The drive to move to clean , green renewable is a sinister attempt to have more govt in your life Climate passports, 15 minute cities, limiting your Carbon footprints etc. ESG took it a notch higher with companies getting access to cheaper financing if they hit high ESG scores. Ask Sri Lanka what happened when they banned fertilizers ( oil by-product) to maintain their 98/100 ESG scores.
