University is a weird place with different set of people. majority of who are confused or purposeless. As a fresher, most of ur course mates will want to brag abt their intellectual ability. Don't be intimidated, especially if u ar an average student. Some will even stand in class and challenge d lecturers as if dey knew better. But ironically, most are empty barrels. See urself as an average student that enthusiastically seeks for improvement on a daily basis. Work with d previous set and get d right materials. Make judicious use of ur time and surround yourself wit d like minded people. Humble yourself, be smart but dnt be dubious. Dnt isolate yourself inorder to be informed. stress is inevitable, prepare for it. Above all, know God because He's d only one that can make u succeed. Wish d very best. 2 Likes |

If a person tells u "I'm gay" he/she does not mean is homosexual. It simply means "I'm fine" but if its " I'm a gay" that is homosexualism. This two sentences shuold not be misunderstood. So the appropriate heading for this thread should be " I'm a gay" thanks. 2 Likes |

Elliotwiz1: they Jews today don't say tithe because they believe in Judaism, their beliefs are different. And tithe is paid to a someone who is spiritually higher than You're, who was higher than Jesus when he was on earth?? No one, so he need not pay any tithe. brother, ur ignorance amuses me. Why was christ baptise? Was he a sinner? But Inorder to fulfill all righteousness. Yet he's our Lord. This shows hw important baptism is. But he neva spoke or obsever this ritual called tithe. I cant help myself but to laugh on this honorable thread. To be sincere, u guys av done a very good job. unilorin is a very dramatic school, and speculation is the best u can get. I can sense the tense atmosphere, u dnt av to worry too much. one day this thread will be deserted and a new one will spring out. The list will be out 2mrw or on saturday said Director of comsit affairs but incase nothing show, na their own P be that. Jst enjoy urself because unilorin dont worth the mental stress. All is well. Hi guyz, i jst wanna chip in concerning d VC matter. Prof Ambali signed d names of merit students of UME, DE and qualified REMS students wen he came bck frm Ghana three weeks ago. The list is over approved ready, list of successful candidates is already in each falculty. moreover, the VC is comin bck a week b4 d convocation( all tinz bein equal). The list will be out b4 nxt wek runs out. If u kwn u dnt merit d course u applied for, dnt expect ur name. The second list will be tough, connection, religion, catchment area will speak loud. WISH U GUYZ ALL THE BEST. |

University of Ilorin released it 2013/2014 first batch admission list. The names of successful candidates was sent to each faculty yesterday. long leg lecturers are now trying to view the list to see if their candidates made the list. The list will be paste on the school website any moment from now. Speaking with the director of COMSIT affairs, he said the uploading had been completed, but technicians are working on the site to make it more comprehensable for easy registration and reg will commence immediately. Either u believe this post or not that is ur own headache. Admission list will be out nxt week (comfirmed). currently uploading. The list comprise of UTME merit students and qualified remedial students ( first batch). school resumes on 23rd of this month but academic activities will take it full effect a week after d convocation. Unilorin is not on strike, though school is dry, any lecturer or group of lectures that engage in this act will face sack penalty. i will keep u guyz posted 4 any latest development, reporting frm unilorin campus I am .................. |

To as many making prediction @ d corner of their rooms, unliorin admn process is unpredictable, one may say it's soon and it turn out to be far, vise vicer. Even d VC Prof. Ambali can't tell u d very day,but it will be within a duratn that can't exceed september. Since remedial students results as jst been released, i sense d first batch is very close. Keep on praying, press bottons, be vigilant, must importantly put ur mind @ rest. All is well!! |

After the long meeting held yesterday to finalize the 2013/2014 admission cutoff. Here is the outcome Faculty of art: English- 54 history-50 linguistics-52 CRS&IRS-50 comparative-50 yoruba-50 Faculty of science 50% 4 all courses except biochem 55%. Faculty of law this is unbelievable but law aspirates have the poorest perfomance. combine law - 50% commom law- 55% Faculty of education 40% for all courses Faculty of engineering 60% 4 all courses except Agric engin 55%. Information and communaication science mass comm- 55% computer science- 60% faculty of social science 50% for all courses. Medicine and phamacy - 65% with 230 in jamb. finance- 60% accountancy- 60% I got this frm the officer incharge of admission 2013/2014 session,i dnt want to mention his name and to clearify doubt i saw it myself. If u dnt knw, d total number of rems student is not up to 40% of total admission space, we neva subtract dose dat failed either UTME or REMS exam. Rems result neva determine wen admission list will be out, in 2011 d admission list was released before rems result, so dnt pass wrong information. Mind u i dnt say d skul cannot reduce d JAMB cut off for rems result bt I dnt nd won't believe it untill d admission list is out nd see rems students dat score bel,ow 180 bt above 160. Wat hpnd then was that there was a mix up, but evryone that pass d exam saw his/her name on d list. After then results. But do u hear of such tinz in previous or last yr? Result do cum out b4 d list bro. And abt d %, 65% is nt an exageratn. My set was 3000+ and more than 85% of us were admtd which shows that we ar more than an average of d total list. And i was privilege to be in FUFU in march, d number is still d same. Bro abt d 180 stuff, that is jst on paper, my frnds that scored 170+ wen there was no mass failure were admtd and cleared, ask any ex remite. I jst pray that all of u will be admtd, welcum to "better by far" in advance. |

4 those who ar confuse abt remedial list. It is ment 4 remedial students who get above 180 in jamb and pass their remz exam. But this yr remedial cutoff in jamb is officialy 160( mass failure). Remz result wil be out any time frm nxt week, wen admn processing will fully take effect. No dffnce bwt remedial or ume, d only tin is that remedial students dnt av to lobby 4 admn, it's authomatic, and dey do congregate up to 65% on d admn list. |

from what a prof told me, unilorin is nt giving out slots to lecturers this year. And there will not be general cutoff as earlier been speculated. The first and second list will be pure merit, base on departmental cutoff mark which as been fixed but can still be review. Jamb is ment to shedull d first list. The supplimentry list is ment 4 staffs biological children who perform below expectation. Hope dey will not scatter it? Wish u all d very best. |

Hey... Gud morning to u all, jst wanna chip in concerning the second choice issue. From all indication, unilorin have no plan 4 second choice this yr. The only people that might be consider frm second choice angle may be d remedial students' because they ar "first class citizen" and 4 aspirants of medicine and law, nothing less than 240 ad 220 in jamb is expected and in ur postjamb, 80+ and 70+ respectively. And for those whose score below 200, u guyz av to work hard in ur postjamb, accordin to d index of unilorin this yr, 12000+ score above 200 includin the second choice who ar yet to be invited inwhich only 5000+ can be admitted. Wish u guys the very best. |
