Everyone in the supplementary for cadre 08 are support staff. I applied as an Entry Level Quantity Surveyor. For me it's a huge leap if employed, even in private sector Customs salary scale is for like 5 years experience licensed QS so i may drop all what i am doing and take it if invited. But if i am in the private sector earning 250k+ in a different industry with potential for growth i may have to reconsider. I worked as an HR intern in a large organisation and they are people there earning bàstard money legally.

As for time and less stress i am not so sure, this isn't a normal FG job it's paramilitary. I have also worked as a QS in the millitary during NYSC,Monday to Sunday you can be call upon, Leaves are difficult to take. Only our Ogas here can clarify that.

Follow your heart and pray well, Forget the job security they all talk about. Only God can secure a job, anything can happen anywhere even in custom. The extra money most people are eyeing in custom is gotten mostly through unhanded practice and many still won't see it (Especially support staff). While some people are earning millions in private jobs legally and some even got opportunities abroad. Depends on your preference.

My advice, zero your mind now until first batch training is over. 3 months for support staff and 6 months for general duty, eh gey y. Na for your health. Make sure you have access to your email and phone cause you will be contacted for the next stage if u are successful. Ask for God's grace to be shortlisted first

The way this thing be self, those first batch would they be seniors in rank to the 2nd batch? In terms of promotion and every other stuffs. I am certain they will be at least a year gap between both or it will cause problem if customs is anything like the millitary or police.

. Once again stop holding onto straws. NDLEA , everyone that was successful was sent success mails at the same time. Documentation was staggered. U mean ICPC cannot send 220 mails and tell some people to come at a later date for documentation? Better forget about this recruitment as it is over. Customs just published more than 500 names. JAMB just gave more than 200 APL's. If you still believe in the 2nd batch, you are neophyte. It won't happen. Tell your connect he is lying to you.

I believe this supplementary list is to filled up the areas they really need, They need some professional courses that are rare like health related or Quantity Surveying. If you studied some courses and you applied at a time they desperately need it you don't even need Godfather or slot, it's automatic employment. One time the Army (DSS) were looking for geology graduates, Six people who studied the course that applied from one school all got it without knowing anybody. So no matter the slot, or Godfatherism, LGA issues they are some courses that are just too important to sideline.

Im just checking the list as well and i saw someone from my local governments got the job, though he got consol 03 and im applying for consol 08 position now. Those that affect my chances that someone from my local government already got custom job ?? Please people respond and throw your perspectives

Let's all get this straight. That your local govt already has a successful candidate shouldn't stop you from applying. It's not like they're asking you to pay money for the application.
They said they will be recruiting at least 1 person per LG across all level no mean say some local governments won't have two candidates. Na naija we dey. I believe katsina state already has all it's position occupied buh mark my words, they will still have successful candidate in this supplementary recruitment.
4 candidates across 774 LGs equals 3096. If NCS sticks with them recruiting 3200, it means 104 LGA will have an extra candidate.
So, Please, apply o, Whether person don come from ur LG or not.

Bros.. Apply for MSc in USA, admission takes 2 weeks max. Get a sponsor. Go for visa interview, pass and boom! You in America. If you never get money for school fees, defer admission or just forget about going to school once you're in if you don't mind doing menial jobs. America is too big for someone to be looking for who is illegal or not as long as you don't get into trouble. If you need further guidance let me know.

I got a whole lot of mentions from people who don't even have a passport.
1. There are universities which gives out admission without you paying for school fees upfront.
2. I still stand on my words that if you provide the right documents, admission takes 2 weeks or 3 max.
3. I just applied to a university two weeks ago and i have submitted all documents, should have gotten feedbacks but last week was thanksgiving holiday so hopefully if i get a response on Monday I'll post it here. Funny enough a friend applied with HND and got the admission.
4. I have not forced anybody to apply, i only said what i am very sure of.
5. Apart from the OP i didn't ask anybody to contact me for any service.
6. I wont entertain any questions, do your researches by yourselves. I am supposed to drop names of about 3 schools you can apply to and they'll waive things like application fee, GRE, IELTS if you message your course coordinators to tell them this is so so so requirements you dont have and give them reasons why they should waive them for you, but since some of you are just bent on bringing others down and saying things you dont know, i wont drop any name, do your researches too, afterall it took me months of intensive research to get the information i have.
