It's how the Espionage Act works actually. And it comes down to security clearance. In the world of Intelligence, never mind the MAGAbots, procedure applies when clearing an individual to handle confidential information. . All these folks who work around government and media understand the basics of this.

Therefore, regardless of being invited to the chat, in the world of the NSA, that doesn't equate to security clearance. The reporter is very well aware that said invitation is erroneous, and consequently must treat everything handled as classified.

Let's not forget the premise of my assessment. The conversation was not carried out in a SCIF. And considering this is a high-profile meeting of the 6 most-senior national security officials in the country and more, a file of two were shared about the war plans.

The premise of my conclusions is based entirely on this. If any files were shared on the app, they would have been clearly marked minium, TOP- SECRET. If such files were in there and reporter goes on to read them, he can never admit that he did. If he does, he has no security clearance to do so, and it would become a crime. That's how it works.



Look at the publication from Jeffery Golberg himself. The title alone gives away the fact that he became aware at some point that he was added erroneously. And also, very crucially, he removed himself from the group. This is consciousness of the situation.


His story is beautifully written. He feigned not knowing it was real until he saw reports of the bombings on X. It's good legal cover. But as a senior reporter, he knew that if he continued to stay on the group, he would be in breach of the Espionage Act. And so he removed himself, despite being accidentally added.


He declined to publish the name of an active CIA operative on the group. He also declined quoting from certain texts messages from Pete Hegseth, because of the classification of the information, and potential endangerment of American Military Operations. He did so because, again, he became aware, and if he did publish, that would be a crime.

To be honest, you and I are on the same side of this argument. We are being side tracked by this nuance of right and wrong. It's not necessary.

Let's fall back to the MAGAbots responsible for/defending this atrocious security breach.

And y’all can say what you want about Goldberg, he waited until after the action to speak up. He was more responsible than any of the heads of security that we depend on for our safety. If he went for clout the moment he got the messages and the mission got compromised, the American troops lives that could’ve been risked/lost would squarely be on Hegseth’s hands.

Hegseth should be thanking him with a bottle of gin & a sack of kola nuts. Instead of blowing hot like a teenage hothead. I’m glad Goldberg brought it to the public. If he went to them privately, they would cover it up to avoid losing face. Who knows what would’ve quietly happened to him to make the story disappear. And none of us would be the wiser.

1.) The guy Bemeruca (too dumb to think of that himself) got that conspiracy theory from, already debunked his own conspiracy theory about a purposeful effort to get a message to Europe.

2.) Because it is illegal on it's face to speak about classified info in an unclassified space. In any other White House the DOJ would have opened up an investigation already to figure out what sources and methods may have been compromised. One of the members was texting from Russia where he was having a meeting. Russia tries to hack everything and the assumption there is your device is compromised.

3.) Despite what Hegseth said, the White House has already confirmed this happened. It's not a he said she said story. It happened. Who you may think Goldberg is has no bearing on what he reported as it has been confirmed.

4.) Again, it doesn't matter who set up the chat or who accidentally added Hegseth, everybody in that chat knew what they were doing was wrong, most likely illegal and very reckless.
The people who were supposed to safeguard American secrets all were overly reckless with it.
In any other administration they would resign. They should resign,be investigated and be prosecuted.
