Politics › Re: Governor Fashola Builds First Suspension Bridge In Nigeria by basilo101: 6:28pm On Apr 30, 2013
what type of suspension bridge is this? the bridge piers still have short spans hence the aim of using a suspension bridge is already defeated. those cables suspending the short suspended part of the bridge is virtually of no structural significance since the bridge can still stand without it, it only helps in giving the bridge more aesthetic appeal. the aim of using suspension bridge is to achieve longer spans of the bridge piers and do less work during pile driving
Keep deceiving yourself that your vote will count in an election in Nigeria.if you truly think you can predict what will in 2015,then it will be daft for you and your likes to still continue to vote a party that has ruled for 13 years and nothing to show for it.

I'm sorry to say that I have to subscribe to those who belive that mo'r'ons should not be allowed to vote.

musiwa24: most of you did not go to school, up ilorin, ilorin forever

The velocity of circulation is what you people assume is GDP.

Even when you look at velocity of circulation within states in Nigeria. Lagos state does not have the highest velocity of circulation.

jonathan or fashola or tinubu they seem not to be grounded in economy or engineering etc.. look nearly most area that why you find the opposition or even the PDP not able to make any articulated case on an issue, because it look like they lack understand of the issue like the PDP..
Is dia anytin lyk Ilorin State in Nigeria?

Glorified villages with bricks is not development - Nigeria is just not it when it comes to development...

I'd put Zimbabwe, Ivory Coast, Algeria etc.(2nd rate countries in Africa) ahead of Nigeria.... Nigeria can't compete with the first rate countries in Africa(Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, and South Africa) in terms of development!!
Travelling is very sweet. Try it

Anambra as a state is 2nd only 2 Lagos, hence d OP is ryt. Bt if u nw pic out individual cities, dem fit cari last sef. Anambra does nt hv a modern city bt dey probably hv d highest number of rich people. All dia towns r villages r filled wit mansions, making d whole state a cluster of semi-cities. Same can nt b said of kano, enugu, akwa ibom, edo, rivers, evn abuja. Since we r talking abt states n nt cities, dey r at d ryt position. NOTE: I am frm enugu state
mods are protesting my previous post so it is hidden. i will rephrase since they compromised and modified the title.

It will envy me if they had said the money was made in "traders village". Im happy when "traders" make their living in a village on my soil; their livelihood depends on the soil of "milk and honey" and I therefore can bring "traders" on their knees when they misbehave on my soil.

grin grin
dis can only b true if u r frm Lagos state. Ogun man and Benue man r equal in Lagos because geo-political zones r nt recognizd in d constitution. States stil remain d federating units

matrixme: Mister, firstly, you need to know that some of us are comfortable where we are, even if it is not Abuja or Lagos. Also, it's not all of us, like the government of Nigeria; that would say what is, where it isn't. How can you say a city is to accommodate only poor people and you are proud of that fact? I bet even New York has a lot of homeless people that are just citizens as the most expensive celebrity. The city is supposed to be a conglomerate of peoples, either rich or poor. Besides, people are at liberty to say their minds over what they see on the internet, as long as they are not trespassing their boundaries. Thank you
wrong comparison. Abuja is to nigeria wat washington DC is to USA. U cn compare new york wit lagos, former capitals n comercial nerve centers

ozodigboo: You are the one who is lying - abeg free the guy joor.
How can you say the earth's circumference is 40,000km ??
Or that the distance from south to north is 1,100 km ??
I dont really know which Geography book you ve been reading.
I know that the distance from Awka ,[ capital of Anambra state ] to the border between Enugu & Ebonyi states is exactly 100km.
Even when travelling at a steady 100km along ds route, on d expressway, on sundays with less traffic, will prove it.
And these 3 states are the smallest in Nigeria [ in terms of land area ].
Now you want me to believe from port-harcourt, up to benue, plateau , and past the far northern states of jigawa to the border with Niger & Chad is just 1,100km ?
Please, Geographers on NL should help.
Thank you.
radius of d earth = 6400km
