As a young Nigerian, I wonder why other regions have 6 states each while south East has only 5 states.
I also wonder why the oil producing areas who suffer oil spills are neglected but rather people from other areas allocate and share oil blocks among themselves.
I wonder why my cutoff mark to gain admission to unity school/JAMB is higher than other regions candidates.
I also wonder why federal roads in South East are neglected while other regions have motor-able federal highways.

Dele Giwa is from Edo State Research (Read, Read and Read) Equity in distribution of resources, balanced political appointment from all tribes, resource control are the panacea for peace and One Nigeria Anything short of this will breed revolt. jomoh: Bros I wanted to stay away from it but you sound intelligible.
A Biafra referendum is the best way to go.
No country. I repeat no country has ever been the same after forceful separation. Even the one with referendum still find it hard to go.
It took scotland decades of war yet nothing came of it. Even after that it still took them hundreds of years to gain the little they now have.
The Basque Nation and Barcelona in spain are still at it after more than 5decades of civil war.
My view.
Even with referendum, it will still take a lot of patience and absolute unity for it to materialise.
Palestinian has being at it forever. Even though it is being frustrated by the powers that be.
Also if Nigeria should get the permanent security sit, Biafra should be forgotten because Nigeria will the have the power or at least the negotiating power to veto any referendum submitted.
My broda One Nigeria is not by force but we stand to gain a lot as a united front than a divided house, especially against the western oppressors.
The Igbo nation complain about maginalisation. Was the Yoruba race not maginalised? No tribe has sacrificed its great sons for this nation like the Yorubas. Awolowo, Dele Giwa, Abiola to mention a few. All in the name of fighting for relevance in the country. The history of Yoruba people is filled with different tales of wars and battles both within and with outsiders. The ones won and the ones lost. Its not that the Yoruba Nation is afraid to stand alone. We were a very strong expanding nation before the white people came. We have actually lost more than we have gained since the forced marriage but we've seen that to succeed as a nation against the white oppressors, we need the unity.
Speaking of marginalisation. The catalans were bared from speaking their language for years in Spain. It could sometimes carry a death penalty. Talk about the height of marginalisation and oppression. Yet they are still at it. Until recently that they voted in pro secessionists.
Also like someone said up there. No region in Nigeria of today totally has what it takes to stand on its own. We are all dependent on each other for one thing or the other. |

YOU [ b]ERRONEOUSLY[/b] LEFT OUT RESOURCE CONTROL, Let them control their crude oil. kadis007: Dear biafrans I support ur struggle 100% but my problem is ur approach. I would want to suggest the following procedures and i can assure u its going to work out successfully. if u can unite and follow the following steps then i can tell, welcome to the Republic of Biafra in advance. STEP 1 withdraw all ur services from Nigeria and render the Nigerians as u are the backbone of the country STEP 2 Withdraw your kinsmen who are public office holders e.g Ike Ekweremadu, deputy senate president, Peter Obi the D.G of S.E.C STEP 3 Reject all the ministerial nomination from the so called Nigeria. STEP 4 Endeavour to reject Federal Allocation. u re very industrious people u will be better off without it STEP 5 Stop all form of importation through the Nigerian sea port so that Nigeria will crumble without ur Tax STEP 6 Recall all your sons and daughters from all parts of Nigeria to relocate to home untill this fight is over then Nigeria can beg them to come back as expatriate STEP 7 Lock up all ur shops in idumota, Alaba international, Kano main market, and every other market even in the remote villages accross the country. STEP 8 Go beyond closing of the Niger bridge stop all Nigerians from buying or selling in Onitsha Main market or Ariaria market in Aba. STEP 9 Make sure u make ur Visa very hard for Nigerians. STEP 10 This fight can be achieved without Violence just like south Sudan. Finally, make sure u dont fight it with weapons. Igbo kwenu!!! hee! . |

You are only attracted to Biafran crude oil. But will not appoint them into political office or repair their roads. Crude oil is the only reason you will not allow their independent. Treat them like other tribes and they will be happy to stay in Nigeria. Guk: You have just confirmed that it's irresistible whilst yours is not.
Once you make your Biafra an attraction, there will be a natural "pull" attraction to it by indigenes and non indigenes but at the moment it's unattractive.
As for buying up other people's backyards, pls buy more so that more IGR can realised out of you whilst your own Biafra continues to experience low IGR as it remains unattractive.
As long as Igbos do not show love to their land and themselves, self determination is just an excuse for acts of brigandary |

What happened to the constituency allowance @Nkechi Nwaogu collected for eight years? Is she returning the loot to Buhari because she obviously did not utilize it for the people Stop deceiving yourself...@Nkechi Nwaogu, TA Orji, Abaribe, Orji Uzor Kalu, etc failed to deliver democratic dividends to Abians. They are not role models for democracy. Gbawe: Where did I say she is a saint? Why are you guys so fond of mischief? My point is that we are seeing tangibles that bears out her assertion that Buhari has indeed removed the veil of cabal and cult-like economic secrecy the PDP operated with in every sector. Secondly, you do not know her mind to conclusively come here to tell us she has not joined the APC to be part of the movement for change. It is amazing how you people are mind readers unable and unwilling to give others the benefit of the doubt. Whatever her antecedent, she may have had an epiphany on her own "road to Damascus" that has now made her ready to support change.
I have always touted the nation that Nigerians can behave and be good if those at the very top lead by example and show themselves to be about what is best for the people. This always has a trickle down effect same as Nigerians will loot and embrace criminality when those at the top show us that it is okay to rob your nation blind, bully others with guns and scam every sector cynically. We can all recall Buhari making the call for all hands, even those previously soiled severely, to reject the past and come together to help him move Nigeria forward. Some, regardless of their past, will heed this call and reform. this woman may be in this category and you have no right to assume otherwise. If PMB can formally extend a hand of friendship and reconciliation, all in the effort to move Nigeria forward, then you have no moral authority castigating this lady. |

Gbawe: Is everything about political value? Is it not plausible she may just wish to be part of the positive change that is now clearly palpable? I keep saying it that PDP has bastardized the morality of Nigerians and made their thinking aberrant. Critical Ministry/portfolio una go call am "juicy" Ministry/portfolio. A politician defects perhaps to join a movement of change or progress you will ridicule the decampee as having "no political value" or label them as "embittered" after "losing out". When will we begin to see that politics, and everything attached to it, is merely a means to an end i.e a tool that facilitates the development of a people and nation? You are indeed gullible @Gbawe to believe she is now a saint. For quitting PDP for APC @Nwaogu has suddenly become a change agent? What do you take Nigerians for? If you are a Zombee, everybody is not. Give yourself some sense. |
