martyns303: Let them go…. They will soon find out it’s not all roses . Not even America or Canada but UK! UK that will tax everything back, they will earn the money, and spend it all on tax, accommodation, transportation, electricity, heating and many many expenses and at the end of the month, they will be left with nothing.
Nigeria is not a rich country when compared to the west, in Nigeria how many people actually take their health seriously and go to the hospital or willing to pay good money for medical services. Medical services are ridiculously high in the west, that’s how they are able to generate revenue to be able to pay better. As a country, yes there’s corruption, but we are making do with the best we have.
And before anybody comes for me, I am also a professional, I have lived in the UK, SA, UAE and recently US. I still will rather work in Nigeria. Please, do not wait till tomorow. Just take the next available flight back home. If you are a health worker then, the minister is waiting for you. We are all waiting for you. |

Ovamboland: Is the payment to the legislators meant for eating and buying toys? Are you aware of the purpose to which the allowances is meant for? If the present crop are not using it for that purpose does it mean the purpose is now useless and no longer necessary?
The budget of the national assembly is about 130bn which includes the salary of about 1000 staff working in the assembly complex. This is about 1% of our 13 trillion budget. Even if you reduce it at most by 50% it will be 65bn.
Now we need to triple our budget to meet our growth needs. We need about 26 trillion extra, how can saving 65bn from NASS be the major reason for not having 26 trillion? We are looking in the wrong place Oga going by your analysis, oya remove 1,000 from 200m people in Nigeria. If Spending 2% of our ₦13trillion budget on less than 2,000 people does not give you worry, then I must be dreaming. |

GENES11S: Not everyone has a bank account...das fact.
There are lots of tyrants in government. But a sane government cannot force everyone to open a bank account against their wish.
NIN is an upgrade of National ID card
I'm not a government official I disagree. You are not getting it. Register your SIM with your BVN or National ID or Voter's Card. Simple!!! If you don't have any of these, go get one. Simple!!! No excuse of not having a bank account. It's way beyond that mediocrity. |
Phones › Re: NCC: Telcos To Pay ₦200,000 Fine Per Line Over Failure To Verify NIN by bareal(m): 3:44pm On Sep 06, 2021 |
RodgersAkpafu: This goes to show that the government is stoopid Why dont they adopt the style that the Jamb Registrar used which I think is very brilliant Everyone registering for Jamb MUST have a NIN linked to their application The picture on the NIN and the jamb picture side by side That way it will incentivise the young ones in getting their NIN and linking it to their phone numbers
This should be a rolling policy, but typical black men dont have the mental sense to understand that things are not to be done in Gestapo manner (gra gra/by force ) When you do that, people naturally resist The Jamb registrar idea should be replicated across board Again, why not allocate automatic NIN for people with BVN and consistently ask them to upgrade. That will also be seemless without having reservations. Dumb people in power! |

GENES11S: [sub][/sub]
Without getting towards the technical side of things, here is a simple explanation:
Bank verification number (BVN) and National Identification number (NIN) are not the same.
BVN as the name surgest is for those that are operating bank account(s). Don't forget that many people do not have a bank account. Are you telling me that, in this present age people still do not operate banks? How possible? Are you saying that if FG request people use their BVN to register Sims, they won't go get one? What about National ID? You people are not sincere with the whole charade....simple!!! |
