Hello my people, my brother wants to evaluate his credentials through IQAS. How reliable and efficient are they? I would also like to know what they evaluate HND and ND as in Canadian education standard. Is it 2 years Diploma respectively? |

Kontagious: Your educational background has no correlation with your NOC but your work experience, job description to be precise. Now, 10 years experience as a banker is generic as a "marketer" has a different NOC to one who is a customer service representative.
What is your job title? You'd get answers when that is known. Thanks for the response, I am asking on behalf of a friend. He has basically spent all the years in operations and he is presently the head of operations for the branch of the bank he works at. |

ugoiyke79e: you can prove your wrk experience by attaching the following along with a properly worded LOE/self attestation letter stating that your employer has declined to give required letter.
1) whatever correspondence btw you and your employer concerning this request. 2) whatever pattern of reference they agree to give you( infact u can even accept an embassy introduction letter sef so long as dem gree talk say u be their staff) 3)Your Emplyment letter 4)any promotion/Posting letters/appraisals...etc 5) pay checks / highlighted pages of bank deposits frm ur employer 6)Get a supervisor or senior colleague to give u a cic-standard refernce letter written on a plain sheet and signed along with name, desigmation, bizness card and contact details....PLS let him her follow d standard format.
Cheers. Yeah you are correct, I had the same issue with my employer. So I submitted the correspondence mail with HR as well as a letter of introduction to Canadian embassy in Nigeria from my employer. I also got my unit head to write the reference letter in CIC format on a plain sheet while I scanned his business card with the letter at the lower right hand corner. I attached all this in the placeholder for my present employer as a one page document and CIC was fine with it. I just explained to CIC in my LOE that my employer does not give their reference format to present employees. Just follow this approach and you will be fine. Goodluck. |

percee17: Please quick question. How much dollars do I need for 2,380 CAD? Whats the Card conversion rate please? You need $1790 if you use a Standard Chartered Bank Domiciliary account card (I paid the same amount) while I heard that GTB deducts $1950 for 2,380 CAD. But Standard Chartered Bank has the best CAD to USD conversion rate. |

Dammiehar: COPIED FROM A THREAD, FOR THOSE WHOSE APPLICATION IS AT IP2 STAGE
Guys at IP2: I just spoke to a very friendly agent who confirmed that the application has been approved on the exact date that my application went into IP2. I asked her about the long wait and she gave me a reason that I had not really thought about. She said the office has been dealing with a massive back log that has extended passport wait times. So they are currently focussed on clearing that backlog before issuing a PPR email. She said that since the app is still within their 6 month target they have not prioritized sending out the PPR email. I hope this gives some relief to the guys at IP2!"
So people whose application is at IP2, pls relax, your PPR email is on the way. |

flyhigh1881: Dear E-family, finally received the much awaited PPR!
I can't explain my joy. It has been a very long journey. Entered the pool January 2016 with crs of 432(I think) and got Ontario nomination and accepted because the draw score was quite high then. We submitted Ontario application January our application was finally approved December 2016(one full year). We got ITA December and submitted our application January 2017. AOR 20th January. Got ADR February, submitted and since then status has been not applicable. Ordered GCMS and realized our application was been processed in London. When we completed six months we sent a mail( thanks to greetings for the sample), we got another ADR. This time requesting for military records because my husband mistakenly ticked yes to that NYSC related question. Thanks to ugoiyke79e who responded to someone who also had same issue, we submitted copies of nysc discharge certificate, nysc call up letter and a letter of recommendation from one of officer in charge of the military school (because he served as a teacher in the military school) and a LOE explaining our mistake and stating he didn't serve in military. After submitting, we sent another mail telling them we have submitted the documents they requested for and this afternoon, my husband got a mail for him to check his box and behold, PPR. I thank God it all ended in praise. This thread has been so informative and I thank everyone for their contributions. It is very very important to read as you will get answers even before you ask.
Like to acknowledge some people for their good work here. JesusDway, duppysho, vcole, zandora, 40manlappy, boldinc, ehrnie, mummyjaygirls(funny woman) and all others too numerous to mention. God bless you all.
PS. The PPR mail didn't indicate where to send passports to, is it strictly Accra? Am I to print the imm form and send alongside the passports? Congratulations!!!......I can smell PPR rain tonight |

MummyJaygirls: PPR next week CIC works in mysterious ways, the fact that one is in IP2 does not guarantee that the golden mail will come within 2 weeks. One just needs to be hopeful and positive. I have friends that have been in IP2 for the past 3 weeks and no PPR yet. The bottom line is that it will come at the appointed time, so that high bp can be avoided. |

wapu: I'll advice you apply for a remark in reading of you can wait for 10 weeks and also apply for a new ielts (if you are bouyant enough) just to be on the safe side. Its not advisable to advice for a remark in reading because it is objective and your score won't change. The best bet is to apply for a new IELTS exam. |

Beckyhopeful: Pls house, what is the procedure for this passport submission and pick up?Will CIC Ghana send an email once my passport is ready for pick up? How will I then get my passport back? Also, Preferably which DHL office in Lagos should I visit that is familiar with the process.Thanks. The DHL office on Akin Adesola Street in VI is familiar with the submission of passport. I have friends who sent their passports through them and they have received their passports along with COPR. You will get a mail for pickup from CIC, just go back with a print out of the mail and consent letter with 20k or so for them to pick up your travel documents from Ghana. |

Bros park well, the recruitment can't be based on who is in power. That kind of crap only affects the Gmd and those in the top echelon at the corporation. madri4u: I heard if Gudluck losses this election, the NNPC recruitment will b cancelled. Dats why PCL/NNPC stop d interview based on d logistics word..meaning after election outcomes. If buhari wins, dis recruitment will b cancelled and another fresh one conducted.. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: NNPC Aptitude Test On December 6, 2014 by Bambalee(m): 7:13pm On Mar 17, 2015 |
@Snazzyjay You are missing the point, the quota system does not come into play during the test. It only applies during the interview stage, so those that had above the cut off mark are grouped into their respective states. My point is how will 175 candidates from Ogun state compete for 10 slots while 15 candidates from Yobe state compete for the same 10 slots for their state? So what I meant is that the odds are in favour of those from the North. snazzyjay: You should have human face to every issues of life.
The addition of North Central, North West and North East has not even summed up to 750 that is only given to South West yet you still complain it should be reviewed?
May God help this country to better the future generations. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: NNPC Aptitude Test On December 6, 2014 by Bambalee(m): 3:04pm On Mar 17, 2015 |
Good afternoon house, I just read the quota breakdown of the last recruitment by executivegej
South West (750) --- Ogun(175), Ondo(135), Osun(120), Ekiti(115), Oyo(105), Lagos(100)
South South(650)--- Delta(165), Edo(125), Rivers(125), Cross River(100), Akw-Ibom(80), Bayelsa (55)
South East(600)--- Imo(150), Anambra(135), Enugu(120), Abia(115), Ebonyi(80)
North Central(340)— Kwara(70), Kogi(70), Plateau(70), Benue(40), Nassarawa(35), Niger(30), FCT(25)
North West (200)— Kaduna(45), Kano(40), Sokoto(35), Katsina(30), Kebbi(20), Jigawa(15), Zamfara(15)
North East (150)- Borno(35), Taraba(30), Adamawa(30), Bauchi(30), Gombe(15), Yobe(15).
No-thanks and Thanks to Federal Character, equal number of candidates would be selected from each states, tentatively pegged at 10.
To be selected, you must meet at least two basic criteria. (1) You must have the highest average score from your Local Government area in your state, no room for second best, except for special cases. This implies that for Candidates A & B from Lagos state. Candidate A from Lagos state with a score of 70% can be picked, and Candidate B from Lagos state with a score of 80% is not picked, If Candidate B fails to meet the above criterion.
(2) You must have the best “10” or whatever no. to be selected highest average score from the bests of each local govt. from your state.
Ties in average score will be broken to favour the female gender i.e if a female candidate score is the same with a male candidate
It is sad that the quota system being propagated by the federal character commission is killing this country. I don't understand why the North should have the same quota with the educational advanced and competitive South West, South South and South East states. I am just of the opinion that the quota should vary depending on the number of successful candidates per state and not equal quota as it is in Nigeria. |
