Alright, thanks a lot bro.

My next question is, what happens to those who picked TRS as their choice LOS in the interview, since there is now a dedicated recruitment process, the Tax Apprenticeship Program, for recruiting TRS associates; will these guys be affected in anyway?
I chose TRS as my LOS and the interviewer told me that if I'm successful,I may not be in TRS.so it means it won't affect anybody.just that candidate that chose TRS may be in ASSURANCE or AUDIT.

Nice one bruv!!! You've said it all.
I think being open minded is the key. Most of my questions were questions I did not see on previous threads. Maybe I did not read well but most were based on what I currently do.

So the idea is just for you to expect anything, do not lie (follow up questions will expose you), and be confident.

Good luck
Is a Sis sir.

No pun intended but this is literally the driest thread on Pwc interviews ever ever ever!!!! Advisory guys any update on your interviews Would you rather send me a mail or would you want to create a WhatsApp group for the few us!

I realize this is a competition, however, we can do much better! I’m yet to see any Advisory or maybe I skipped it saying their interview experience

Please let’s do better
maybe.Taking after 2017 set.Anyways....i gained a lot from previous sets and i owe it to the next set too. i have done mine since may but my phone got damaged so i could not deliver. there is nothing new but here are my tips:
1,Be familiar with everybody before the group discussion,it makes it easier.
2, Expect any topic for the group discussion.from topics relating to Nigeria to topics relating to behaviors in work place.if you don't have the idea of the topic, just try to gain knowledge by letting one or two people take the the lead and then you can add yours.
3,when you are called for the interview, let them know if you are nervous, they will try to calm you and you will feel better(it really helped me and they are nice n experts)
4,Read wide.starting from the history, core values and purpose of PwC,Relationship between the big 4, how to answer behavioral questions(this helped me with our group discussion topic).be ready to convince them you have a reason for choosing your line of service and why they should hire you.
5,if you have work experience, it maybe more easier as questions that follow will be based on how you were able to tackle challenges, maintain relationships, e.t.c(what i did was to choose a scenerio for different questions before the day).pick news that you will be able to defend very well.have you ever failed?,like i said decide on an example to use but end it with how you turn the failure to victory.if you don't have any work experience other than NYSC, make use of it very well and also think about curricular activities that you have engaged in(
secondary school, university, your life experience and NYSC.)Just prepare examples before going.
6,ways to avoid many questions is to talk about it before being asked.for instance if you are giving an example and it's an example that you can add your motivations, go ahead.it means question about motivation may not be asked again and so on.
7,i have been seeing things like they will be looking at you like an idiot,we smiled all through the interview.so relax.
8, lastly,be smart, think fast(you may be asked to give a judgement),be honest and most importantly be prayerful.
ohhh yes...your introduction is very very important and make sure you jot properly during discussion as you will be asked to leave the paper.i didn't jot properly though(but i'm not sure if it means anything or not) These are my tips...it doesn't guarantee that i will get the job but i hope it helps someone.may God do the best for us.see you
all in July by God's grace.
THE PRAYER CONTINUES........... cool cool cool cool cool cool cool

Recap of how my interview went.

First thing to note is the interview is at Landmark towers not CPP place.
Though should you make the same mistake I made this morning fixing it is quite easy (Landmark is a stone's throw away)

My interview was for 8:30am and I got to the venue quite early as I was coming from the mainland and I didn't want to risk getting there late due to traffic.

I met a lady who had gotten there earlier for the same interview and soon afterwards others started to arrive.

There was 10 of us and we got spilt in two groups five per group (the selection was random or at least so it seemed)

The first stage was group discussion, the first 5 went for theirs first and when they got back my group went for ours.

We had taken out time to plan our discussions and assigned roles before going in so this helped during the group presentation, every member of my team had valuable contributions and the team leader coordinated us well. I handled the presentation.

Fresh topics are delivered to each group so don't bother asking me what topic was asked, however, know this, the topics would be something you can relate to. It also helps if you have a diverse group.

We all went back to the waiting room where biscuits and tea as well as water was available for those who required them.

Interviews started not long after. Each group had a panel and each member of the group gets called to be interviewed one at a time in the order with which they arrived.

I arrived second this meant I was interviewed second.

The lead time between the first interviewee and my interview was about 90 minutes.

Do take bathroom breaks as much as you need before your turn.

The interview itself.

Well I can't repeat blow by blow all the questions I was asked but I'd say this.

A. Be prepared to talk about yourself excluding everything you have on your CV. Especially if your CV isn't loaded.

B. Majority of my questions if not all was tied to my freelancing career.

You will be drilled! You can't coast through the interview if you have not prepared well. These interviewers are not there to joke they take notes and ask intelligent questions based on your response.

What tip would I give you?

1. Read up on answers to standard interview questions.

2. Prepare answers to behavioral questions. 90% of what I was asked was behavioral based on answers I gave earlier on.

3. Be ready to defend the unit you picked.

4. Smile, breathe and be confident. Don't rush with your answers.

I wish you all the best

Now the wait begins...
Thanks for the tips.wish you success

Congrats guys. Just one more hurdle to cross.

I would advice you immediately go as far back as 2015 to gain valuable insights as to the kind of questions asked during the interview.

One method I used was to write down all the questions asked (excluding the questions that appear to be similar) and try to tackle them as if it was an interview session.

For those without interview experience, this may be the perfect time to get to work. Practice, practice and practice.

Once again, congrats to those who made it.

For those who didn't, pick yourself up and keep pushing.
The tax apprentice programme should start sometime next month. You can start preparing for that.
Thanks...it's working...
