... Later she said she didn't know how to do the sending stuff on the phone that I should leave the cooking I wanted to do and come send the app to her phone which I sharply replied her that I am busy! She immediately asked for what I wanted to do and I said I want to cook rice. She was against that! Now before I proceed. I told her yesterday that I'm going to pay someone a visit the next day and I may spend the weekend there. And the rice that just finished today was the rice I bought for #2150 when one of my younger brothers and his friend were planning to visit me sometimes ago. I continue: She said don't cook the rice let's cook indomie. Me that doesn’t like indomie much coupled with yester night’s hunger plus this morning's hard labour. I insisted I will cook rice. I would've even grudgingly managed the indomie had it been that she'd cooked it b4 I finish the Bush cutting. She didn't. So I just washed the rice then poured it into the pot on fire. She was angry that I shunned her on the request to send an application at the detriment of my own health/stomach. That was only my perception. She just came to me in the kitchen few minutes later and angrily said " U are cooking that rice being the last because u know u will not be at home tomorrow so that only me will face the hunger, well, u know what that is called, selfishness " I laughed within myself. And I was still planning out of my foolishness of over caring attitude to buy small rice for the house from my pocket before going to where i told her i will be going to so that she will have something to eat before i return and before we will get our pay. When she said what she said, I was tired and hungry and also felt like it's not every statement of ladies one should respond to especially when they are angry. So I kept moot! Please, among the two of us who is selfish? She was reserving the last food for herself and starving me, and not even making the efforts to cover it up by quickly cooking the indomie before I finished the hard labour of cutting grasses. So I ate the rice and when I was ready for the place we were going to I called her and she said I should go that she was not ready for the program which she would’ve, on a normal day she will ask me to wait for her, so I went. While coming from the place I bought another small quantity of rice hoping her statement of me being selfish was just a slip of tongue, She got home before me and I met beans on the fire. She wasn't there when I dropped the rice in the kitchen. The beans got burnt and it was the odour that made me went to the kitchen.... |
... came and all the grasses in the compound of the house began to grow. Let me quickly narrate the story to you. The summary is that I began the clearing of the compound here on one Saturday and finished it on Thursday of the following week! That part of the works in this house was one of d reasons I allowed her into this house. There is no much food in the house today and that was one of the causes of d disagreement. Food shortage has always been our problem in the house that two or at least one week to the time we will collect our peanut salary food items will have finished that I will always need to spend extra money before we'll get money to contribute. Like this month now, I dropped #7,000 for food. She did the buying and I consider it a bad habit for her to come back from the market and I begin to scrutinize all she bought. So I usually leave her with everything. Soup finished last week. I had to drop additional #500 for another soup on Monday when we couldn't bear it again. Rice totally finished today. I also finished the clearing of bush in the compound today. I worked so much yesterday and all I ate was small rice and D spagg that she cooked with it. In fact that rice was cooked the night before. Now after I ate that rice yesterday by 3pm, I was so tired. Around 6:30pm my neighbour went out that I even asked her b4 she told me she was going out probably to look for network. She didn't return until like 8:30 to 9pm and I was so tired because of the work i did, that I found it difficult to walk down to the kitchen to cook. I den decided to drink gari. This morning again I worked so much to ensure that I finished the work of d Bush clearing. And there was also a program we must compulsorily attend today. I finished the cutting around 8:15am. And it's a usual thing that she goes out without eating, she mostly eat when she comes back from that particular program. But with the hard labour I did coupled with the fact that I didn't eat much yesterday despite the job, I couldn't do that with her. And I just quickly went to the kitchen and picked the last quantity of rice to cook for us to manage. She also came out and was asking me she wanted to collect one application like that from my phone.... |
Received this message in my email on Thursday 28th May, 2015. A nd according to the sender he needs advice from every reader... I am a working class part-time student in a polytechnic situated in a remote area of one of the states in Nigeria who earns nothing more than #20,000(twenty thousand naira only) monthly. I was lucky to find a very beautiful house whose owner was a relative and was just concerned with having someone who will be taking care of the house. The house is very good to behold with big compound filled with bushes. The landlord who happened to be a relative of mine stays in the city and only comes home occasionally. He handed over the house to me and I kept leaving in a four (4) bedroom flat. Later on, the job of the house became quiet much for only me to cope with and I decided to beg my relative who is the landlord to allow me bring one more person with me so that we can easily keep the house clean. The job of the house includes cutting of grasses, mopping of the big sitting room and also cooking in the house. The landlord after series of plea accepted that I should bring just one more person with me that he doesn’t want too much people especially students who will scatter the house for him since he doesn’t need their money. I then purposed in my mind to find a lady who will be able to help me in the house and not guy who could easily turn something else overnight. I even thought about the cost effect of living with a lady than a guy which one of my friends concluded that I can still cope at a minimal cost per month since the lady is not my girlfriend. Luckily for me I found a lady so beautiful, smart and intelligent who is also from my tribe and brought her into the house. She is also working, receiving almost the same peanut like mine but couldn't get an apartment. With first impression we kept moving on with each other until this raining season..... http://bamisepeters..in/2015/05/he-is-confused-and-urgently-needs-your.html?m=1 |

The Nigerian Army has dismissed 290 soldiers for allegedly refusing to fight the Boko Haram insurgents. Human rights lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Femi Falana disclosed this Thursday. According to him, “I have just confirmed that a total of 290 soldiers were dismissed yesterday by the authorities of the Nigerian Army. The letters of dismissal were distributed in Jos, Plateau State and Ibadan, Oyo State. Before the dismissal, the soldiers were subjected to orderly room trial. “Even though they pleaded not guilty to the charges of cowardice and failure to fight the Boko Haram sect, the dismissed soldiers were not tried by any court-martial in line with the provisions of the Armed Forces Act. It would be recalled that the Nigerian Army also sacked another batch of 200 soldiers in similar circumstances in December last year.” Falana added that “apart from the deliberate refusal of the military authorities to respect the fundamental right of the dismissed soldiers to fair hearing guaranteed by the Constitution, the punishment meted out to them cannot be justified since the Federal Government failed to equip the armed forces at the material time. Indeed, the belated onslaught launched against the satanic Boko Haram sect by the Nigerian Army has been attributed to the military hardware recently acquired by the government. “As the soldiers are ill-equipped to handle the weapons the military authorities have admitted that ‘military instructors’ have been engaged from South Africa to train them. “In the light of the foregoing, the authorities of the Nigerian Army should annul the illegal letters and recall the dismissed soldiers without any delay. In the alternative, a programme should be designed for the rehabilitation of the dismissed soldiers. Otherwise, many of them may be driven to criminality since they had been given military training at the expense of the nation.” http://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2015/05/28/boko-haram-290-soldiers-dismissed/ http://bamisepeters..in/2015/05/290-soldiers-dismissed-for-allegedly.html?m=1 |
A Federal High Court in Lagos, on Thursday, dismissed the suit filed by some disaffected subscribers challenging the recent 20 per cent increase in subscription rates of MultiChoice’s DStv platform. The subscribers, Osasuyi Adebayo and Oluyinka Oyeniji, both lawyers, had filed the class action suit on behalf of themselves and other DStv subscribers in the country. The plaintiffs had sought an order of the court restraining MultiChoice from effecting the new rates, which began on April 1, 2015. But in his ruling, Justice Chukwujeku Aneke upheld the preliminary objection filed by MultiChoice and described the suit an abuse of court process. The judge rejected the plaintiff’s argument that MultiChoice did not deserve to be given right of audience, having failed to abide by an earlier ex parte order of the court restraining the company from implementing the rates. Justice Aneke said the court was bound to entertain arguments from all parties before it, notwithstanding the alleged violation of the court order. The court also ruled that the suit disclosed no reasonable cause of action, given that the plaintiffs were not obliged to remain MultiChoice subscribers on account of the hike in subscription rates. Justice Aneke also upheld MultiChoice’s argument that the suit failed to comply with mandatory provisions of Sections 97 and 98 of the Sherrifs and Civil Processes Act, which stipulate that a writ to be served outside jurisdiction must be concurrently issued. The second defendant in the suit, the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC), based in Abuja, was said to have been served without compliance with the provisions of law. The plaintiffs, through their lawyer, Yemi Salma, had urged the court to discountenance such argument, as Section 19 of the Federal High Court Act, clearly defines the jurisdiction of the court to be one within Nigeria. Salma also urged the court not to punish any irregularity in the issuance of the writ on the plaintiffs, as such emanated from the court, stating that such irregularity could be corrected by the court in doing substantial justice. But the judge rejected the argument of the plaintiffs and upheld the objection. He was also reticent on an argument by the plaintiffs that the objection should be considered an attempt by the defendant to get the suit dismissed without filing any process to the substantive issues, something that has been abolished in the rules of court. In the instant suit, MultiChoice only filed preliminary objection, and did not file any process against the substantive suit. Earlier in the proceedings, the judge had rejected attempt by human rights lawyer, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, to opt out of the suit. Adegboruwa had filed an application to be joined as a co-plaintiff, but later sought to opt out. Justice Aneke said he was persuaded by a Supreme Court decision, which stated that once an objection is raised challenging jurisdiction, the court was duty-bound to first determine the objection before entertaining any other application. According to the suit, the plaintiffs had sought an order of the court compelling the NBC to regulate the activities of MultiChoice so as to prevent what they described as arbitrary increase in subscription rates. They specifically urged the court to impress it on NBC to be alive to its statutory responsibility by ensuring that MultiChoice is compelled to implement the pay-per-view scheme in Nigeria, whereby subscribers would only pay for programmes they watched, as was being done in other parts of the world where MultiChoice operates. But MultiChoice, through its lawyer, Moyosore Onigbanjo, argued that the plaintiffs had no cause of action, as a court did not have the power to regulate the price of services that a business was offering to its customers. The company further contended that neither the government nor the court could regulate prices in Nigeria, being a country that operates a free market economy. The company pointed out that under its conditions or terms of agreement, especially Clauses 40 and 41, it was at liberty to, from time to time, change the fees payable by subscribers for the services being offered by the company. http://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2015/05/28/court-dismisses-dstv-price-increase-suit/ http://bamisepeters..in/2015/05/court-dismisses-dstv-price-increase-suit.html?m=1 |
A French bartender has received a suspended jail sentence after being convicted of manslaughter for serving a man 56 shots during a drinking contest which lead to his death. Bartender Gilles Crepin, 47, admitted he had made a mistake by displaying the shots record on a noticeboard as he received a four month suspended sentence by a local court on Wednesday. Mr Crepin has also been banned from working in a bar for a year, and his lawyer has said he will appeal the ruling. Renaud Prudhomme, 56, broke the shots record at the bar called Starter in the central French town of Clermont-Ferrand. He had spent the evening with his daughter and friends who helped him home, but the emergency services had to be called and Mr Prudhomme died in hospital the following day. “It’s a decision guided by emotion and the unconscious desire to set an example,” said Renaud Portejoie, Mr Crepin’s lawyer, who had called for the case to be thrown out. Portejoie said his client bore no responsibility and that it was the man’s daughter who had pushed him to break the record. In addition he cited existing respiratory and alcohol abuse problems. “We can’t ask every customer who buys alcohol to present their medical certificates,” he said. Antoine Portal, a lawyer for Prudhomme’s daughter, said his client was not at the bar at the time of the competition and that she approved of the year-long ban on Crepin’s future work as a bartender. “My client is relieved by this decision. “We want to remind some professionals that it is illegal to serve alcohol to clients who are in an advanced state of inebriation.” http://bamisepeters..com/2015/05/bartender-convicted-of-killing-man-who.html?m=1 |

Criticism of the write-up is allowed but getting to the right person(those with the same thought) is my motive behind posting it here... Everyone should know the role they play for a relationship or marriage to last |
Someone told me that "a woman cannot change a man because she loves him, but a man can change himself because he loves her." This may be true and false at the same time... But do you know that if he doesn't know what you want from him he may not change? And by showing him what you want, what are you doing? You are changing him alread! You can't change a man in the sense that a man that really loves a woman will definitely want to do what the woman wants so as to always be favoured by her. In a case whereby the woman doesn't like some of the behaviours of the man, the man might change because the happiness he wants from the woman has to do with him adjusting some of the characters that is not in line with the desires of the woman. What i have said above will only work when a man is just about approaching a woman to declare to her his intentions. Definitely, someone whose some or all of his characters are not good knows, so, for you to win a particular woman whose way of life isn't in agreement with yours you have to adjust. Many men out there will be ready to change quickly because they want a woman, but after the woman agrees will the man retain that good habit he portrayed when he was still proposing? He can only retain those characters for a while, but because whatever you borrow you have to return it, your own real behaviors will start roaring its ugly head, this is why you should be yourself when you want to be with a woman for a very long time. When you pretend you will definitely unknowingly show your real colour one day. If the woman gives you a Yes, good for you, and if it is a No, good for you at the same time. One thing i want you to know is that no matter how bad a man or woman may be, there is a man or woman for every man or woman. You will never be happy if you pretend when you are dealing with a woman, so also a woman, you don't need to pretend to your possible man. When you are open and you let him or her know who you are from the beginning then your problem is solved. This is for him or her to know where to touch so as to get the best of you. A woman can change a man and a man can also change a woman. Courtship is meant for knowing each other and making each other to be compatible. During this period the two intending couple are to make themselves open for correction because marriage is not something you can just venture into without proper compatibility. There are so many ways a woman can change a man without being rude or harsh about it. In a real relationship, a woman has power over the man so also does the man have power over the woman but it takes wisdom to utilize the power. When you say a woman cannot change a man or vise versa then there is no need for courtship. Before marriage, you have to know yourselves and blend yourselves to your taste and it is the result of this blending that you reap in your marriage life. You have to show yourselves some things you don't want in your partner and the possible lasting solution. Nobody is perfect but there is still personal perfection which you gain as a result of your influence on someone.... Read on http://bamisepeters..in/2015/05/courtship-and-marriage.html?m=1 |
I don't know how it happened but someone forwarded it to olufamous.com and we thought it wise to share this with you guys: DIVORCED COUPLE RE-UNITED Brethren, please join me to thank God for bringing back this couple together again. When I first heard that this powerful man of God and his wife were divorced, it broke my heart, and I knew that something was wrong somewhere, for a servant of God to divorce his wife. However, this is an example of what God can do. When all hope was lost, and people were running their mouth, then God did what he alone can do, destroying the works of the devil that was operating in this family and brought them back together again, to show that God does not condone or tolerate the divorce of his children. Remember, the devil does not take it lightly with any true and serious child of God who wants to do God's will. He wants to do everything possible to destroy their lives, but no matter what happens, God will give victory at last. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, may God continue to strengthen and use you mightily for his kingdom in the mighty name of Jesus. All glory to God http://bamisepeters..in/2015/05/good-news-pastor-chris-oyakhilome-and.html?m=1 |
