Following Sam Allardyce's admission to hospital on health grounds, another manager may have succumbed to the stress of top-flight management. Sources in Saudi Arabia say that Ademola Ade is not there on lesser Hajj, but is instead seeking medical attention at Riyadh hospital. Ademola Ade's PR team have so far refuted these rumours, but this strikes a discordant tune to the assertion of rival manager El Gee that Ade is terminally ill, and will be replaced as Gateway boss.

In a further twist, Gateway assistant manager Goodluck Sosiepriala has claimed that he is being pressured to resign his position. This is because Gateway FC's constitution mandates that the assistant manager must step in if the manager is incapacitated. This has caused great consternation with the power-brokers at Gateway FC, who believe that Goodluck Sosiepriala's appointment would go against their power-rotaion agreement. The power-brokers believe that the position of manager of Gateway FC should be reserved exclusively for citizens of Ogun State. The whole FPL waits with bated breath on the outcome of this impasse.
