an excuse to throw both the baby and dirty water away. They sided with the north over the now settled onshore offshore dichotomy. A court ruled that the territorial waters are first the boundaries of the state and then the FG. Without that ruling, Akwa Ibom would still have been massively underdeveloped since all the oil revenue it gets comes from offshore oil wells. Let me not even talk about the disastrous PIB that Igbos sided with the north to make rubbish of.
So how does Peter Obi intend to fix the system that he is very comfortable working with?
Does Peter Obi think that the problem is solely leadership despite the obvious being the very shaky and unfair system?
As long as Peter Obi refuses to address the issue of restructuring , treat him like your typical Igbo Abuja based contractor turned politician.
. why do you cry blood each time the want leave the zoo? |

Villa12: I'm actually not a Yoruba but I've lived in Yoruba land, Lagos precisely for long
Any Yoruba, Hausa or fulani man and woman campaigning for Obi should have a rethink and retrace their step back. Though this isn't supposed to be so but you see those IGBOS have turned this election to tribalistic one. They have even turn it to religious one
I will support and vote for Tinubu. He has more achievements, antecedents and legacies to point at as a governor and when he left government than EVERY other contestants
Tinubu is very much accommodating and tolerance than other contestants. IGBOS are taking political position in Lagos. IGBOS are civil servants in Lagos and other South western states. IGBOS are doing businesses freely in Lagos and other south western region
Please go to any eastern state to see if you'd see any Yoruba or Hausa man as ordinary councillor. It is a TABOO to the Igbo
To them their igbo president in form of Obi is the best after bread and butter while others are nothing to write home about. Support Tinubu or Atiku and watch them curse, bash or threaten you. They accused you of being paid for supporting Tinubu or Atiku while them are doing it freely. They always insult the Fulani and Hausas and call them all sorts of names. They even call them cow, almajiri etc. They insult the Yorubas calling them fulani slaves. They condemned Nigeria as a country. Claiming Nigeria is a ZOO
ACHIEVEMENT- I WILL VOTE TINUBU TOLERANCE & ACCOMMODATING- I WILL VOTE TINUBU
For the northerners who reside in the north you can ask any of your family or friends living in Lagos and other South western states they will tell you how Yoruba are so friendly, loving and accommodating. Go to the state headquarter at Alausa ikeja you'll see igbos holding top position without any discrimination
Go to east and see how all positions are occupied completely by all igbos.
An average IGBOS are resentful, spiteful, hateful, bittered et al. They literally see themselves better, superior and more sophisticated than other tribes.
PLEASE verify this my claim if you aren't aware of it and make a decision on who to campaign and vote for

Igbos have always shamelessly sided with the north against any talk of revenue increase to oil producing states.
Umahi made it very clear that his Ebonyi slave colony can not survive without Nigeria that is, Niger Delta oil.
An Igbo presidency will benefit the parasitic north since the Igbo are equally parasites in the almagated slave plantation.

Jagabanofafrica: I dont know how CAN will feel like when BAT gain power in 2023 election with the way they a antagonizing Tinubu because of IPOB hatred towards him ... I said it some weeks ago that most of yoruba christians will vote for Yoruba candidate, though some of the IPOB members were not happy.
YORUBAS are not religion bigot because most of yoruba families have mix up of both muslims and christians in their family.
More Yoruba pastors will still come to defend yoruba candidate, Ibos are useless with their hatred towards Yorubas.
Fiery cleric and National Coordinator of Integrity Ministers International Ministries Bishop Kayode
Williams stated that there was nothing wrong in the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, picking a Muslim as his running mate for the 2023 presidential election.
The cleric maintained that not all Christians were in support of the position of the leadership of CAN on the Muslim-Muslim ticket issue.
Williams, in an interview with The News Nigeria, stated that his ministry will be “Supporting Tinubu, and we are going to work and pray hard because it is a directive from God.”
He said: “If you look at Bola Ahmed Tinubu, if you look at his antecedents you will know that he’s a man who always studies very hard. Before he makes decisions and even when he starts because we are following him.
“But God has decided to ask us that His candidate from heaven to earth is Tinubu and that we as Integrity Ministers International Ministry should support him and collaborate with him, so we are all round moving with him to know the steps he’s taking.
“So when he got to the issue of a Muslim-Muslim ticket, Bola Ahmed Tinubu did not just jump into it. As a strategist, he asked somebody to hold on for him until he was able to consult widely, looking at the implications and consequences that will follow if he chooses the wrong vice president. At the end of the day, he came up to tell the nation that he was ready, that he is settling for a Muslim like himself: Kassim Shettima.
“Immediately there was uproar as citizens started reacting even gentlemen of the press were probing the funniest and of it, all is the religious body led by the Christian Association of Nigeria a highly respected body of Christendom in Nigeria.
“And they were also trying to make sure that they do it; that look you have to think well, which is not bad advice.
“But the greatest insult to Nigerians is that CAN categorically said Christians must not vote for anybody that picked a Muslim-Muslim ticket. Is that from God? Is that not too emotional? Does that not make them look like they have sympathy for other parties? I do not think that is the duty of CAN. Of course, CAN is seen as an umbrella body of Christians but it is not all Christians that are members of CAN.
“It is an association and with all due respect to the leaders whom I know and respect. But I do not believe that it must have been from God because the belief is we Christian leaders decided in our meeting that no Christian should vote, they did not tell us that God has spoken to them. Where did they hold the meeting? Did they carry all the 36 states Chairmen of CAN along?
“Did they make sure that all churches in Nigeria were involved in the decision or they’re just forcing everybody and coercing all? I think the propaganda they are now raising has even gone to the level that when the presidential candidate brought out his nominee as vice president and they said that they saw some people that looked like marabouts, they look like mechanics they are unknown.” how will you make a country you destroyed work again. The Ethic card is stale. The youth have discovered your lies. The only campaign strategy you have is playing the ethnic card. Tinubu is can never be president. It's Obi or Atiku |

Politics › Nbc Fines Dstv, Tstv, Nta, Trust Tv N20m Over Documentary On Banditry by Balkan(op): 7:07am On Aug 04, 2022 |
The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has imposed a fine of N5 million each on Multichoice Nigeria Limited, owners of DSTV, TelCom Satellite Limited (TSTV), and NTA-Startimes Limited for broadcasting a documentary by the BBC Africa Eye titled, “Bandits Warlords Of Zamfara”. Trust Television Network (Trust TV) was also fined N5 million for the broadcast of another documentary titled, “Nigeria’s Banditry: The Inside Story”, which was aired by the station on March 5, 2022. NBC disclosed this in a statement titled, ‘NBC Sanction PayTV Platforms’ issued on Wednesday. August 3, 2022, and signed by its director-general, Balarabe Shehu Illela. Recall that last week Thursday, the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, noted that the Federal Government would sanction Trust TV and BBC for “terrorism glorification” in their documentaries. Mohammed said the federal government was aware of the “unprofessional” documentary by the BBC Africa Eye, where interviews were granted to bandit warlords and terror gangs, thereby promoting “terror” in the country. While appreciating the need of educating, informing, and enlightening the public on issues bordering on developments and happenings within and outside the country, the Commission advised broadcasters to be circumspect and deliberate in the choice and carriage of contents deleterious to Nigeria’s national security. Consequently, NBC said the airing and carriage of these documentaries, contravened the provisions of the Nigeria Broadcasting Code, Sixth edition. The relevant sections cited include “3.1.1: No broadcast shall encourage or incite to crime. lead to public disorder or hate, be repugnant to public feelings or contain offensive reference to any person or organization, alive or dead or generally be disrespectful to human dignity; ”3.12.2: The broadcaster shall not transmit a programme that incites or likely to incite to violence among the populace, causing mass panic, political and social upheaval, security breach and general social disorder; and “3.11.2: The Broadcaster shall ensure that law enforcement is upheld at all times in a manner depicting that law and order are socially superior to, or more desirable than crime or anarchy.” NBC said the imposed penalties on the broadcast media platforms and station was to be remitted not later than August 30, 2022. It said failure to comply will lead to the imposition of a higher sanction as provided in the Code. NBC enjoined broadcasters to be instruments of national unity and desist from falling into antics of using their platforms to promote and glamorise subversive elements and their activities. “Please note that every broadcast station or platform is responsible for the content it transmits or transmitted on its platform, and shall be held liable for any content in violation of the Nigeria Broadcasting Code,” the Commission added. https://leadership.ng/nbc-fines-dstv-tstv-nta-trust-tv-n20m-over-documentary-on-banditry/ |
