Engr. Raufu Olaniyan, Deputy Governor of Oyo State, has described a report by Sahara Reporters headlined ” Governor Makinde’s Deputy, Olaniyan Has Vowed Never To End Rift With His Boss” as not only baseless, but a figment of the author’s imagination. Engr. Olaniyan, who spoke in a statement signed by Mr. Omolere Omoetan, his Senior Special Assistant on Media, said that he had no rift with the governor. He added that even if there was, as a true Muslim, he would seek for resolution and not take a stand that was contrary to common sense as reported by Sahara Reporters. The Deputy Governor remarked that he has a mandate to work with His Excellency, Engr Seyi Makinde, Governor of Oyo State, to serve the people of Oyo State as the Deputy Governor. He said he was totally committed to doing so and would not be distracted by reports emanating from shady sources and mischief makers. The number two man in Oyo state urged the people to disregard the statement attributed to him by the phantom source quoted in the malicious report by Sahara reporters who, in recent times, had become notorious in the propagation of fake news Engr. Olaniyan stressed, for the avoidance doubt, that he would continue to work assiduously with His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, to provide good governance to the people in line with governor’s ideals and vision. Lastly, he advised the forces working to cause disaffection between him and the governor to look for better things to do as their machinations and conspiracies had failed on arrival. https://www.insideoyo.com/i-have-no-rift-with-makinde-oyo-deputy-governor-reacts-to-viral-report/ |

Is this not T A Orji's son? |
Dats good . Recall that the Yahaya Bello's administration initially inherited a 4months salary debt from the previous Government, but within some months as Governor, he started massive staff verification and today, the story is different. He has also paid all outstanding salaries to Kogi workers owed by the previous administrationBut I think the media tells us then that he owes salaries or could this be another paid news |
one of the two report presentations, chairman of the Primary School Teachers verification committee, Dr. Shettima Kullima explained that the total number primary school teachers in the 27 local government areas was 26,450 before the verification. disclosed ex-Oyo Governor Rashidi Ladoja was impeached because he was ungrateful to his late political leader, Chief Lamidi Adedibu as well as Chief Yekinni Adeojo. Adedibu, now late, was referred to as the strongman of Ibadan politics, while Adeojo is a prominent politician in Oyo. Speaking during the launch of the autobiography of Adebayo Alao-Akala, also a former governor of Oyo, Obasanjo said Ladoja had turned deaf ears to his entreaties and he paid heavily for it. “You pointed out on page 140 that Ladoja picked up a quarrel with me for reason of a non-existent third term,” he said. “I didn’t know that Ladoja picked up a quarrel that his becoming governor was due to the grace of God and major contributions of the two people. “I pleaded with him to make accommodation for them both. He told me that they were all Ibadan people and they knew how to deal with themselves. He subsequently proved himself right as they dealt with themselves and he, Ladoja, came out the worse for it.” Alao-Akala was the deputy governor of the state from 2003 to 2007 until Ladoja was impeached. On his part, Alao-Alala said that he was a product of grace, saying God paved his way to greatness. He narrated how his long anticipated desire was fulfilled, notwithstanding threat to achieving the dream. “The tragic death of my father in a road accident in 1952 single-handedly threatened my dream of getting to the cusp of my life aspirations,” he said. “But providence miraculously found for me a path to the top.” Alao-Akala said the 140-page book contained how he attained his desire and changed the lives of the people in the state. “How I became governor of Oyo state is also documented which serves as a reminder to those who may be prone to being quickly swept off by the amnesia of history that God used me. “How myself and my team of dependable colleagues at that period in time changed the lives of the people in the state.” https://www.insideoyo.com/ladoja-paid-heavily-for-being-ungrateful-to-adedibu-yekinni-adeojo-obasanjo/
