But osimhen chuks are the naija born players I believe, not sue if I forgot to mention anyone else Same person a colleague is arguing with me that he's very much older than 25(which was my bar). His point was that, he knew him from the hood, and na "egbon" dem dey call am I fended him off and insisted I believe what I saw. Someone we all saw grew up right from u17, is the one he used to call "egbon" Na this same thread people disputed Chuks and even Kalu. Some of us haven't come to accept the fact that things have changed and we're breeding young players. He believes KC's age, but not Victor. Worse part, he's a journalist |

TechDaddy: If Mancity accept this deal, it's going to be more of marketing reasons than sporting reasons. Messi's commercial value is bigger than half the Mancity squad combined together.
But then that's not even reasonable. Jesus & Silva represent the future of city. Holding an average of 8 years of top level football, they're what many teams would die to have in their ranks.
My opinion: Click bait, false news, impossible! Leave them make dem dey dream there They way fans dey reason dey funny me |

You said he generates 200million Euros for Barca yearly. I will ask, where did you get this figure as a fact? Is Barcelona the national team? Wetin concern me concern Argentina? Am I an Argentine? Whatever he does there, I could care less. I'm a Barcelona fan, and his achievements with Barça is all I care about. Now back to the point. He kept losing, so, he's not human, he is a robot that can not get tired. Or he is Jesus that sacrificed himself, in this case for Barça, right? He's human, 4 humiliations. I can't believe you're dragging him for leaving. That's the highest of it. 4 humiliating exits. Now I'm flabbergasted. How can you even attack him for that? Which kind wahala be this. I understand the man is tired, I would be too.. but he should understand that Barto and his incompetent board does not represent the interests of thousands of socios and millions of fans worldwide
After all Barca has done for him, I mean we pay him the most (he is the best after all).. Barca even ran a support campaign for him during his tax issues and the fans adore him I am not saying he has not earned the right to leave whenever he wants... I am just saying he should at least earn us few €€€
Dazall That was the second time. What about the first time? When there was rumors he wanted to leave because Barça stayed out of the case and lent no support? There's no way Messi is leaving free. Y'all better calm down. Definitely not up to 200m, but more than 100m, that we would lavish anyway |

I think you are scared the club will sink into oblivion without him that's why some people here are desperate for someone who is already drawing a curtain to a glittering football career, to still remain at the club. Well, I am not. You're mistaking me for someone who cares about Messi leaving or not. I already said it here after Bayern he should leave. So, I repeat, idgaf if he stays or leave. jpmoriarti: You are the one allowing emotions to cloud your judgement.
In my experience as a professional in my field, i have learned to not cry over spilt milk.
Messi, on his own volition, drafted a fax, which will rescind his contract with the club, then proceeded to send it to the club and then shut the door for any prospective negotiation, claiming the decision is final. Yes, i want Messi to stay but that will not affect the long overdue sqaud overhaul whether or not his reverses his decision.
This is not a case of giving a dog a bad name to hang it. I acknowledge he has made alot of money for the club. He can still stay to help rebuild the squad in one final dance.
I think you are scared the club will sink into oblivion without him that's why some people here are desperate for someone who is already drawing a curtain to a glittering football career, to still remain at the club. Well, I am not.
If the club manages his exit as good as Madrid did Ronaldo's, we will recover in no time and get back to winning trophies. If you keep winning trophies, investors will keep coming and all monies lost, will be recovered. You evaded the point. The club gave him everything. Hasn't he given the club everything? Making over 200m yearly for the club? You also said he's a quitter, I'm asking you, why did he not quit after Juve, Roma, Liverpool? I mean, he's a quitter, he's not supposed to wait this long, is he? People had a commensalic relationship, and you're saying the club gave him everything. What a joke! |

jpmoriarti: U made good points.
Messi has developed the penchant to quit when things do not go well. He has quit on Argentine a number of times after their serial tournament final losses. He has done it once again with a club who gave him everything, both as a human being and as a player.
This is my stand. Very very biased analysis. Like the way he quitted after Juve in '17? After Roma in '18? After Liverpool in 19? Once bitten, twice shy. Twice beaten? Thrice? And what about 4 times? Suddenly he's developed a penchant for quitting? The same man that went to Camp Nou to urge fans not to loose faith after Liverpool has developed penchant for quitting? See, idgaf about Messi leaving, as much as you do. But you don't libel him to make some uncanny points. You said the club gave him everything, like he didn't give the club everything? Their relationship was a commensalic relationship, both parties were benefiting. Yes, they gave him the platform, but Messi was raking in hundreds of millions yearly. Hundreds of millions in endorsement, image rights, shirts sales, tickets, even trophies. What do you mean the club gave him everything? A club that is paying a player 95m yearly, be sure that player returns well over 150m yearly for the club. PSG bought Neymar 222m, and recovered 222m from shirt sales in a week. You think Messi doesn't bring in over 200m for Barça yearly? Why hasn't the club given another player everything? since it's easy to give. I don't have problems with people who want Messi to go, but don't let your emotions be cloud your judgement... Your analysis is very wrong! Very very! |

According to Alfredo Martínez, Messi's decision to leave Barcelona is irrevocable, it is not a tactic to push out Bartomeu. Furthermore, even if the president resigns, Messi's decision is final, he does not want to play for FC Barcelona again.
