Example. xyz.com is a single branch company with it's webserver inhouse. It's IP address resolves to the location of the webserver . Knowing the exact office location gives the location of the IP.
In Ijebos case he uses a DHCP address assigned by the ISP. The IP block could be thousands of miles away, but a reverse IP look will show the ISP block of IPs registered at their head office.
One can obtain a block of IPs from the early ISPs. And use it anywhere on earth as long as it's routed correctly.

I guess the same for your work email, the IP geolocation is irrelevant as long as you are tunneling in from anywhere.
About bank accounts. Since when did banks demand a fixed IP to access your money. You need a fixed IP to access your personal bank account ? Corporate accounts are provided with CHAP . Challenge Authentication Protocol.
