Poems For ReviewGoodTimes: Happily Never After by basille(op):
Blinding flashes
and sound of clicks.
The photographer's toy
records our joy.
The beach air filled
with laughs, smiles and kiss.
And friends long lost
Were found once more.

Popped cans of beer,
and loud echoes of "cheers",
"Let's build a fire!",
were all that we yelled.
few piles of sticks,
a bonfire was built.
Like kids, we danced around,
as the fading sun went down.

We gazed in awe,
and exploded with laughter.
As we told tales of mischief,
triumphs and disasters.
The fire soared higher,
bringing life to the Night,
and it's menacing flames,
reflected grudgingly in our eyes.

Not so far off
from where we were: reminiscing,
Some palm trees swayed
in elegance: Dancing,
to the melody
Of a howling midnight wind.
And the moon lit the stage
with its silver rays.

We strolled by the coast,
wading through the sands,
love smitten, Nemerem and i,
hand in hand.
We sat and we stared,
as the ocean breathed,
and in such serenity,
our worries were blurred.

I stole a quick kiss
on her youthful lips.
She was shy at first
then responded quick.
We moaned and we gasped
and off went our clothes
drifting to bliss
beneath a radiant sky,
while the glimmering stars watched.

Her hair lit like gold.
While the morning sun rose.
As dusk gave away,
We both smiled, Awake.

Forever in euphoria
was all that we wished.

but the truth reared its head,
an enemy to our wish.

For our

Holiday retreat ends,
and a journey home awaits.
Some Long open roads
and deceptious gates.

Our

Holiday retreat ends,
a journey home awaits.
Long open roads and
unwelcoming gates.

The end.

This thread is eye opening. No wonder most Nigerians behave like animals.
Any one that hits my child will spend time in jail.
I don't care what any stupid religious book says, hitting your fellow human especially an underage is wrong!

Children should be corrected with love not stupidity.

And most of these parents don't practice what they preach, children emulate what they see.

In as much as i hate this man's comment, i wouldn't deny that there's truth in what he said.
This should serve as a wake up call to africans, not when they start mass deportation of our brothers.

But all this is assuming this news is true, cause i can't seem to find a creditable site online carrying it.

I don't have time for silly arguments either. I explained everything in a post up there. You are to look for it or shut up, I guess.
You love black, not because it's beautiful, but because of your ego.
You are blinded by your own stupidity. keep it up!

Teempakguy:
white skin was not built for beautification. It is how human skin is supposed to look like. undecided
The black skin is an adaptation to the increased ultraviolet rays. Humans are attracted to bright objects. That's why architecture visualizations utilize bright environments. In cartoons, people are subconsciously drawn to the lighter skinned people. It's a well proven fact which you can prove yourself by conducting your own experiment. My claims are falsifiable. You can just go out and test them instead of insulting people over the internet.

So, where was I? Ah yes. Scientific fact that supports my ridiculous claim, well, the most mathematically attractive face in the world, is a white face. It was made by stacking individual faces on top of each other according to the law of averageness. Science doesn't care about what you think. But what is true.
You're just trying to sound smart but you end up sounding more ridiculous. If the human skin was meant to be be white, why were the first humans on earth black? Or do you mean there was a mistake in evolution?

Architectural "visualizations" don't use bright colors because humans love shiny things. A lot of factors like color combination, Color psychology (the mood the color portrays) and ability to reflect heat, comes into play when deciding "visualization" design grin. Once again, another fallacious statement.

I do not intend to start my week with a lame argument and i'am also not disputing your claims of humans being attracted to bright objects (hence why i choose to ignore the rubbish you wrote up there, of the most mathematical attractive face in the world grin) however what i'm disputing is the generalization is such statement, i am not attracted to bright objects as you claim, i love black because it's beautiful, there's a thing called subjectivity you know.

Teempakguy:
Honestly, to be quite unbiased, the white skin is more aesthetically superior to the black skin. This is because the white skin is a white diffuse/glossy surface that gives an organic/alive feeling that makes humans excited. The black skin was designed by evolution for maximum durability and strength and as such, aesthetic quality has beem compromised.

So, I really don't blame people who bleach. If your end goal is the ultimate beatification of your physical self, then bleaching is the way to go. Scientifically, at least. It's not a slave mentality at all. Lighter skin is better in terms of beauty. While the dark skin is better in terms of durability. One CANNOT have everything.
The white skin is "aesthetically" superior to only your black skin, and if you don't mind please tell me how you came to this fallacious conclusion of yours? What the f*ck is "white skin being built for beautification", are you really serious or just trying to be funny?
Be kind enough to share the scientific fact that supports this ridiculous claims of yours!

And just the morning Fela's song "yellow fever" came to mind before opening this thread.

True talk from whoever wrote this write up, people who bleach need a lesson on self acceptance and self-love.

because, Black is beautiful!

Says who? According to modern reasearch, it is impossible for man to have built the great pyramids of Egypt at its time, considering the level of precise architectural and Engineering knowledge involved in its construction. How did it get there?
All over the world, ancient technological artifacts are being discovered, these are artifacts way more advanced than their time, an example being 'The genetic disc'. Who built those?

Ndeewo ụmụnne m.

Nice Thread @Op. I remember stumbling into that blog when i was doing a research on Igbo traditions and mystical system. The owner of the blog is quite knowledgeable and i enjoyed the story of Amadioha taking vengeance upon a guy in america, who treated a woman badly.

Talking of the igbo tradition in the east today, jonydon above me has said it all. Due to the aftermath of colonization, we lost a great deal of our indigenous religion and some aspects of our culture, only to be replaced with alien systems and our culture is still on a steady decline today. Sad.

I plan on indepthly studying the igbo traditional and mystical concepts (which by the way is very obscure), and that of the Yoruba's (ifa) sometime in the future.
