GEJ actually made a mistake rushing to make the statement absolving MEND. But has anyone considered the fact that he might have made the move cos they had prior knowledge or reasons to believe IBB might try such, afterall some days back Henry Okah's house was raided and he was interrogated before his recent arrest, also Dokpesis' recent trip to south africa, it might all be assumptions but me suspects a link. and MEND would claim any form of sabotage to get fame, im sure if MENd had been in form during the ikeja bomb blast they would have claimed responsibility, me feels we should let the game play out, GEJ's camp made a childish move with the text, but its a political turf and every move is allowed after all other political camps have used the bomb blast to say he is not capable to rule the country |
For corporate clients who might need more out of their internet and at a reasonable cost: The picture shows the speeds across networks. isp 1 is kkon isp 2 is ipnx isp3 is starcomms izap with a cummulative bandwidth of 857/214 kbps at real time of 1pm. and a peak of 1030/315kbps. Imagine bandwidths at night when most subscribers on the different isp's are down. imagine if you were paying for same from one provider alone. The total cost of these bandwidth is starcomms : N14,950 ipnx : N39,500 kkon : N42,000

A very nice step. Just search your heart if its about wanting to show love and raise a kid and not just about wanting the world to see you have a kid (for those who do not know you) then please do go ahead. You have to realise the same people who would talk about the kids are the same people who would make jest of you not having a kid, they would still talk, so follow your heart I have an elderly friend who is about 40 and just adopted a girl, they joy on her face and the love the kid is receiving makes me appreciate adoption, ive been to some orphanages and no matter the presents or weekend love you show to these kids its nothing in comparism to a homely love!!! |
i can offer you another solution, which i believe gives you more functionality than antamedia, it is the H.ex. with the h.ex. you can set up multiple hotspots in different locations with different internet service providers. the billing database is hosted on the internet or you can host it locally and create a WAN. Become an I.S.P. with the resources of a cafe from your cafe you can provide internet access to customers within a 20km radius. which obviously makes you a service provider. we can also supply you with reliable and affordable client access radios. send mail to klisboneconsult@yahoo.com or call 08021323231 |

why depend on on the vsat or one service providers? The need for a ‘fast’ internet service provider cannot be argued. But the down time associated with service providers is always over looked, downtimes are an unavoidable issue considering the numerous issues associated with running a business in Nigeria et al power, man power, , vandalisation etc. With all this issues considered, I would like to introduce the BNA, this is a bandwidth aggregator. This hard ware is a one-sided Internet bonding appliance that provides aggregated Internet connectivity to cyber cafes, small and medium size businesses , enterprises, apartments, hotels, hospitals and other multi-tenant buildings via aggregating multiple Internet access lines for increased performance and reliability. With the BNA, multiple DSL, cable modem or T1 services can be combined to provide higher speed and more reliable Internet access. The BNA combines multiple Internet access lines, each on a 10/100baseT Ethernet interface, into a single aggregated Internet access line, again on a 10/100baseT Ethernet interface. The aggregation over the Internet access lines is done even for a single session, providing the full aggregate speed. The BNA supports aggregation of up to 6 Internet access lines and additional cellular data cards. Each Internet access line may be through a DSL modem, cable modem, T1, satellite modem, fractional DS3, DS3, fiber, cellular or any other broadband connection. In simpler terms the aggregation converges the bandwidth from 6 different service providers into a funnel and out into your network as one source. Technical Specifications Cellular data WAN connection (optional) - BNA supports the cellular data module via an optional PCMCIA bay or via a usb port. Through these interfaces a cellular data card can be plugged in as an additional WAN connection. The cellular data card can be configured for failover-only or always-on. In fail-over mode, in case of all the wired Internet access lines failing, the cellular data card will take over in less than 30 seconds. Link failure recovery & link failover -In case of Internet access line failures, the BNA keeps the ongoing sessions alive by retransmitting the lost packets over the available access lines, even for the sessions in progress, without loss of data integrity. Additionally automatic failover protects against failures of one or more access link outages. 2G/3G cellular cards can be added as standby WAN access links for additional reliability. Hot-swap failover - Optional dual unit installation enables instant hot fail-over to the standby unit. Advanced QoS algorithms - All traffic routed through the BNA is intelligently managed to prioritize real-time traffic. Additionally a unique set of proprietary algorithms are implemented to improve inbound real-time traffic latency metrics such as VoIP applications. Dynamic DNS load balancing - BNA can be configured to provide Dynamic DNS load-balancing for inbound requests for internally hosted servers such as web-server, ftp-server, mail-server etc. Transparent installation – The existing Local Area Network does not require any changes. No coordination, new equipment or software is needed from the Internet Service Provider(s). A remotely accessable browser-based management interface provides quick and easy configuration and system monitoring. Additional features include: DHCP server (can be turned off), state-full firewall (can be turned off), port forwarding, DMZ, UPnP support and others. |
depends on the owner/user of the mast. i have such at onipanu and i paid the owner of the mast N30,000/yr and a tailor beside the mast N25,000 to house my inverters and switch and power the inverter. |

hi, went back to your post in 2008. wanted to know if you have set up your isp now |
im not a regular poster but these, has got me cracking, been scowling all day and a staff enters and sees me laughing my head off and had to call another staff to ask me 'if i was ok', lol |
this is a reply i gave to a client to setup a hotspot from his cafe. you could basically do the same and maximise your service delivery. we have more people using their personal computers/laptiops and who hate not having privacy to work in cafes and who just need these servies in their homes(madam needs facebook/ kids need research)and offices and at a fair price(pay as you go) i could offer you a 'h-exp' billing server, which would enable you host your billing on the internet/ intranet, and replicate hotspots/cafes localgovt wide/ state wide/ nationwide using the same billing data base, which means your billing access is dynamic, your user in hotspot A/cafe A can travel to another state and use it in hotspot c/cafe c seamlessly (you could also disallow such function). it has a windows interface for configuration which is quite simple. for your base radio: short ranges, we could use an engenius acces point: longer ranges, you can use a 5.5ghz/ 2.4 ghz alfa radio, for your clients they can use NS5 or NS2 ubiquiti radios for longer distances and we have the usb highpower alfa adapter . also we could offer you, a bandwidth aggregator , which means you can use uo to 5 dsl/lan service providers and one cellular service provider (e.g. ipnx + swift + k-kon + cobranet + hiway + mtn 3g = one single bandwidth source). this simply means you could subscribe for the minimum service plan on any of this networks (they would always allow you burst) and converege all of them, imagine the bandwidth you would have available and you reduce down time, cos if any goes down it auto balances and it would not be noticed by your clients. klisboneconsult@yahoo.com, 08021323231 |

@ kanita the first few lines of my post should be simple enough for anyone on this 'thread' to understand. And I'm selling a device to manage a network, so definitely its for network admins, anyone interested should have a network engineer or consultant for advice. digressing a bit from my marketing, when sourcing an ISP, you have to consider that every ISP has base radios scattered at various locations , and due to congestion(normal 'naija' scenario of ISP's overloading their network), management decision(due to economically viable areas/ subscriber base), bandwidth available might differ. for example i could recommend you using ipnx within the ojo axis but would hesitate on the surulere axis. thats why a poster said something about asking for referrals and if you don't want issues ask around your location or intended location about service delivery from subscribers already on that ISP. for the records, i have nothing against the ISP you represent!! |
kanita: can you explain what you mean. are you confused on the functionality or just being funny. if you are not kidding what can you deliver to me?, |

Beebsyn:its not a network. the BNA is a device, it aggregates bandwidth from different ISP's. to get a good idea of the potential. if you are using 3 different isp's concurrently and each have burst capacity of atleats 512 each. combining the three gives you unlimitless possibility and down time on any doesnt cripple your network. for isp's that give you bandwidth limits. you can use the BNA to regulate usage period for networks that run 24 hours. |
