Romance / Re: Help!! I can't get over my Ex. I think of her everyday by bareal(m): 8:40am On Apr 24, 2021
JackDaAlienz:
When i travelled to Russia to study medicine I was 23 years when I meet a very beautiful Russian girl named Yulia
She was 17 turning to 18.

I loved this girl with all my heart and she was so in love with me. Infact she loved me too much.
I was her first black boyfriend
We dated for 2 years
Then we broke up because I needed some space.
We still became very close friends after the break up.
Until she got a new boyfriend.
She called me crying and telling me that she has not loved any guy in this life more than me. But she doesn't know what to do about this rich guy who wants her.
I told her to go ahead, that if he can give her the life she always dreamed of living.

She clearly want this guy because of his money. Her new boyfriend is very rich and me I wasn't financially strong then.
Her boyfriend knows I'm her ex, so he forced her to block me everywhere.
We haven't talked since 3 years

I moved on like nothing happened
Now I'm back in Nigeria
It's been 3 years now
But here is the problem
No matter how hard I try to forget her
It doesn't work
I still get flashbacks of our love, romance and all the good times we had.
No matter how hard I try, I just can't forget her.

I got into a new relationship which ended shortly because the girl I was dating said I was still in love with my ex. That I talk about my ex more than I talk about her.
And it's true, I unknowingly bring up my ex in our discussion.
How do I get over my ex of 3 years.
I sometimes cry at night thinking about her
It's so weird, I have never had this kind of bond with a girl.

How can I remove her from my mind
It's like I'm spiritually tied to this girl

My friend get out of this shiit hole...that's your solution

Imagine for a minute that you are a trained soldier.

In fact, a Lieutenant.

You have a wife and two kids.

Now, imagine that during the quarterly rotation, you were sent to Bornu to fight insurgence (Boko Haram)

On this fateful day, as you were moving with your platoon.

There was an ambush.

Gun fire ensured.

You shot with all you've got.
You know that you have a slim chance of surviving the attack.

As you were running out of ammo, you called john, your buddy, for fresh supply.

No response.

You glanced and saw John's head split into two halves.
By your left is Barry, his torso turn and one of his arm lying 10 ft away.

With nothing to fight with, you made a run for it and took a deep dive into the abondoned crater while bullets were getting fired at you.

You passed out

When you woke, you saw yourself in the hospital.

The doctor came in.

"Officer, you are awake, we did an emergency surgery. We had to amputate you"

We are sorry.

You then asked.

'What of my team mates ?"

"Well, you lost 18 men and 2 survivors", the doctor replied. "You and Barry.

Barry is still in intensive care."

Now, 3 months later, at the defence headquarters.

Your commanding officer, General Gida told you. "You are back, lieutenant "

"Good news!

We rounded up all the terrorist that attacked your platoon after in another battle confrontation."

They are now in rehabilitation center.

"Can I see them?" you asked

'Sure!'

You got wheeled to the center.

They opened the door.

And yes.

'There they are!'

Across the hall, Young men in white flowing gowns were eating fried and Jellof rice with multiple chicken parts.
Some were drinking wine.

Laughter filled the air.
Having a ball.

You were told they will soon be taken abroad on scholarship.

Government sponsored.

As you were getting back to the generals office.

Just outisde the defence headquarters gate, you saw the wives of your team, now widowed, as they agitate with high voices and placards.

"We have been abandoned!"
"Pay us our husbands benefits!"
"We are hungry"

Just imagine all that.

------

It is the reality of a Nigerian Soldier in the corridor of terrorism.

Written by Afam B. C. Nnaji.

There's no better way to put it. Unfortunately, it is the reality of a Nigerian soldier curtsey the Government. Sad.

The HR person is at fault I am in HR and because of these kinds of reactions, I usually start my calls by introducing myself first so the other person knows who is calling and is at ease. He could have simply said "I am John D calling from bank. That wouldnt hurt. That said, the lady should have been cautious as a job seeker that was just interviewed and expecting phone calls. Lets call a spade a spade please.

No, you are not completely right. The HR wanted to know if he was actually talking to the right person before introducing himself I guess. He asked if he was speaking to Ms so so so, she could have simply said yes and who am I speaking with please? That wouldn't hurt her at all.

Lifestone:

Now you see my point. Yoruba fights with brain and we've been winning, why change the tactics.
Nigeria should be restructured and be made to work for all, that's what all tribes should be pushing for. Let's collapse the current state structures to Regions with full autonomy including fiscal autonomy (full resource control), State & community police as it is done in United Kingdom with necessary ammendment to domesticate it. This does not require armed struggle or unitary declaration as been pushed for by Sunday Igboho and the so called Professor.
It will require consultations as the case may be. This should be the direction of the push instead of clamoring for obvious disaster.

But, these people still do not believe in restructuring. That's the point. You can ask Osinbajo himself.
Politics / Re: Yoruba Nation: You Can’t Deceive Us, Akeredolu Knocks Akintoye, Others by bareal(m): 10:10am On Mar 26, 2021
AbijaJ:

Akeredolu is the governor of Ondo state for the next 4yrs, and is therefore saddled with the responsibility of ensuring that security of the lives of Ondo residents are protected. If in his judgment, a rally planned by a secessionist movement would pose a security risk to his state, he is within his rights as governor to prevent that. We all saw how endsars ended and till today we are still bearing the brunt. Prof. Akitoye should find a more receptive state to organize his rally since Ondo has rejected it.

Prof. can never claim to speak for every yoruba because that would a lie and gross misrepresentation. If yoruba secessionists are serious about their ambition and truly have the support of most yorubas, they should organize, mobilize, and form their own political party, then elect representatives of their of their own choosing who will drive their agenda at the national and state assemblies, since they feel all current Yoruba politicians are not good enough for them. That's the proper way to go about it to avoid division and possible civil war within the race. Because whether you like it or not, some sections of yoruba society are either not in support of this secessionist agitation, or they are on the fence about it, and these aren't even politicians but Yorubas from all walks of life. Yes.

Such people may number in the millions even. So will you keep threatening or kill all of such people? Or would you rather communicate with them to make them see reason with you?

Awolowo earned the right and privilege to be called yoruba leader because he contested for elections both locally and nationally, and Yorubas all across overwhelmingly voted for him, even in presidential elections that he lost. That was enough proof of his general acceptability and endorsement by Yorubas as their leader.

Prof. Akitoye has never been given such a collective mandate by Yorubas. If Akitoye wants such mandate then he should play by the rules and become a 'good' politician (since you his followers believe the current ones are all bad) like Awolowo and test his popularity and then use his political power to drive his agenda.

You still do not get it. Akeredolu is not doing it because he loves his people but because he's trying to protect his largesse. Don't be deceived, these politicians are hypocrites. They only care about their pockets.

AbijaJ:
I am with Akeredolu on this. We are operating a representative democracy, therefore the only people that can claim true representation of their people/constituents are their elected officials.

That's why there are elections every 4-yrs for people to decide whether they want them to continue representing them or not. These are the only people the constitution (no matter how flawed) bestows with the power to act and speak on behalf of their constituents. Not even traditional rulers can claim such authority/powers.

In light of that, Professor Banji Akitoye, who represents a mere pressure group, can only claim to speak for those that elected him into his position, and not for the Yorubas at large. And even Akeredolu himself can only speak for the Ondo State citizens that elected him to lead them till his second term tenure expires. Prof. Akitoye should join a political party of his choice and run for elected political office if he wants the authority speak for his constituents.

In light of these facts, all secessionists should start their agitation from their localities, by pressurizing their elected representatives to do their bidding at the state and national assemblies. Or wait to elect new representatives that would share their secessionist views at the next election cycle.

Elected officials? I laugh!!!
