courage54: As a Niger-Delta man who has sympathy for his fellow kins man I have decided to support and vote GEJ if only he will agree to contest for the 2015 general election as the chairman of OTUOKE local Government council Area, because to me that is the only post I think he can run effectively well without rankle due to the fact that Nigeria is too big for him to handle. My Reasons for endorsing him for that post are as follow:
1. I don't want a president that will continue to tell me that stealing is not corruption, that means I can steal and nothing will happen.
2. I don't want a president who single handedly supervised a recruitment exercise that claims the lives of more than sixteen graduates without taken any drastic action against the organisers and the minister in charge.
3. I don't want a president who has single handedly supervise the looting of billions of dollars without charging anyone for corruption. After all to him stealing is not corruption.
4. I don't want a president who can not keep to his promises. Because in 2011 he promised us that before the expiration of his four years tenure the issue of power will be resolved, but as am typing this now the little fuel in my generator will soon finish.
5. I don't want a president whose happy new year gift to his citizen is an increase in the price of petroleum just like the case in 2012.
6. I don't like a president that keeps bad company whose best friends are sponsors of terrorism, rogues and criminals such as the likes of Amodu Sherriff, Fani Kayode, Alamasiagha, Bode George, Stealler Oduah, Abba Moro, Alison Maduake Daziani, e.t.c
7. I don't want a president that is been controlled by his wife, to the extent of her dictating to other elected governors what to do.
So with these few points of mine I think GEJ will be best fit for a LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMAN.
God Bless Nigeria God Bless Niger-delta God Bless U all
Sai Buhari . Better pikin ur children will definitely thank you for this decision |

robosky02: Jonathan named most performing president since independence
Abuja - Dr Doyin Okupe, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, said on Friday that President Goodluck Jonathan, remains the most performing president the country has had since independence. Okupe said this at the Public Affairs Forum held in Abuja.
The four-day forum was organised under the auspices of Okupe’s office to highlight the achievements of the Jonathan-led administration. Okupe said that although previous Nigerian leaders performed well within the circumstances they found themselves, none of them achieved half of what President Jonathan have achieved in four years.
The presidential aide described as "nonsense" claims that the Transformation Agenda of the President existed only in the media. "It is nonsense to say that the Transformation Agenda of Jonathan existed in the television. We have not spoken about what he has done. We are going to overwhelm Nigerians during the campaign."
He said it was regrettable that not much had been done to sell the good performance of the Jonathan`s administration to Nigerians. Okupe, however, held that past Nigerian leaders contributed immensely to the development of the country to their best abilities as each of them recorded his own achievement. He said that the Jonathan-led Federal Government would showcase its achievements to Nigerians during the presidential campaign for 2015.
This, he said, would convince the people that Jonathan remains the best option for the country in the years to come. He, however, advised Nigerians to shun the antics of the opposition, saying that in spite of their criticism, they had not told Nigerians what they would offer, if given the opportunity to govern.
"This election will be a ‘no contest’ affair. We are telling the world what Jonathan has done. We will not stop until well beyond February. 2015," he said.
Also speaking, the Minister of Transport, Sen. Idris Umar, presented the ministry's achievements in the last four years during the event with the theme "Jonathan`s administration: Four impactful years''.
He said the resuscitation and modernisation of the Nigerian Railway system had reached an advance stage. The minister highlighted various stages of work on new and existing rail lines in different parts of the country, many of which, he said, would be completed by the end of the year.
He stated that the Jonathan-led administration had repositioned the Nigerian port system in line with global best practices. The administration, he said, had also increased the use of inland waterways and enhanced maritime safety and security. The minister said that the administration had also improved the inter-model coordination of the Nigerian transport system and enhanced private sector participation in transportation in the country.
"These achievements have certainly impacted positively on the actualisation of the Transformation Agenda of Mr. President to the overall benefit of the Nigerian economy and the citizens," he said.

freezone4real: Where Is Our Money- ?
We all remember what happened last year when CBN governor alleged NNPC and FG of non-remittace of petroleum sales.
Minister of finance admitted, after all arguments, counter-arguments, reconciliation , etc that $10.8 was unaccounted for. The CBN governor said it was $20b.
The question is whether $20b or $10.8b, where is the money?
In February 2014, PWC was called to do independent audit and since then we have not seen or heard any thing on the sum.
As a qualified accountant, you don't need more than a week or two to audit an account but let us assume the volume is much, one month should be enough. The audit has taken more than 6 months now. Where is our money ?
Where is our$10.8b according to minister of Finance ?
Where is $20b according to CBN governor? . I thought you are even talking about the 1000 they collected from innocent jobless youth for NIS |
Politics › Re: I’ll No Longer Tolerate Those Insulting Jonathan – Okupe by bangiskings: 8:17am On Oct 31, 2014 |
etunoman76: Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe, has stated that he is ready to tackle any Nigerian who takes delight in disparaging his principal, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan.
The presidential aide said he was tired of tolerating “misguided jokers” who continue to bring their President, government and its institutions down.
In a series of messages posted on his Twitter page, he stated that there were many good things about Jonathan and his government that Nigerians should be proud of and showcase for the world to see.
Boasting that he would deal with those who say “rubbish, insult my principal or disparage my country,” he added that he “can’t stand lack of patriotism or respect for an elected President.”
He accused Jonathan’s critics of failing to see beyond their nose, adding that the majority of them are “obviously handicapped” on issues relating to nationhood.
Claiming that Americans do not abuse President Barack Obama like Nigerians allegedly do their President, Okupe described Jonathan’s critics as “shameless, unpatriotic and ignorant.”
According to him, fifth columnists who believe that there is nothing good to say about Nigeria “can go jump into the bar beach.”
“Some are shameless, unpatriotic and ignorant jokers. What I say is based on the facts that I have. If you feel that there is nothing good to say about your country you can go jump into the bar beach. If bar beach is too open for them, they can try Lekki beach or Kuramo waters. Nigeria will definitely not miss you.
“Nigeria conquered Ebola. But for foreign commendations, many would have reacted in denial. They say we are the largest economy in Africa, yet many still bellyache. Some people should bury their heads in the sand like ostrich, Nigeria will move forward without you.
“If you talk out of pure hate for your government and out of cerebral emptiness, we have a duty to help you. US citizens do not abuse, or disparage their nation. What is intellectual in ridiculing your nation from an ill-informed point of view?
“Why is it that many people don’t talk like stakeholders in this nation? Do you think it is trendy to ridicule your state? Shame on you. Many words are necessary for the foolish,” Okupe added.
He literally caused Jonathan’s critics, saying, “The more you destroy your country with your foul mouth the gloomier your future.”
Insisting that he was up to the task of tackling his principal’s critics, Okupe reeled out what he called his achievements, stating that his brilliance saw him graduate from medical school in record time at 24.
Besides, the presidential assistant noted that he would put to bear his experience as spokesman for former President Olusegun Obasanjo and image maker for two different political parties in countering the activities of Jonathan’s detractors.
“Different strokes for different folks. I don’t speak on behalf of those who put their President, government and its institutions down. I love and enjoy what I do.
“I thank God for modest achievements. I love achievers. I can never stand morons or nitwits. I am the only Nigerian who has been spokesman for two political parties and for two Presidents,” Okupe explained.
But an online commentator, Oluwatumininu Olowe, carpeted Okupe for his online vituperations, saying his actions were unbecoming of a presidential spokesman.
Olowe observed that it was not surprising why Okupe is often labelled as an “attack dog” by many public affairs analyst.
“By their name -attack dog – we shall know them. But this action of Okupe is unbecoming of a President’s spokesman,” Olowe added.
Also taking a swipe at Okupe, a Lagos-based online activist, Segun Bamidele, expressed concerns that his comments were embarrassing.
According to Bamidele, it is “disgraceful to Nigeria” to have someone like Okupe in the services of the Presidency.
“If being the presidential spokesman means you must refrain from saying the truth like Okupe does on a daily basis to defend the government, then good luck to you,” he added.
