Just stumbled on this thread, & i must say, it's pretty interesting.

Nigeria has a theistic foundation, so to speak, to the extent that you can't hold a public office as an atheist. Worse still, discrimination is almost certain if you openly declare your 'un-believer' status, same you'll get as an indigenous believer. It's sickening & annoying to say the least.

For the Bayern fans, lest they forget, Bayern were two seasons trophyless before winning last year's treble, Messi dug up their legend's 40year old record & even passed it (Muller himself said he's never seen a player like Messi), Schweinstiger himself hailed Barca, calling them the best after Bayern beat Barca 7-0, & Messi scored when Barca beat Bayern 5-1 on the way to winning the treble in 2009. We need to refresh people's memory

Major tournaments that happen once in 4years is your criteria. Talking about tournaments, how many goals has Ronaldo scored in them? Messi can beat his chest that he has at the very least won something for his country, can't say same for Ronaldo though. Get your facts right; MESSI HAS A WORLD CUP GOAL.

Is there an award given for scoring against Chelsea, or is Chelsea as big a club as the likes of Real Madrid, AC Milan, Manchester United which Messi has scored against, or does Chelsea play in the Spanish la liga.

Like I said, its all beef. I know even if Messi wins the world cup, y'all will find another excuse to discredit him. Funny enough, he has 4 Ballon D'ors already without the world cup. I can only imagine how many he'll get when he wins it.

A two legged affair in which Barca conceded 4 & 3 goals respectively, not all 7 in a game. A game in which Messi played just 90minutes out of 180. A semi-final & not the FINAL match (I don't see how its Barca's most important match).

Footballing greats like Figo, Rivaldo, Delima Ronaldo, Maradona, Cryuff, Di stefano et al have all played in this same system you claim messi's playing in without registering the amount of goals he does per season. Even all of these players & more have all considered it an honor to watch Messi play.

And how in the world did Ronaldo, Ribery, Muller & Lewy outclass Messi in Europe? (Hope you know Messi played lesser matches compared to all these players?)

Tired or not, you can't take it away from them, they're the best. If other players are tired, let them step up their game. Bayern might have thrashed barca last season, but your argument would not even raise an eyebrow if you because of it claim that ribery is better than messi, same case as Lewandowski-Ronaldo.

I think ribery will win this though, as a consolation as I just don't see him winning the Ballon D'or

I am a D.E student who is an aspirant of FUTA, but found myself wanted by BELOW 50%..my score was 40%..its not as if i never studied well, its not as if i did not read well, its not as if i did not memorize, its not as if i did not pray, its not as if i did not read my bible, its not as if i did not speak in tongues, its not as if i did not prophesy...here i am with 40%..nd there re so much people who did more dan what i do...but still scored below me..who re we to blame? Mother nature? No of cos...but that doesn't means we should accept our fate. Thou most of the people don't have the intention of going back to polytechnic, i know how most of the people re feeling right now just because of this...pressure from family, pressure from peer group, pressure from neighborhood.....we start to regreet and pray that the world should just end today..some of our friends re smiling now, we re here sitting down thinking that haa, what a great shame, why can't i just pass, why would i not succed, so i will now be going back to that poly in which i had already told them that i can never...in the name of discrimination..

Well, when i told my dad about my own scores, he felt bittered to the extent of him telling me the ball is in my court so i shoul play it anyhow..i told most of the people around me about my score..remember, i was telling them in fear... All what i am hearing is that, thats just too bad.....hmmmmm i am so so bittered while writing this, cos i know what it means, they think i am just too playful which is a naked lie, i spent my time in reading, they will even see me reading....but here i am sobbing..what a shame....

Well i know most of the people below 50% re feeling what i am feeling right now..all what i will say is that.......even thou you will go back to polytechnic, try to make urself better of the best thats in that university....

NB: there are some polytechnics that are rated higher than universities, some very brilliant minds who chose polytechnics ahead of universities because they love to what they've learned to practice & not just to carry BSc certificates about with dull minds. Start having a different mindset towards polytechnics, for your own good.
