Shock and anxiety has taken over a community following the sad death of three people after they consumed a poisonous fish.

Three persons have died and seven others are on admission at the Margarete Marquart Catholic Hospital in Kpando in the Volta Region after consuming a ‘strange’ fish, Adom News has reported.

According to the Hospital Administrator, Hanson Torde, 10 people from Alavanyo reported to the hospital last two weeks with the complain of stomach upset after consuming the fish which they said they bought from the market.

“Three out of the 10 lost their lives,” he said.

The hospital, he said recorded four similar cases on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 with same history from Torkor, a fishing community in Volta region.

Ridiculous reports emerging on social media have indicted security operatives in Ibadan over an act tantamount to s*xual abuse.

Men of the Oyo State Joint Security Task Force, codenamed "Operation Burst" allegedly ordered that a lady be s*xually assaulted as punishment for dressing indecently, Tuesday.
The group, made up of policemen, soldiers, and NSCDC operatives, was re-launched on August 4th, by Governor Abiola Ajimobi to curb crimes in the state.

However, they are notorious for beating innocent civilians who they think are improperly dressed.

A 2011 report by The Nation said that girls and women who wear trousers or short dresses were harassed by the personnel.

Men who wear earrings, dreadlocks and Afro hairstyles are also beaten up. It is not clear if a lady's breasts were sucked as the Twitter user claims due to the non-provision of pictoral or other multi-media evidence.

One question that is likely to be greeted with suspicion, instead of a straight answer is "How many women have you been with?"...researchers have now answered. According to a recent survey of 1,000 Europeans and Americans by a health and s*xual wellness site based in the U.K, DrEd.com, while a majority of guys said they had no trouble being honest, 22% of American men with an average of 16 partners reported that they would lie and undersell the amount of women they’ve slept with if they were forced to reveal their s*x number.

But more than 30% of both men and women stated they don’t share their sexual history with their partners because they don’t think it matters.

So, how do you approach this awkward conversation? Should you change the subject? Lie? Pretend you didn’t hear her and carry on with dinner?

As for lying? Both Mark and Bell insist that honesty is the best policy. You don’t want an old fib to surface later in your relationship, which could destroy any trust you’ve built.

A man has shocked people with his really weird lifestyle as he claims that he even feeds on live electricity when he gets hungry.
Naresh Kumar, from Muzzafarnagar, northern India, claims that he has a unique gift. Not only is he naturally insulated against high voltage, but he can allegedly draw energy directly from electricity, so he doesn’t need regular food to survive.

42-year-old Naresh says that he discovered his unusual powers completely by accident.

He was at work and touched a live wire, by mistake, but nothing happened.

Most people would have probably thanked their lucky stars and vowed to be more careful in the future, but not this guy. Instead, he decided to explore his “superpower”, by grabbing even more live wires and eventually realized that he could use electricity as an alternative to traditional food.
“Whenever I feel hungry and there’s no food in the house I hold naked wires and within half an hour I’m satisfied. I eat electricity like it’s food,” Naresh Kumar told Cover Asia Press. “I can touch any electrical appliance like a television, washing machine, fridge, and an inverter with my bare hands and it doesn’t affect me. In fact it helps my energy levels. I think about 80 per cent of my body is composed of electricity now.”

Naresh is so obsessed with his natural insulation that his house is full of live wires that let him tap into his favorite energy source whenever he likes.

“There are no switches, and sometimes my children and I fear we’ll get an electric shock,” his wife said. “But because he’s obsessed with touching naked wires they are left like this. He even uses his bare hands to switch different appliances on and off.”
“I know I’m unique—not everyone can do this. My wife is not impressed but surely other people people will be,” Kumar told reporters.

He’s right about that, as videos of him holding live wires in his hands or his mouth have been doing the rounds of social media, and he’s already been dubbed “India’s Living Light Bulb”.

To be fair, though, Kumar isn’t the only person in the world who can withstand high voltage without suffering injury. In the past, we’ve featured Slavisa Pajkic, aka The Human Battery, or “Electro-Man” Raj Mohan Nair, but neither of them claimed to feed on electricity, so Naresh has that going for him.

A 16-year old girl who was a victim of s3.xual abuse has made a shocking confession, saying that she cannot do without having s.ex with men daily.

She narrated how an old man, who was their neighbour at Mile 12, Lagos State, southwest Nigeria, lured her into s3x at seven and since then she cannot resist having se.x everyday.

The pupil said if she did not see any man to have se.x with her in her area, she would go to a popular under bridge at Mile 12 Lagos and beg for s.ex from touts.

She said she came from Enugu state to Lagos to live with her aunt after the death of her father.
Her case has become so serious that she had to be referred to an NGO, Community Health Support and Empowerment Initiative, COHSAEI, which has taken up the challenge to rehabilitate her.

The little girl said she was lured into s3x by a man she called Baba who lived with her aunt in the same compound.

She said the man (Baba) usually called her to his apartment whenever his wife and her aunt were not around and will put his finger inside her pr!v*te part.

“He will tell me to come back home immediately our school closes and when I reach home he will be waiting for me to finger my honeypot,” she narrated.

She said with time he started having real s3.x with her.

She said when the man that initiated her into it moved out of their area, she resorted to meeting other men in the area without her aunt knowing.

She said she has become addicted to s.3x and cannot do without it.

“When I desire s.ex and I do not see anybody to do it in my area, I will go under the bridge and beg the touts to do it for me,” he said.

Her predicament came when she confessed to her teacher what she was going through after the teacher noticed some abnormal behaviour in her. The teacher contacted her aunt who contacted an NGO for assistance.

The programme coordinator of the NGO, Mrs. Priscilla Ingbia, noted that her case was very pathetic because of her age. She said her group took up the challenge to rehabilitate her because it was clear if nothing was done urgently her future was in danger.

She said her organisation has started the process of rehabilitating her by carrying out series of tests on her to ascertain her health conditions.

Ingbia stressed the urgent need to relocate her from her present environment and start a new life for her.

She said her organisation has not been able to do so because of the financial cost of doing so.

This is very disheartening. A 10-year-old girl who lives with her uncle in Gonigora, Kaduna state has been left with horrific burns on her buttocks after being maltreated by her uncle’s wife. According to reports, the little girl who is out of school – was allegedly brutalized by her uncle’s wife Mrs Remi Joseph who ‘burnt her buttocks’ with fire and reportedly abandoned her without treatment last Sunday.

A well meaning neighbor reported the case to the “Presenter of Oga landlord on Capital Sounds 90.9fm”.

The woman has been arrested and charged to Court.

The Lagos State Police Command has revealed 20 kidnappers were killed, during the process of rescuing the six abducted students of Igbonla-Epe Model College.
Fatai Owoseni, the State Commissioner of Police, stated this on Friday while briefing journalists on the rescue operation.
The boys were released 64 days after they were kidnapped from their school premises.
Owoseni however regretted that one civilian volunteer died during the rescue process, while eight policemen and four other civilian volunteers sustained injuries.
“We have responsible security agencies that don’t want to sacrifice the lives of those children. Our objective was to do everything possible to get these children alive, unhurt and that’s exactly what has happened,” he said.
He added that a suspect was arrested, for trying to swindle the parents of the students by demanding ransom for the boys’ release.
Owoseni praised the South-West Governors, “for demonstrating a clear commitment to combat crime in the region.”

A 41-year-old man, Sikiru Odejide, who has been sleeping with his 13-year-old daughter since December 2016, has said it was the hand work of the devil.

Abimbola Oyeyemi, the Ogun State Police Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, disclosed that the arrest of the randy father was as a result of a complaint from the victim’s mother, who has been separated from the man.

The victim’s mother said her daughter came to her house to inform her that her father had been having carnal knowledge of her since December 2016 with a threat to kill her if she dares tells anybody about it.



“She further complained to her mother that she could no longer bear the frequent sexual assault from her father, hence she decided to inform her mother.

“The DPO of Sango Police Station, SP Akinsola Ogunwale, detailed detectives to effect the arrest of the randy father, who lives in Onihale area of Ifo Local Government Area of the state.

“The suspect, on interrogation owned up to the crime, but attributed it to the devil’s handiwork.

“Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Iliyasu, has ordered that the suspect be transferred to anti-human trafficking and child labour unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation and possible prosecution.

“The CP equally directed that the victim be taken to hospital for proper medical attention,” Oyeyemi said.

An Ethiopian woman found herself lucky to escape alive
after being bitten by one the world’s deadliest snakes, a
viper as she slept. According to reports, she did not seek
medical attention, however just three days later, was left
fighting for breath after her throat and tongue swelled up
rapidly.

In a case that has baffled doctors, the 20-year-old was
rushed to hospital where she was eventually told she had
caught a bacterial infection from the snake’s mouth.
The unnamed woman, from Ethiopia, was diagnosed with
Ludwig’s angina, which makes the sufferer feel like they
are being choked or strangled.

It is highly unusual following a snake bite, according to an
article published in BMJ Case Reports.
